What a great video, thank you! I had been searching for a replacement for the Blendia and reached out to Dynamix about pricing when I heard about this mixer, and was actually emailed back and told they have a new homogenizer line for cosmetic applications. It is called Misceo and is also made by Dynamic. I'm not sure if the price point is less than Dynamix Turbo but it was specially made for cosmetic applications and is a fraction of the cost of a lab homogenizer. It comes in a few different sizes for small, medium or large batches. Hope this helps!
this is very helpful indeed, Thanks for sharing. Would love to hear your opinion after you have tested this new model
@@skinchakra Im looking to purchase the Misceo in the near future. I'll make sure to come back and let you know how it goes!
@@missylee5 that would be great. Thank you in advance
missylee5 thank you so much 🙏 for the suggestion, do you know how much the misceo one cost ??
@@shyleo1072 I don't recall the amount, there are a few different sizes but they are pretty affordable, a few hundred dollars. You can contact the sales dept at Misceo-cosmetics.com for exact pricing
Elham, you are a legend! Thank you.
thank you. This is very flattering
Hi, I bought a wonderful green Kai Blendia like yours, almost the last one on a french webstore 3 years ago. Thank you for this test.
thank you . How lucky you are to have grabbed the last Blendia. That green colour is amazing and cheerful
For an o/w emulsion and for w/o, how long do you have to mix the IKA ULTRA TURRAX 25T basic? I just bought one on Ebay and I don't know how long it takes to get the smallest particles possible, for a stable emulsion. I know that stability depends on several factors, but now I am referring to the mixing time. Thank you!
Just found your channel and I love your videos! Keep it up, new subscriber here 🙋🏻♂️ thank you for the information shared
thank you
Thanks so much for this comparison! I've checked out the Dynamix one with the homogenizer attachment and also the Misceo 250 P - both seem to be almost identical, with the only difference being that the Dynamix is 220W and Misceo is 250W. Do you think there are any other differences in the two that would warrant buying only the Misceo? On ebay, I'm finding the Dynamix for A LOT CHEAPER! Please share your thoughts!
the main advantages are that you can change the agitator tool and can put it on a stand, both of them must be purchased separately but that is an advantage of the Misceo over the dynamix
Thank you for great video. Would you suggest Kai Blendia or Dynamix for 10 l emulsion?
none of them is suitable for this colume. Dynamix has other instruments for professional application that can cover your batch volume
Hallo! What is the diameter of the dinamix emulsifying head? Thank you
it's 4 cm and suits a broad 100 ml beaker but to avoid splashes it's better to work with 250 ml upward
@@skinchakra thank you so much for the answer!
I hope all is well whatever time this message meets you. I was wondering how probiotic liquids are emulsified, mechanically or chemically into cosmetic care products, such as lotions and leave in conditioners. How can they keep their integrity and probiotic activity and a stable PH?
Thanks for your kind words. This is something you need to ask those who make and preach probiotic products. We have never recommended making any probiotic formulatio
Hi. Thanks for comparison. Is the blender head for dynamics in stainless steel so I can use it for Cold process soap?
yes you can
If you kept going with the kai blender and gave it more time, would it have homogenized as well as the dynamics? And gave the good consistency we saw with the dynamics?
possibly yes
HI this is very informative video. im just wondering if you can give me an advice if homogenizer is adviceable for blending fragrance oil to water to make water-based product and for fragrance oil to mix well with soy wax for scented candles? hope to hear from you soon, thank you.
oh dear no and no. A homogenizer will not help.
Can the Dynamix make completely clear gels? Without introducing any air which make the product non-transparent? Ty. ❤️
basically yes
Thanks so much! Is this suitable for making a skin serum that includes water based and oil based ingredients? And how much liquid can it emulsify at once?
your serum is W/O, O/W or bi-phase? This can easily manage 500 ml but there are other models available for higher volumes. The capacity is however dependent on the viscosity of the product
Thank you for the comparison!
thank you
thanks so much for this informative video! I am making vitamin C serums containing ferulic acid, hyaluronic acid, l ascorbic acid, and vitamin e, do you know if this device will be suitable? When I make it using just a handheld mixer that has 2 metal whisk, I find that after bottling the product the vitamin e eventually separates
thank you. It is impossible to make any suggestion without knowing the product type and the ingredients you are using. Last week, we had a blog post about the tools you need for each kind of product category. You can have a look at that
Because Vitamin E is oil soluble. You need a solubilizer or emulsifier
Love your channel! Could you suggest one for 40 L to to 100 L? Thank you.
thank you. You shall contact a represenative of Silverson or IKA in your region
Hi!! I m a little bit confused as of the Dynamix way of using...for example in a prof lab we would use- for making lets say an Olivem1000 emulsion- first a homogenizer for 3 min and then an overhead stirrer. A tool like Dynamix is replacing both, in a DIY situation like mine? Thanks
No, dynamix is not replacing both
@@skinchakra thank you for your reply. So i guess Dynamix is replacing the homogenizer...in this case what can replace the overhead stirrer? (or is it vice versa? - very confusing). Dynamix do have a hand mixer tool with 4 blades and an accessory of 2 blades...maybe thats is the overhead stirrer replacement? Please, shed some light into this darkness :) :)
@@sushicat6055 well an affordable replacement for an overhead stirrer is your arm and a spatula
@@skinchakra :) :) :) ok then, i m ready!!!!
@@sushicat6055 happy mixing
What the difference between ultrasonic homogenizer vs non ultrasonic?
Ultra sonic uses waves, that's not for the cosmetic industry
If it contain less bubble in emulsion what is the meaning of it?
the meaning is that your emulsion is less exposed to air , remains more homogeneous and is less oxidizes as well as looking more smooth and feeling more smooth
@@skinchakra Thank you for your respond. If i want to make emulsion, and to test all the ingredients added does it very necessary mixing with homogenizer? Or just normal blade mixer? Because i learnt that homogenizer, make the particle much smaller hence its more stable (but i dont know if that affected the properties of ingredients)
@@tereluzuartiful that depends on the emulsion type and the ingredients. There is no one size fits all
homogenizer It is can use in liquid soap making?
no it will create huge amounts of foam
Well, in the usa thats about $400
good to know.
where can we get dynamix homogenizer.
so sorry that missed this comment earlier. Most online kitchen appliance providers or directly by a distributor of dynamix in your country
I couldn’t get a Blendia in the UK, I searched for weeks and my search led me to dynamix, apart from its weight, I absolutely love working with it. It’s fabulous even in small blends!
oh, thanks for sharing your opinion
Man, that is one thick persian accent lol
