- That's right, its time for the man, the myth, the legend!
Honestly, replaying this has helped show how great of a first solo case this is in the game, that will be fun to go over at the end.

So Red & White Mixed together to make Pink I get it now! Also "Watcha Naaame?!" 😂
YOU'RE LOVERS!!
Yesss!! I really was hoping you'd pick that!
I think at the time of this case, Lana Skye is the chief prosecutor. Even though we don't meet her till the finale case of the game, I also saw that scene as White talking to Lana.
And it fits better with the narrative of Rise from the Ashes. Bluecorp could’ve gotten info on the SL-9 incident, which means Lana is in his pocket, but also Gant. White might know the *whole* truth behind SL-9, so he has one bit of blackmail to gain favor with the prosecutor’s office, and *THE* blackmail on Gant to make the police do his bidding.
@@JJ_R And I think Gant mentioned that he knew Wright already when we as the player meet him for the first time, it could be possible Gant heard about the trial and knew Wright solved his blackmail problems
4:27 He is not only Mr. White, but also very much a Pink Man.
Fun Fact #2 (I have played this game many many times, I don't expect this to be the last time I have bits of fun trivia to say when this playthrough is not bound by series spoilers) [Yeah, btw, if you somehow haven't played the AA Trilogy before, I suggest you don't read this]:
There's a couple of interesting line changes from this version to the Trilogy version with Nick's little speech at the end of this second day of investigation.
"It's the beginning of a new century, yet with crime it's the same old story" got changed to "Times may change, yet with crime it's the same old story". It's not hard to imagine that's because it's not 2001 anymore (or 2005, if we're looking at the DS version's release date) and the timeline of the series would place this game in 2016, which isn't exactly "the turn of the century".
And then there's "I never thought I would end up in the defendant's chair myself", which got changed to "I never thought I would end up in the defendant's chair myself *for this case* ". As a standalone game, this line made sense, but as of Trials and Tribulations, we know Phoenix has already been a defendant in the past in Turnabout Memories. The line got changed to make clear that he is talking about this specific case so it matches up with establishes series canon.
WHAT'S YOUR NAME
10:17 and so, the wish of many was fulfilled…
23:57 I was hoping versions of this game that came out after the original release of “Rise from the ashes” retconned this part, but the Trilogy Version has shown this to not be the case. As a reminder, the Chief Prosecutor at this point shouldn’t be a man, because her name is *Lana Skye.* And what would Redd White have to blackmail her with? How about the “truth” about SL-9?
I love Redd White, he taught me splendiferous which is a real word, so for that I will always be fantabously grateful
Wait, didn’t White say he built up Bluecorp in 10 years? How did they start blackmailing Grossberg 15 years ago then?
@ 16:38 Its Drunk Mia. XD
I was hoping you’d pick “Your Lovers” choice at 11:30 with Grossberg it the funniest dialogue.
This guy is just like Tanaka, Shido and Nakabachi; or a reverse Shadow Broker. He disguised a blackmail ring as a company to benefit himself, the Shadow Broker is just a criminal/non criminal organization that just gathers data for anyone's benefit. Everything about this guy pisses me off; he's extremely selfish, greedy and arrogant. I don't know how anyone can work for him.
0:50 The only thing that's big is his rear
Epic Rap Parody- Ohhhhhhhhhhh!
2:20 His desk inspires me to throw up
6:35 Rakkman- I am Throatscrarch! I am the pants! I! AM! RAKKMANNNNNNN!
Redd- (punch)
Me- I'm sorry, did I get punched or did I get bit by a mosquito?
Redd- (punch)
Me- Hey, Phoenix; if you see Redd around, could you tell him his grandmother tried to work me over?
Redd- (calls his secretary, frames Phoenix and gloats)
Meme- It was at this that we knew Redd effed up
Epic Rap Parody- I'm about to end this man's whole career
I think that if you had picked "the painting" followed by "you're lovers" the conversation would have gone a bit different
0:29 What’s ur naaaaaaameeeee???????
10:11 Happy Pride Month, everybody!
11:35 Dang it! If you said “You’re Lovers”, when questioning the lack of the painting, here’s what’s said;
Phoenix: “It's not something I can claim to understand... But you and Mr. White are lovers, aren't you!”
Grossberg: “W-w-what! My boy!”
Phoenix: “You sent that painting to him! As a sign! A sign of undying love!”
Grossberg: “M-m-my boy, please! You're letting your fancies run away with you! Where do you get these bizarre ideas?”
Phoenix: “I... I don't understand how you could...”
Grossberg: “That's because I'm not, we're not... Don't be ridiculous! ... Enough. I'll swallow my pride and tell you all.”
Phoenix: _“I knew it! They are lovers!”_
Grossberg: “N-no! We are NOT lovers!”
Guys come on, I know it’s been five years but you know who was Chief Prosecutor at this point in the timeline.
It’s Lana Skye, remember?
Whatcha neeeeem?
