He might be one of the most skilled athletes on the ice in the world, but it must have been very mentally difficult for him. No offense to your team, but you didn't need a player like Karlsson, you already had Burns. As great as these dynamic defencemen are, you can't have too many on one team. The Sens had a game plan that put the puck on Karlsson's stick as much as possible, it's a totally different system in SJ.

He was honestly our second coming and they let him leave to save alittle bit of money that Ottawa will continue to invest in “rebuilds”

As a Swede I also love him for his offensive skills, but I don’t let that blind me from the fact that he has only had 4 +seasons out of 17. To me defensively he is not Norris. The NHL should split the Norris into different categories including best offensive defenseman, best defensive defenseman, best +- stats for a defenseman and Norris(best defenseman considered all three categories)
How can you get the Norris if you have a big -season?.. It undermines the purpose of that prize.

Because he’s paid 11.5M to play like vintage Karlsson just like how Price is paid to be an one man army. The fact that Sharks unexpectedly gave up a surprisingly good prospect in Norris and one of Stutzle or Byfield make the Sharks fans and other hockey fans have even higher expectation for Karlsson even though the deal at first was a fleecing

Karlsson played poorly, became injured, and he seems to be losing a step as he gets older. However, the man has pride and those highlights show off his high hockey IQ - which hasn't gone away just yet, so I'm expecting him to bounce back next season.

I was a Sens fan for Karlsson's entire time there, and, except for the pass to Brossard, I don't think any of these other picks evn belong in a top 20 list of Karlsson plays - let alone top 5.
This dude playmaking ability is outrageous. In 2017 alone, he created a top ten list.
