This watch is perfection… the finish is top notch, the bracelet ergonomics and the movement is very high technical specs… the Titanium is stunning

@@WatchInTime yes I did …and I know its a fake the one you review, however, I’m sure if you see the real version …the finishing is top notch … the bracelet ergonomics are perfect ….the titanium version will be impossible to fake … they are pretty much hand -finishing and its not like a Rolex which are machined and mass produced making way easier to fake

These replicas are getting scary good. As you said, buy the seller, otherwise it will be near impossible to spot if buying overseas.

Thanks for the video. Without seeing it in person, it’s hard to say but the crystal seems to throw off quite a bit of reflections, which the real one doesn’t. But that could be the lighting of how it’s shot. And if they do everything else so precisely, not matching the two-sided reflective coating would be an easy give-away unless it’s expensive to do.

Don’t really agree.. for the price point. For no watch you pay the price for the movement.. compared to the mark XI (same movement) you have a unique bracelet which specially designed for that instead of the standard IWC bracelet.. which means, basically every part from that watch is different / detail oriented designed compared to the mark XI. On top of that, you need to check competitor prices. Integrated bracelet watches like zenith Defy are slightly cheaper. But feels way cheaper if you wear it (I tried it). On the other hand you have the Oak or nautilus which are crazy over priced. So there is always an cash increase for integrated bracelet compared to „normal“ watches due to design and competitors 😉 so I totally agree that even tough the movement is average good, the watch need to have an upgrade from a price perspective

The very first Ingenieur was made in the 1950s, and it basically looked like a dress watch with lume and antimagnetism added to it. In the 50s and 60s, most watches just looked like dress watches, because that was what watches were supposed to look like. Those modern non-integrated-bracelt Ingenieurs you're referencing were actually supposed to be a modern reinterpretation of the original 1950s Ingenieur design.
Look up the "IWC Reference 666" and compare that to the modern non-Gerald-Genta Ingenieurs and you'll understand what I'm talking about.
Also, the Ingenieur came out in 1955, and the Rolex Milgauss came out in 1956, so the Ingenieur is actually the original professional engineer's watch, but unfortunately today the product line is only really known for being a 4th place Gerald Genta watch.

So truth, it looked actually like my DeVille! And it was a real tool watch anti magnetic in history. So Gerald Genta anctually reimagined their design,,,, to later be re re imagined 😂 it would have been better they just brought back Gerald Genta and appart bring back original Ingenieur …. Thanks for the comment that enriches the discussion, did you saw also the fun surprise at end?

@@WatchInTime yeah, the Ingenieur has its own rich history, but IWC isn't the best in marketing decisions (but really you can say this about any brand that isn't Rolex or the Moonwatch, like how Blancpain can't properly market how it is the original submariner). They are still one of my favorite companies, though.
I did see that you were looking at a fake watch! Though, material finishing and visual things are the easiest to fake relatively speaking (still pretty difficult). What isn't so easy is the quality of the engineering and assembly, and that part will be apparent when you're handling the crown, wearing the bracelet, or testing its water resistance. It's easy to make something LOOK quality, but it's hard to make something FEEL quality.

I dont have a real Ingenieur but might buy one still i own more than 400 watches all levels and i can tell you this feels solid. Smoth in right parts and wears nicely - it is scary how good they are getting
