I found this 3 years later- Adorable! I absolutely LOVE your style! I would much rather take the time to make 1 of these than a dozen regular ol’ potholders! I’m new to sewing/quilting and have never done a binding before, and I can’t hand sew… partly no education, partly that my hands are bendy and painful, can you stitch the binding down with a machine? You should make little kits with your fabulous fabrics to make these! I just bought several of your pouch panels with zippers-your site was out of stock but I managed to find them online!- I bought one for my sewing friends birthday this July too! She’s an experienced sewist but I think your unique fabric & style will be a hit with her too! Liked, subscribed and all the things!! ❤️
Oh these are so cute! I love them so much! I could watch you sew all day lol....I love your work! Thank you for these lovely video tutorials, I look forward to each and every one😊 Happy holidays to you and yours 💗
Hi minki . I tried making this but the steam-a- seam 2 gunks up my needle so badly that I just gave up 😖. My stitches jumped and my thread broke so many times . Is it because I used the regular steam-a-seam 2 and not the steam-a-seam 2 lite? The steam-a-seam packet says it sews “without gumming needle”. What did I do wrong ? Do you have any tips for me please ? I was really enjoying making your project until this happened. Hope you can help . Thanks .
Hi Nurun, I am so sorry to hear that. I haven’t used a regular steam a seam so I don’t know the difference. I would skip the fusing the felt on the base fabric. Just use some dots of fabric glue or pin. 1.Sew the felt on your potholder fabric. 2. Quilt the batting with the lining only. 3. And the sandwich your potholder and batting. 4. Binding to finish. If your needle breaks again , use #90 needle. Skipping the stitch: change new needle. Your needle must be bent slightly, that’s why it skips stitches. I hope it’s helpful.
@@MinkiKim thanks so much for your quick response! This is very helpful . I will use fabric glue instead so I can finish up what I started . And change my needle . Thanks again !
They are so cute. I couldn't find these kind of potholders elsewhere on RUclips

Thank you for this lovely tutorial and giving us a free template 😍 . Are your opening acts done by your daughter , Claire 😉?
Yes, it’s Claire. I hired her as my hand model. 🤗😆
I forgot to ask, what materials are you using to make your snowman? Again, I am new and have not seen this before!
Thank you! I used wool felts that you can order online. I personally like 100% wool felt. ❤️
Very cute!! I miss hearing your voice during your tutorials.
