🏰 A Disney fan’s hub for all Walt Disney news today!
If you’re looking for exclusive Disney news or want to experience the inside of the Disney parks, then you’re in the right place. The magic is just a click away! 🚀
For over 16 years, WDW News Today has been your go-to for all things Disney - news, podcasts, radio, and video. We've had a blast sharing our love for Disney, and it's all thanks to our dedicated audience that we're now the best website for Disney Parks News worldwide.
prolonged silence. . .
quietly, and with feeling, “i had to.”
A grown man that had to get that hat and stuffy. That’s why we love you. The passion for the parks makes it ok for us other “kids”.
Love these Tokyo vlogs! It was too cute seeing Tom so happy with his giant stuffed Jaws! 😂 And I cracked up when he said "there's always money in the banana stand!" 🤣🤣
The "softer side of Tom" with the Jaws stuffy and the tiny pancakes was excellent! Great content, thank you!
These Vlogs are the best Tom! You are the best travel guide, and we really appreciate you sharing so much with us all. How is that tight toilet of yours going 😊 thanks fella!
This vlog is absolutely amazing! Thank you so much Tom for taking us along!
Love the Jaws hat.😂
Thanks for taking us to Universal.
Awe you called Spencer a friend. As a longtime WDWNT viewer, so proud. 🤣
Watching now. Glad you’re doing videos outside the Disney parks! Thanks for sharing.
I picture you riding the bullet train back to your apartment wearing the hat and open carrying the squishmello. Locals: Meh, tourists Tom: I love it here! Have a blast. Your videos are so good!
The hat is everything
In the hotel, the appliance on the bottom shelf by the fridge is a hot water pot (a staple in many asian homes, they maintain hot water at the ready with a push of a button). And yes, I think the larger one on the floor by the window is a dehumidifier.
I truly cannot wait for the final Tom’s Tokyo Vlog as we follow him to a DHL and watch him cry at the cost of shipping home all his “I had to” moments 😂
What a fun video this was Tom! The catch your own fish restaurant, the shark man hat, Japanese McDonald's! I loved this from beginning to end and am looking forward to see what else you did!
These vlogs are a lot of fun.
The Shinkansen is so cool.
I'm here noting things like "oh, have to pay extra for bigger bags on the train" when I don't plan on ever going to Japan 😄
Thanks for sharing your experience, Tom!
Oh Tom! The shark man hat had my husband and I laughing in joy! Your trip is so incredible, I desperately want to hop a flight and join you!
"There's always money in the banana coin Michael" That needs to be a shirt 🤣
the big plushie shark ❤ yes, you just gotta!! happy to see you enjoying the delights of Kansai! The USJ annual pass is pretty good value, right? 😊 It’s no Disney, but the Harry Potter and Super Mario areas are delightful.
I am enjoying your extended trip. Thanks for taking us along.
i have been loving these vlogs! i’d love to see more of the hello kitty offerings in USJ! i haven’t seen much, but i know she has more presence in the park than she does in the states.
i’d also kill to see tom suffer at sanrio puroland in tama! i think he might hate it, but it would fill me with joy. it’s a lovely theme park, i swear! 😂
I got tons of the workers in Super Nintendo World there getting excited by my Mario shirt. Very fun!
🎉hooray! Thank you Tom for taking us to see Sakura and ride a Shinkansen! The McDonald’s breakfast was delicious. Thank you for letting me live vicariously through you! It’s also helping me narrow down my adventure planning for next year when I finally go. (Star Wars celebration Japan)
That jaws hat is hilarious!
yes OMG the jaws hat!! I nearly died! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Love these vlogs.
I love this! We’re planning a trip to Japan next year. It’s very helpful to see someone with similar interests showing me what to hit.
The name Teresa or テレサ comes from the Japanese verb tereru (照れる), which means to be shy or bashful. Boos hide their faces when you look at them.
“They can’t co-mingle.” I have WDW pressed pennies in a Universal “Escape” (remember when that was a thing?) collectors book. It’s very similar to my six flags book (identical, same color and size, just different logo)
I know the walking jaws man from skits from SNL back in the 70's they were hysterical!
Every vlog I see makes me want to book a trip-especially during cherry blossom season.
Thanks for making me laugh 🤣, I haven't in so long. But you wearing that Jaws hat and flapping it's arms was so hilarious. Keep having an awesome time ❤.
I love sakura festivals -The trees at night were beautiful.
Another solid vlog. Love the beyond Disney stroll through Japan. More please. And my wife loves the Jaws plush.
If I had the time I would watch all of these vlogs multiple times. That enjoyable.
Keihan is another private railway operator in Japan, many of whom also own hotels, department stores, and attractions. Your second pronunciation is pretty right. It’s like Kay-hahn (hahn like Han Solo).
Thank you for all your adventures in Tokyo !! I would like to go some day.
Love this Tom, thanks!
For me, the absolute pinnacle of this vlog… shark 🦈 hat 😂😂😂❤️
Little did you know is that non of the Japanese people understand English and sometimes they speak English a little
Plenty of people here speak English, the cast member at the Sunshine City Disney Store today was fluent
@WDWNT this is just a lie lol, maybe get out of the TDR and central city bubbles for once.
@@WDWNTgonna say because like I said some of the Japanese people don’t understand English but sometimes they do
Love Jaws! I have an odd "bathroom phone" Disney ghost story from when I worked the front desk of Grand Flo. Too long a story to put on a comment but I remember when WDW had a bathroom phone. Maybe they still have them at the Grand.
Awesome video! Truly enjoyed it. Keep em comming! Just bring the camera as you go out for dinner, we will watch.
The train station bento boxes (ekiben) are fantastic!! I highly recommend it.
They have not been good in my experience 😶
My name is Craig Dennis i watch your new videos all the time and i in joy all of your videos all the time and you have a nice rest of your trip and you take care👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you for travel Vlogs! Think this has been my favorite one so far! Worked out as we are staying at same Uni Hotel so nice sneak peak into where we are staying!
I’ve been conflicted on that fishing restaurant but I think this swayed me to just try it!
Can’t wait for next one!
The sharkman hat is the best thing in the whole world! You are not lying when you say that universal studios Japan has the merchandise game on lockdown. That is amazing!
Loving the Japan blogs as Japan is definately on our list of places to go. As a child of the 70's Jaws and Star wars are such huge parts of my child hood and going to see back to the future as a teen also gives it alot of nostalgia for me. Here in the UK watching all the developments for the Universal Great Britain park, things are movin on and looking good, would love for the Jaws ride to get a new lease of life over here :)
The shark man hat 🤣🤣🤣
OMG the Shark Man hat was the best!! Thanks for taking us along Tom! You didn't take us on the Jaws ride, bummer!!
They don’t allow filming
This made my day! These videos put me in a good mood. Looking forward to the next entry! ☺️😀
As someone who wants to go to Tokyo watching these helps me think i actually could and it wouldn't be as scary as i think haha
The stools with handles, if its stupid but it works its not stupid ... it's actually genius
great great video
Ooooo Tom, that crunch on the potato pie. Woooo hoooo Hope Lucas brings me one back.
I'm loving this Tokyo Tom!
Loved the vlog and ALL the merch!! Keep embracing your inner child!! That JAWS, aka Bruce , stuffy would have come home with me too!!
Tom Thank You for sharing LOVE seeing Japan. Great stream Great vlogs.
Molly from Mammoth Club would LOVE your Jaws merch!
Tom, you need to go see the Torii and Itsukushima Temple on Miyajima just outside Hiroshima. The Torii is the actual one that Epcot's is modeled after in the Lagoon. The whole island is amazing and during low tide you can walk out to the Torii and even touch it. It's about 1.5 hour Shinkansen from Osaka. Might as well complete the Japanese pavilion.
Does every dish have a raw egg on it? Souvenir Medallions are great from anywhere you decide to get one! Ha! That made me laugh. "You can't co-mingle your souvenir medallions." The Jaws hat is the ultimate! The Jaws plush is the best! So worth it not fitting in the bag!
That banana chip bag!!!! Graphic is beautiful!!!
I love seeing all your purchases!,
I love seeing everything you do in Japan. Thank you for showing other things to do. Hope see more. I would love go there one day. Want to go to their castles, gardens, aquarium, Pokemon center, seven eleven, noodle places, cat rescue cafe, river boat rides, anything history related, arcades, and islands. I love try candy strawberries on stick. The bowing deer be must also for me. Heard they have an island of cats and rabbits? Wonder if rainbow grill cheese taste good? I see many places want check out there.
I need that hat! Like I miss the Amercain theme parks having weird and wacky hats like that!
I also wondered what those machines were. I think my friends figured it was a dehumidifier??? I also could be wrong tho.
It’s like that Simpsons episode where they go to the “Slaughter House” restaurant.
There they get to pick a cow from a stable before it is dispatched and served to them.
the device in the room is an air scrubber/filter. I only know from other vids of Japanese hotel rooms
Tom is heading for Universal Studios Japan as video footage.
i wish i could go to USJ atm, cause of all the My Hero merch, but jobless atm
lol. You throw away torn jeans, and the hotel staff kept rescuing it from the trash. Whereas I foolishly kept the shirt and socks I wore from a previous day in a target bag NEXT to the trash can at a $700 a night room at The Venetian, and it gets thrown out!
Same. Had my bag of souvenirs by the recycle bin in NYC- got “accidentally thrown out” - tip keep your receipts separately or take photos of your haul w it!
Thanks for sharing some of the other sites on your trip. Very interesting. Not sure if this is your thing…are you a fan of cats? It would be very cool to see what a genuine Japanese Cat Cafe is actually like. If it’s not your thing, that’s understandable. Either way thanks for the videos and all that you do. Be safe and have fun.
These thumbnails are killing me 😂😂
The best flying coaster at this moment is at phantasialand in cologne Germany.. I would love to see Tom head to Europapark in Germany or Phantasialand.. efteling in the Netherlands is another great theme park and resort area . Those 3 parks are some of the best in the world as far as theme parks go . It just depends on preference. Enjoy 😉
A “shoe dryer?” They have that at WDW! Only for some reason, they call them “hair dryers.” It looks like you don’t have to stand there for half an hour holding it though.
This does two shoes at once and has proper settings lol
Go to Kamakura. Lots of temples, and somewhere I visited often when I lived there.
its ok to not be refrigerated. even here in the states there is shelf stable tuna fish in the stores (mixed with mayo, etc)
Next time I visit I definitely want one of those sandwiches with a “large serving of Bum and Yonaise!”
You need to have the beef stew pie they have around christmas it is my absolute favorite but the bacon potatoe is second. They had an awsome caramel one earlier this year that was great to.
😁 I've been waiting for your non-Tokyo Disney vlogs, Tom ! You do know that you can either refrigerate or toast your Lunch Pack, right ? We, Japanese, love old-school Universal films too, but I think you are wrong about the majority of international tourists not interested in the manga, anime, and game IPs USJ features on a constant basis. Lots and lots of tourists from both the East & West go to USJ because it's THE only Universal Studios where you can enjoy those popular Japanese IPs 👍🏻 Detective Conan, in particular, is an outstanding manga that's even more detailed than DisneySEA in terms of how much effort its author puts into his research and writing. As a side note, please try our Carl's Jr. while you are here ! lol They are pricy, but they use high-quality Australian beef ! Their quality is country miles ahead of the American counterparts 😂 The syrup you got for the pancakes was a combination of apple and cream
Once the egg has been un-refrigerated for that long, I’m not interested lol
@@WDWNT Oh, come on lol It's not like it's gonna give you food poisoning
Love see the Jaws items! Would you be going to Ni Nijigen No Mori DragonQuest or Godzilla parks? I would be interested in your DragonQuest outside RPG review compared to Star Wars Hotel experience.
Where was the place in the beginning where you saw the Sakura illuminated at night?
cool font
Japanese McDonald's almost always hits. No shame in it. We get it once or twice a trip.
Pie looks interesting- loved the ebi and fish happy meals for breakfast
You sound like me to my husband about having to have it !
Hoping you'll go to the Disney store in Tokyo, and maybe the Legoland in Yokohama
Disney needs a Zorro attraction in Fla.
I sandwiched plenty of ham and cheese today for lunch
Tom, try a robe on , for kicks! Lol.
When traveling to NRT to Tokyo: Mt. Fuji, Osaka, etc. 7 - 11 days in Japan; do you need a JR pass?
You can load a Suica card on your phone and it will work on all lines but you have to buy a separate Shinkansen ticket
@@WDWNT got it...
Jr pass is absurdly expensive now. Use Google maps to map out your travel plan and it will show you the cost of each leg. Get the sum of that and compare to the jr week pass.
Will there be a separate video tour of Universal Japan?
It’s in the next vlog
@@WDWNT Perfect, thanks!
Has Tom described his new camera yet? Have I missed it?
Air purifier
Fish are not friends. Fish are food. :-)
Tommy, you may wanna pull a Tim Tracker and marry an editor some lucky bride can take care of all your editing for you
I learned do not work with your significant other twice now, I’ll stick with this lol
I would walk a mile for a pastel dinosaur
“Shark still looks fake.”
You're the second person to be surprised at the shark nuggies. Does America not sell Flake in your fish shops?
No one in America eats shark. Most people here find it immoral
@@Dime-sr2fu Fish is fish.
@@lynjenkins6473 that's why everyone in America gives you people the side eye. You say we're fat and we say you're immoral. It all balances out
Tom❗️ Welcome to Osaka❗️
Did you eat TAKOYAKI?
Let's enjoy together in JAPAN🎉
I’ve had takoyaki many times before
Large serving of Bum & Yonaise
My favorites
Hopefully Tom gets this WWE/WWF analogy here...I LOVE the audio over the footage. It reminds me of the old WWF Coliseum VHS tapes where you KNOW Bobby Heenan and Gorilla Monsoon are NOT in Japan for the Haku vs Brutus Beefcake match but do the audio in post production. Bringing back all the good feels. Love these vlogs Tom!
❤️
I would rather take the butcher’s word for it.
I challenge to America .
Tom. I'm TAKOYAKI.
It's very very sweat.
No other tast.
so, Eat me.
In other words,
Please work together ,WDW NT THE SHIP❗️
