Thank you that is really kind of you to say! Hopefully I did them proud, although we do pay for the music we use in our videos so that's propably all they care about hahaha 😅😋
The drone views are so incredible, so glad it's up and running. Who would of thought that the desert area could be so beautiful and perfect weather this time of year to hike. You inspire us all, thank you. :)
Okay... ...Totally excellent video! Awesone place and views! I laughed so much at the last scene with Sweetie! Looking forward to the next one... ...as usual! You are doing such a great job.
I love the Superstitions. I always come into them from Apache Junction and that drive getting in is a feast for the eyes. The mirror lakes, show capped mountains, and the winding roads give access to many many hikes that are just wonderful. I am glad you enjoyed it as well!!
Beautiful hike!! You should always carry headlamps or at least a flashlight (not on your cellphone) when you hike, for safety reasons. Also an emergency shelter of some kind, a small, light tarp would do. Strike anywhere matches or some way to start a fire are also a good idea. You never know when something will happen, and it's best to be prepared. The Boy Scouts are totally right. And I totally sound like the mom I am. 😉
The state park near that area is Lost Dutchman State Park...really great views from the campground loops there. Great park. Thanks for showing us the beautiful scenery from your hike. Had to laugh at Sweetie’s welcoming nuzzles and licks. Such a wonderful dog. 😀
Many, many thanks for the beautiful, eye-popping videography, the finest of any full-time RV vlogs online. How wonderful to be able to experience it without the discomfort of actually traveling there and hiking through it myself. Enjoy your strong, youthful hiking legs. Like everything else, they don't last forever. Eat dessert first, life is uncertain.
What a gorgeous area this time of year. The heavy winter rains have worked wonders. Thanks for taking us along..! I hope Jenni doesn't have a black eye after sweetie's right hook. 8-)
The trail coverage with the drone was excellent and really highlighted the attributes of what a drone can contribute to a video. It was almost as entertaining as Sweetie in the sign off :-)
We were just camping at Roosevelt Lake a couple weeks ago. We did the SR88 over to Apache Trail! Never again! Anyway, great video and we too are looking for higher ground right now... LOL... Love the vid!

Wonderful video once again. You guys produce great entertainment. It must take hours..no days, to put it all together. The results are spectacular and show real talent. Then there's the icing on the cake....Sweetie!!!!!! I sure do love me some Sweetie!
You two find great places, I should have just followed you after Quartzsite. I didn't see these awesome places. You are so close to 50K subs! That will call for a celebration!! Thanks for another great video, keep them coming :-)
You've got to be careful right after sunset. Snakes like to come out onto the trail because the rocks are still warm from the sun. Glad you ordered better lighting. Beautiful video!
Very cool hike. On our way home we passed right by this location. Will not repeat that mistake. We were going to stay somewhere near Roosevelt Lake but instead passed the area to spend more time at Petrified NP
Great episode. Excellent drone work, I fly the Phantom 4 Pro Plus myself. I can't believe you guys have gone this long without headlamps. I keep one in my truck one in my RZR one next to the door in my camper and one in my emergency bag. I do a lot of night riding the trails in Utah, Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, and Idaho so headlamps are my friend. Maybe I'll run into you guys this year out in Montana I hear that's where you're going to spend part of the summer. Some really nice trails hiking biking ATV whatever in the Cooke City area of the Beartooth mountains. Stay safe, enjoy your travels..... "Wally" my service dog and I are looking forward to your next video.
I freakin love that dog!! She missed you. Beautiful drone captures. I'm embarrassed to say that I lived in the Phx area for 7 yrs and never went there. Someday....
Thanks for explaining the elevation gain on the hike. This is very important information because of my husband has had knee surgery, so it would not be wise for us to attempt this one. It is so nice to at least experience this one vicariously.
Great video, you may have been able to see Bald eagles at Canyon lake where you flew your drone. They live right there. You never got to boulder canyon, you were looking down into La Barge canyon and La barge creek. you would have had to go about 2 more miles to enter boulder canyon and see boulder creek. But what you did is what most people do as well. Beautiful hike.
Gila is pronounced Hila. Your hike looked fun and gorgeous, lived in this area my whole life and have never been to the hiking area. We just drive through. Never heard of Boulder Canyon. Hmm a new discovery perhaps? I think your Goober missed you while you were gone.
I grew up with that in my back yard, but the valley started to get to busy for me so now I'm in show low AZ. Which you should check out. It does get busy here to in the summer because everyone from PHX come up to escape the heat. But it's in the pines and lots of lakes and rivers. Almost GILA is pronounced HE-LA. For future reference.
Interesting that the trailhead sign said, "Tonto National Forest." That scenery is about as far as it can get from anything I know as "forest." No tall trees; no shade. BTW--that spire peak you showed in the background looked a lot like one I saw on a documentary as being one of the landmarks for people searching for that "Lost Dutchman Mine." ;-) Don't you bring flashlights with you? Hiking after dark can be really treacherous--especially with all those rocks in the middle of the trail. Good thing you ordered headlamps! Sweetie missed you! That's why she was all over you! ;-)
Its "heela" (gila). Search for a gila monster but they are poisonous ! Love your vids.. Very helpful. Ill try to use your links if i buy stuff for our first trip coming soon!
You did a great job of showing the area. This is the best time of year, especially following a wet winter. The down side is it will be a high fire risk in a couple of months after things dry out in the hot summer heat. The outcrop is Weavers Needle. One theory is the shadow comes into contact with the Lost Dutchman gold mine. There are lots of stories on the mine and Jacob Waltz (or Waltzer). Some say it is an actual vain, some say he found a gold stash hidden by the Peralta family when escaping Indians and then some say it is gold stolen from mines in Wickenburg, AZ. Then there are some saying there is no mine. Lots of people have looked for it and some never returned. There are also stories of folks who tried to follow Jacob Waltz to his mine when he needed more gold but never made it back. He died in Phoenix and is buried near downtown in the pioneer cemetery. Only he knows the true story. My guess it was not a conventional vain of gold but a gold stash he had hidden out there somewhere. Canyon Lake is one of four on the Salt River chain. It has a pumpback system that runs water through the dam during the afternoon during peak electric demand to generate power then at night when demand is down, the water is pumped back out of Saguaro lake below to refill Canyon for generating power the next day. There are big horn sheep that water along the shores of Canyon Lake but I do not which side.
We've spent a lot of time around that area though we have not hiked the Boulder Canyon Trail. Keeping that in mind for the next trip. If you have any interest in museums in the Phoenix area, I highly recommend the Heard Museum and the Musical Instrument museum. While that sounds kind of corny, there are instruments from all over the world, including the piano that John Lennon used to write "Imagine" and John Denver's guitar.
It would take a huge battery bank and solar setup plus extra equipment to run air conditioning off of it. Gone With The Wynns tried it once and had a video of it.
Do y'all walk sweetie on a leash out there boondocking or does she go potty without being leashed? I will have to keep our baby on a leash cause he is a minature schnauzer and sometimes he does what he wants to and doesn't pay attention to me. Lol
There are hundreds of stories about superstitious mountains if you go on RUclips and look up superstitious mountains the guy on there that has a RUclips channel that's dedicated to telling all the stories that are attached to the superstitious mountain it's an awesome channel I do enjoy listening to the stories.... Im getting around to watching all of your videos while Im stuck overseas, so I know these are old video comments but do you carry snake bite first aid with you on your hikes?
Luckily, you didn’t read all about the deaths, missing people, etc., in the Superstition Mountains before you went on your hike. It’s a really interesting area.
Gila is pronounced with an H sound. HEE la... Just thought you should know that. I love the Gila Wilderness. I've spent a lot of time there. Be sure to visit the Catwalk near Glenwood, NM.
@@bobpeg7457 You are correct. It is a very narrow canyon where you can find several falls as the San Francisco river flows down and changes elevation rapidly. Because of the narrow canyon they had to build metal walkways through the canyon to get the ore out of the mine. Congratulations on the find.
@@FateUnbound I didn't know if you watch the entire commercial that you guys make more money. I'll do that from now on. I guess I'm clueless to some of these things.
We are not in a National Park. Our campsite is on BLM land and Canyon Lake is in a National Forest. National Forests and National Parks are two very different things.

You took the words right out of my brain, you need to be prepared at all times for anything on the trail.
