Look For The Waymarks - as sung by Jack Marti

- Here is one I've been wanting to record for some time. It doesn't take a genius to figure out where we are in the stream of time, but this song by F. E. Beldon is a good way to reinforce that thought in our minds. Surely, if we were to picture our location on Daniel's metal image, we could easily see ourselves dangling, as it were, from one of the toe nails on the image's iron and clay feet. Truly, our journey must be almost o'er.
Look for the way-marks as you journey on,
Look for the way-marks passing one by one;
Down through the ages, past the kingdoms four-
Where are we standing? Look the way-marks o’er.
Refrain
Look for the way-marks, the great prophetic way-marks,
Down through the ages, past the kingdoms four.
Look for the waymarks, the great prophetic way-marks;
The journey’s almost o’er.
First, the Babylonian kingdom ruled the world,
Then Medo-Persia’s banners were unfurled;
And after Greece held universal sway,
Rome seized the scepter-where are we today? [Refrain]
Down in the feet of iron and of clay,
Weak and divided, soon to pass away;
What will the next great, glorious drama be?
Christ and His coming, and eternity. [Refrain] Видеоклипы
Thanks for the reminder that our journey's almost over❤

Did you write this song? I've not heard it before.
No. It was written by F. E. Beldon, probably in the late 1800s.
