One thing is.. When eating soup we don't sip alittle from spoon and pour soup back in boul from spoon. It's also manners, like kids eat they put it back. And mostly we stick the food with the fork and turn the fork on wrong side when eating, it's nicer, easier and will not fall from the fork. Just small tips. Otherwise it's perfect.

Very informative video. Almost everything was covered perfectly. It would have been completed if you had mention that how or for what purpose to use the other two glasswares. Also the butter knife is only to apply butter and not to cut any bread rolls, Incase if you do so it’s a insult to chef 👨🍳 (coz those are very soft bakery items and we should break into pieces and apply butter, cutting it will say it’s hard.) if I’m not wrong. ☺️

You forgot something sir. When you are at a buffet, you DO NOT take the plate that you have been eating to the buffet to get more food. You keep your cutlery you have been using on the bread plate and wait for the waiter to take your plate away. You go to the buffet and take a fresh plate. Because you cannot use the serving spoons that are in the dishes to put food on a soiled plate. You can touch your soiled plate with the serving spoons while you are serving yourself. There are others using those spoons to serve themselves. Yuk!!!! “Appiriyai.” When a buffet is served the waiters should constantly go round the tables to see whether there are plates to be collected. They shouldn’t keep the diners waiting to get their second serve. The soup spoon is always used with a forward motion away from the body. Not only to scoop out the last bit at the end. Most of us are used to our local tradition which is eating by plain hands. So what’s meant here as “Suddek” means a foreign person. Most of the locals aren’t aware of the proper international dining standards. So here’s a great video teaching from step by step, the proper international and globally accepted table etiquettes. @@fazytube7154 I'm not saying your wrong that doesn't mean I'm saying your right either let me tell you if you wanna eat like a foreigner then what you should do is enjoy the food with the way you can the way how it comfortable I have a foreign family I'm living my life they eat by hand if its comfortable if they have to then again they use cutleries fork or spoon anything if they have to its all about comfortable and how you can enjoy your food Il go anywhere it doesn't matter whether it's luxury hotel or what ever if I feel like want to eat by hand I will if that's what comforts me. What I'm trying to say is i know there is a set up of cutleries ya I know all those. But our people what they do is put unwanted pressure on them self when they go to eat or there is a set up I don't how to do that and this and all I'm saying it shouldn't have to be like that you must enjoy your meal that s what like you mentioned if its foreigners that's what they do they enjoy the meal to the highest level there are no standards it's all about comfort. It won't be a big issue.In Sri Lanka we can see lot of hotels and restaurants out of colombo provide Spoon insted of Knife or Folk.

European = continental.
Continental is widely considered as the standard and American is exists primarily in Northern America. You can always go with continental anytime anywhere.
In continental way of eating - you would hold your knife in your right and fork in your left. And eat the same way.
In American way of eating - you hold the knife in your tight and fork in your left. Once you cut your meat you’d place the knife on the plate, and change the fork to your right hand and eat. This method also called as zigzag eating
