I have just discovered you and immediately subscribed. I do not have the words to tell you how exceptional this video is. What a beautiful part of the world.
Thankyou so much for your videos, such skilled, thoughtful photography of a beautiful country, Spain, I am falling in love with! ❤ I live in New Zealand, am older (72!) and probably won't get to Europe, let alone access the places you get to with youth on your side!🤗 Gratius, Gratius, Gratius XxxxEllen
Amazing cinematography. One can only imagine the time it takes to stop, install the tripod, frame the shot, cycle back, cycle in front of the camera, stop, repack the camera and the tripod. Rinse, Repeat…..All this for a 5 seconds shot. The same goes for drone shots. Hats off!
Guys, these 18 minutes just FLEW by! I was stoked to see you released a new video, having done most of the same route you did in the beginning of 2020 I miss Spain (specially Asturias) deeply! I hope you guys had a great time in the mountains as well as with our WarmShowers hosts Diego and Sara
Next Friday the second episode will be up! Thanks a lot for the enthusiasm, really appreciate that after the hard work this took! Next ones will probably be longer than 18 minutes ;) And... Asturias won our hearts!
@@tristanbogaard Aweaome! It's a sweet spot in the world for SURE! I will make sure to hit your channel as soon as I get the notification! Can't wait! All the best to you and Bellen!
Good day to you! I am a senior rider on HONDA motorcycle from Japan. I am enjoying camping ,touring and upload video. Your cycling video is so nice! Awesome! Full supported ! Have a nice day my friend!
Wow..awesome video. So glad I found you channel. The hike-a-bike up the single track brought back good/bad memories of doing the same farther south in the parque Sierras de Cazorla, Segura and the Villas. Thanks much!!
I know right, that path was insane! Belén is quite the route chooser :) Thanks a lot for the feedback and... you should totally go cycle northern Spain.
Very nice footage. I'd like to see some maps, locations and riding figures discussed more throughout to help give some context to the scenery. Like "this is where we rode today, 90km, 1200vm, in 8hrs". I love seeing progress on a map. Great stuff though
That’s what we use Komoot for, so the video footage isn’t so filled with info. Feel free to take a look at our profiles through the description links 👍🏼
Thanks! Not sure which tires we used at the time, but nowadays I swear by my Schwalbe Hans Dampf 2.3” tires. Can recommend those if your main terrain preference is off-road!
That’s the beauty of it; I left little signs in the video so you can figure our where the route is. But generally, Senda del oso out of Oviedo, into Somiedo through a nice campsite, and out of the national park to find the Senda del oso again.
Hello guys! your videos are great! Maybe we can share a route in my lands in Aragon when I return ro my city. I wish you good luck on your routes through Spain guys! Enjoy!
Another epic ride. Really enjoyed watching it. Have you made this one available on Komoot as well? Inspired by your video, I’m thinking of riding this part of Spain later this year. Thanks!
Thanks Oscar! Yes, the routes of this trip are on Komoot, on Belén’s profile (belletoscan). They’re our first ever published routes on Komoot so do check them for your own personal take ;)
Guys, can i ask you where did you get your bikes? Are there yours? We're going for a 7 days trip in Asturias, but super hard to find gravel bikes, almost imposible. Anyway, your videos are super cool ! :)
Hey Fab, yep! These are our bikes but if you can’t get your hands on a gravel bike you might be able to rent one locally and just bring your bikepacking bags along with you. Perhaps Decathlon stocks their Riverside touring bike where you’re located? That’s a really solid gravel bike for a good price. Otherwise, maybe try second hand? In the Netherlands that works like a charm.
Your video skills are amasing! what program do you use to edit your videos? or what (free) program would you (or anyone else out there) recommend? I'm a novice, never done videos before, but I would like to make some of the bicycle tours I have done last year...
You should totally give it a go! Depending on your operating system you can start out with either Windows Movie Maker or iMovie. I’ve heard both are great for starters. I’d personally recommend Final Cut Pro as I use it, and it’s a one-time payment (not each year like Adobe).
Like B said, we love it! All drone shots in this video were taken with it. And the best thing is, it fits in that fanny pack I’m carrying throughout the video!
I'll cycle up the road, leave the camera, come all the way back . Then we'll ride past it and then retrieve it. Believe me, it will fool the viewers and we won't look at all stupid.
How can you go to Spain and complain about the food. If your diet is that sensitive don't make videos about the local cuisine. It's like going to Mexico and not trying Tequila because you like Peppermint Schnapps. Nice route though.
Nuance is always a little far out on the internet, is it? I’ve since stopped including dialogue since emotions can really blur the lines of what’s being described. Spanish food is wonderful, but traditional habits make it not so vegan friendly. There’s a lot of traditional dishes that can be made vegan really easily.
We are back!!!!!
Hi
Got to say that these are some of the best cycling travelogues I've watched, keep it up , I envy your spirit and commitment to what you do.
I’m flattered! And happy to tell you there’s a first episode of a new series coming this week.
I have just discovered you and immediately subscribed. I do not have the words to tell you how exceptional this video is. What a beautiful part of the world.
Beautiful filming, next level bikepacking cinematography! Also excellent choice of music.

A beautifully shot film (the sea of cloud was enchanting). I look forward to seeing the rest of the series.
Beautiful video, music and scenery. A big congratulations. I love the nature sounds and shots and the perfect accompanying relaxing music.
I´m glad to see your videos again!! tanks so much!
Looking at your videos makes my travel itch
Woh!!! What a wonderful image that of the clouds stuck behind the mountains!!! Good job guys!!! Loved it!!!
Thanks Horacio 😌 It’s been quite job, I’m very happy you like it! Next episode on Friday!
Hats off!
It's all worth it for the results and the understanding of those who watch them. Thank you for pointing that out! Also, new ones on the way!
Haha Was just thinking about you guys the other day, hoping you can still get out and cycle and make videos, and here you are !
Here to save the day ;) Can't wait to show the others, they're in the pipeline. One a week!
I like the hiking stuff from Kraig Adams but i'm a bikeperson. Your videos show me the best of both worlds. 👍
Thank you! I did decide to put in some explaining here and there, since it’s sometimes crucial to a route or just good to know.
Wow, you two really managed to capture the beauty of N. Spain. And the guitar duet in the last half was so perfect and relaxing.
Wow, loved that switchback drone shot in the beginning. Well done!
Thanks, Annalisa 😌
Lovely work 👌 Northern Spain would probably be my No 1 destination to return to.
As it should be! What a surprisingly beautiful place.
We're very happy you've back again.
We're getting the gift.
👍👍👏👏
The scenery fresh my eyes ❤
Wow! My favorite couple on this planet are back with new bicycle tour adventures Yayyyyyyy 😍😍😍.
Here to serve ;) Another episode coming soon!

Very nice vlog ! thanks !
Beautifully shot video as usual. I was supposed to cycle northern Spain this year with my wife. Hopefully next year.
It’s tricky now, one definitely has to weight the many risks. But it was worth it for us. Hope you’ll enjoy these episodes in the meantime.
Great images. Congrats!

Mooie man ! Greetz from Rotterdam
pushing ur bikes up the mountain trails seems very tough.
Nice one, guys! Beautiful drone shots :)
Amazeballs.
Hi great content, what month were you there
Beautiful, calm video. You make northern Spain look so enticing. What width tyres are you both using?
Thanks! Not sure which tires we used at the time, but nowadays I swear by my Schwalbe Hans Dampf 2.3” tires. Can recommend those if your main terrain preference is off-road!
nice set-up! may i ask which front rack are you using?
Absolutely! That’s the Specialized Pizza Rack, supports up to 15kg and I tested it to its limits... yet it held up. I’m a fan now!
Muy bueno el vídeo y los paisajes del recorrido...por donde subisteis,o sea cuál es el trazado de la ruta?

Hello
Great video
Where can I find the route?
Thank you
Thanks! You can find the route on Belén’s Komoot profile: belletoscan
What stove and fuel were you using?
That was probably the MSR Whisperlite and gasoline. Have long switched from that to cleaner gas canisters and a gas stove (no more soot!)
Nice! I moved to Oviedo last year and spent a lot of it in lockdown! What route was the dirt track?
That’s way in the mountains by Somiedo natural park.
What kind of lenses do you use with the Olympus?
Have been using the M.Zuiko Pro 12-40mm lens for a while now and am absolutely loving it!
Beautiful images!
Were is exactly the place where the cloud are?
I want to go there :)
On a mountain pass from Castilla y Léon into Asturias!

Nice video. The only issue I have is when you guys took so many hiking trails with the heavy bikes. Not a smart move.
Nice trip, guys! We miss being on the road while in exile in Thailand... And hey, going vegan is not a stretch, just a decision! 😉🤗✌️🌱💚
