    Nicely put together! Informative video and love the personal, up-close intimate look at the local wildlife. Love that! I agree with others here, we need more of this kind of content. Felt like I was walking along the trail and seeing it myself. Good job!

    This reminds me at the series of ponds we had a bit outside of our village. It was like a dense rain forest compared to the surrounding commercial timberland. These ponds were build illegally illegally during first World War and where since completely captured back by nature and wildlife. One sad day I arrived a the ponds to find large excavator tracks in the ground and the dam of the ponds destroyed. After my dad did a series of phone calls to the water authority for our district, they told him these ponds had to be destroyed because the were constructed illegally back around 1915... but they admit that they never came out to the location to assess its current status :(

    Refreshing change. Half of my "recommendations" lately have been guys tearing out dams. I always wonder if they come back the next day and tear it out again when it's been rebuilt twice as strong. And so on.

      Had a group of ppl kill all the beavers in a pond dam. Then, the water in pond got so low that they asked fish and game to put back beavers, but f&g said no.

    Love your “The Log” videos. I’ve been looking for them for a while. I seen two last year and couldn’t find any more.
    Where in the country are you approximately 😉
    I love running trailcams all year!! I’ve had my cards stolen and last year for the first time ever had a camera taken. (On private property)
    Any tips as to not have that happen again? I’ve set up more cameras to at least catch the s.o.b. That’s trust passing 😤

      sorry to hear about the thefts. I'm in Nova Scotia - we have 2 legged vermin here too that like to take cams. I try & place them as far off trail/road as I can AND in areas that are not frequented by humans. Its not easy. Best of luck.

    I have a few questions:
    What trail cam did you use?
    How often did you go to it to change the SD card?
    How often do you change the batteries?
    Did you have it in video mode only or did you use hybrid mode?

    • @seeyououtdoors6269
      @seeyououtdoors6269  4 года назад +7

      I use many different brands - this location, I used Stealth G42.
      swapped out the sd card once.
      change batteries every 12 - 16 months. I use lithiums.
      had the cam in video mode only.
