i didn’t cry when mufasa died, i didn’t cry when iron man died, i don’t cry when bambi’s mom died, but goddamn when springstein and his father were playing football with each other i cried like a baby. this channel has evolved from slapstick satire comedy to legitimate cinematic masterpieces, and it shows how much you’ve evolved over the years. you sir, are easily the best football youtuber and one of the best you tubers ik of right now.

@Lucas Darnley honestly. We’d be amazing if we had last year’s defense with this years offense.
Hail Mary’s aren’t really indicative on how a defense plays entirely, although I agree they should know to bat the ball down. Remember how the defense bailed out Buffalo’s offense against the Chargers otherwise they would’ve lost :)

@@ducks1073 The reason our defense isn't the same, is because we're a throw first offense now. Meaning our opponents has a hell of a lot more time to play the game they want to play. We're used to being a run first team, meaning our team was killing clock like crazy. We don't need to fix our defense, we need our run game going, so we can start chucking some clock when we're up big

@@englandismycity1617 I can imagine. One good thing about never being promising to begin with is that you don't really get these games. We probably haven't had one since about 2005 at this point.
@@politicallycorrectredskin796 it's like people can handle blowout loses if you play a better team than you but when you get blown out by a team that you were supposed to beat especially when their star players aren't playing makes the loss even worse. Especially in out position because we are in the wildcard race.

Ok, Tom calls the Giants and the Jets, the New Jersey Giants and the New Jersey Jets because Met Life Stadium (where both of the teams play their games) is in New Jersey. Bruce is the Giants, Springsteen is the Jets. Bruce Springsteen is from New Jersey.
I didn’t realize this because I’m a dumbass and have no idea who Bruce Springsteen is. Last night on the radio they were talking about him and I’m like did Tom name Bruce and Springsteen after him. I had no clue

If you look closely, you can see the spliced lines in the footage, and you see them flip when one person catches the ball. But I agree, this is quite entertaining.

The catch scene was beautiful and all, but what did it for me was the opening where spreengsteen said he’d wait to wear the jersey until the dad came back.
There are very few things that I would consider a masterpiece. Why an I calling this a masterpiece? Because I am emotionally connected to this story and to each of these characters. Dang it, Tom! YOU GOT ME TEARING UP AT THE END! 😢😢❤️

Wow. The story behind this whole series is so incredible. You've said on streams you just come up with most of the ideas the day of, and honestly, that just makes it more impressive. You put out so much content for us fans, and it's all so good. I really respect the fact that you put in the work to make this channel grow. Lots of people nowadays can just get successful by doing whatever's popular and getting lucky, but you just keep putting in the work day after day and I think that's what makes you the best content creator on youtube, in my humble opinion.

Just watched the video, it’s the best one in the series yet. This is seriously better than most shows on TV.
The editing was flawless and it shows how much you have grown. I am really impressed and this series gives nfl a whole new reason to be. Keep up the amazing work and remember the destination may be worth in the end but the journey there is what makes a lifetime.

It’s so hilarious you want to bust out laughing but at the same time the characters are so genuine in their moments of their “father-son” relationships that you can’t laugh cause you’d just feel dirty for laughing even though you know it’s totally outrageously funny and there’s nothing wrong about that yet you can’t because it’s just so real. That scene of Springsteen and dad playing catch. The cut to that scene was hilarious and you want to burst out laughing immediately, like “that was his favor, to play catch? Lulz.” but then you remember what a dad and his son playing catch symbolizes in not only popular media, but what it symbolizes in our culture, how it’s supposed to be a heartfelt moment signifying bonding, and fatherly love. And you realize what a jerk you are for wanting to laugh as the reality of how sad the situation is sets in, all the times that Springsteen never get to play catch with his dad while they were both alive, hence why he asked as his final favor. But yet it’s hysterically funny....
Tom, you’ve managed to pull what most writers can never pull, and what western media in general is completely incapable of doing in the modern day. You’ve created a world that completely envelops the viewer, taking them out of reality for only a brief moment and transporting them as an unseen spectator to some other place.
For me, that scene of the two playing catch is right up there with Jean Pierre Polnareff’s battle with Vanilla ice as his arc completes itself as he puts his life out there for the team in Stardust Crusaders, and also with Bucciarati’s death. I’d rather watch this than anything on TV, Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, whatever.
As a dolphins fan engaged to an eagles fan this series has been everything. But now we are both so sad. I’ve never in my life rooted harder for the Jets. Thank you Tom “I made everyone cry over an imaginary Jets fan” Grossi
11:53 I just realized how relatable Carl is for me. While unlike Carl i can be empathetic to some extent, he and i both tend to replace our sadness with the rage of a thousand suns, but even we have our breaking point, where the tears take over, even if it means tsunamis from both eyes (Though I'm not like that because of being manly or feeling like it's wrong to cry. It's just who i am).
Everyone's hoping so badly for Springsteen to wake up, but honestly if Joe/Dolphins dad really did get taken instead, I'll be just as sad for him. Either way, this family and the division won't be the same.

I don't understand how Tom makes these so quickly. Assuming he started after the last team in the east played (Monday) he would've had to write, film, and edit a 13+ minute video in a day. Unless Tom just doesn't need sleep this will never cease to amaze me.
