Quick tip for dodging the twin axes blinkbolt. Its easier to avoid if you dodge into the attack rather than backwards because if you did it backwards youd still be taking the damage
As a fellow quality lover(even though elden ring hates us), I learned how to use the black bow back in the RoB meta, because that was the only counter I could find on my awful wifi, and even though that nightmare is over, I still love pulling out my fancy new DLC bow and killing people, the arrow soaring sting talisman definitely improved the viability of Bow only PVP, giving a much needed damage boost.
I sunbro for Maliketh a lot. The wing stance r2 jumps over gurranq’s aoe shockwaves and maliketh’s spin to win. Milady isn’t “the most op weapon ever”, but the style points are off the charts.
Personally I always found the Bone Bow was more than adequate for dealing with spell spammers especially with status build up arrows. I know it got nerfed recently but they still back the fuck off when you pepper them with homing poison or bleed arrows.
Waiting for the string to be a shop item before using drawstring is the most Saint-thing I've heard this month. Quite a far cry from the typical 5 rows of stormhawk axe in a lot of people's builds. Can't fake honesty (this sounds dumb af but I'm committed now leave me alone).
I swear I didn't see no damn signs anywhere in the Keep, and I swiped that place clean (it felt like it). Not gonna look them up either, gonna find them on other characters. No problem.
Saint Riot makes me want to pvp again. I’ve had 4 playthroughs since the DLC came out, and every time I watch a Saint video I want to make another dedicated to pvp
It’s something that there really isn’t a good rule of thumb for. Obviously if you’re not planning on two handing, run them up evenly, but depending on what weapon you’re running and what stat investment you want, sometimes running strength a little higher to get a better overall 2h buff can edge out the same SL build where you have Dex higher and use the 2h buff to get strength up to par.
I only know who Scruff Mcgruff is because of the Ultimate Showdown and the fact that I haven't heard of him otherwise is not because I'm young but rather I'm not a filthy American Damn I'm jealous of seppo's connection in PvP though
it's ok either, the only difference is that dex scaling in lighting infusion is weaker compared to keen, so watever choice you pick depends if the enemy you're fighting is resistant to lightning or not
Dex infusion does physical damage and counter attack buffs only apply to physical thrust so I run keen so I can get my pokes going strong. And u can buff it 😊
I know you weren't complaining about bow spam while using a two-bow build. Think about it, what other ranged weapon is more honest? Crossbows can be used one handed because they're for peasants, most long ranged incants are just for harassing you until you get close then they use a nuke, sorceries are sorceries, and then ranged ash of war spam which I think is the worst just from how easy it is. At least with bows you have to use both hands so no casting, and then you're actually using a limited resource, at least while in combat. Oh, wait the actual worst is stamina consuming projectiles like the ice thrusting swords heavy or... No how could I forget THAT SHIELD!

FromSoft made sure to make all magic/incant/shields unusable in PVP because Jeni9ne type players felt threatened that magic and shields were actually viable for the first time in 10 years. They got used to instakill everything that moves with R1 in DS3 so it was quite a shock to them seeing SPELLS THAT COULD ACTUALLY HIT YOU AT RANGE?? WHAAAAAT???? SHIELDS THAT COULD..... BLOCK....... YOUR HITS and not get stancebroken instantly??????????????????????? WTF IS POISE I WANNA STUNLOCK EVERYTHING TO DEATH! Main issue with this is that in gank situations you cannot dodge into people without getting hit by other people in the party.

I default to sword and shield so for me the two hand bonus doesn't come up much.
54 STR, 56 DEX. I usually two-hand so this is the sweetspot.
