  • Where to go in Hebron, Palestine? Visiting Hebron, Palestine in the West Bank is a great chance to experience the daily life and Palestinian culture.
Hebron/Khalil is the largest city in the West-Bank, located south of Jerusalem (30 km) and features two universities - the Hebron University and Polytechnic University. Khalil is one of the oldest and continuously inhabited cities of Palestine and known for its famous historic sites, including the tomb of Abraham, The Russian Orthodox Church, and Abraham’s Oak Holy Trinity Monastery.
Hebron, Palestine is a holy city
These sites make Khalil one of the holiest places for all three world religions - Islam, Judaism, and Christianity - and particularly appealing for Israeli settlers who have taken over half of the city. For this reason, you will also be able to get your personal impression of Palestinian-Israeli relations.
    Brief History of Hebron Palestine
In its early history, Hebron was under Byzantine rule, after which it fell prey to the crusaders. In succession, the Ayyubids, Mamelukes, Ottoman Empire, and an Egyptian General, all laid claim on Hebron. In recent history, Khalil was occupied by the British forces, by the Jordanian kingdom and finally came under Israeli occupation. It is now divided into H1 (Palestinian Authority) and H2 (Israeli Authority).
In this video, you will find plenty of places to visit during your stay in Palestine. Come to visit Hebron!

The name of this city is Al-Khalil. Not Hebron. Hebron was an old Biblical city, which was located near the present-day Palestinian city of Al-Khalil.

Hebron is an ancient Jewish town long before a single arab ever stepped foot in Judea. There is no such thing as "palestine". It called Israel, the aboriginal land of the only indigenous people; the Jews.

@@Lagolop The city of Al-Khalil is clearly an Arab city, established and developed by the many generations of Palestinian Arabs. Most likely near the ruins of the Biblical Hebron, but not really the same city.
Arabs have been living in the region for centuries. The Arab presence in the region is even older than the appearance of Islam (7th century A.D.). Apparently some people have never heard about Nabateans, for example. Arab tribes arrived at the region of Palestine and mixed with people already living there, giving origin to Levantine Arabs. Palestinians are desde of them. And thus indigenous to the region. Unlike Israelis, who are mostly descendants of Zionist immigrants that arrived at Palestine since the late 19th century. Not even the Zionist ideology and political movement is original from Palestine.
There is no such thing as political continuity after centuries of absence. Besides, there is no genetic connection between present day Israelis and Old Biblical Israelites. No genetics test is able to trace genes from 2000 or 3000 years ago. Only genes up to 200 years ago can be traced, and with great difficulty. Religion, ethnicity and nationality are three completely different things. Judaism is just a religion like many others (Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Baha’i, etc.). It's not an ethnicity nor a nationality. Judaism is practiced around the world by people with very different ethnic backgrounds and nationatilities.
The existence and legitimacy of the Palestinian nation has already been recognized by the UN and the international community. Not only the United Nations, but also the majority of the countries worldwide, have already recognized the totality of the West Bank, Al-Quds/East Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip as Palestinian territories. Where a totally sovereign and independent Palestinian State should be established. Being one of the inalienable rights of the Palestinian nation.
The Israeli military and civilian presence in the Palestinian West Bank and Al-Quds/East Jerusalem constitutes a complete violation of International Law and the Fourth Geneva Convention resolutions (Article 49). As pointed of by multiple UN resolutions.
Territories belong to nations, not to religious groups. International legislation is secular, and religious texts (such as the Bible) have no relevance whatsoever. The Bible is not a property title, and God is not a real estate agent.

Can you tell me the name of your grandfather?? or your father’s name at least?. Palestine did exist since thousands of years since the arrival of the Cannaanites to this land, Palestine name was mentioned To be -Palestine-Syrian during the roman period, Many zionist leaders mentioned the existence of Palestinians in this land,Belfore declaration mentioned in his book giving the Jewish people a land over the Palestinians lands, the British mandate over Palestine was named British Mandate for Palestine. Am not here to prove what we have to call this region or area cause this is not the core, What matters is the immediate human rights violation Israel is committing against the Palestinians, the daily killing of the civilians and stopping the continual building of the apartheid wall and the list goes on. Calling or forcing people to go and live somewhere in order to keep a place homogeny or populated by certain nationality reminds me of the Nazists.
