Aney, great video! I struggle with everything you mentioned and my biggest problem is patience. I am working on a piece now where I am hand burning a dark background and let's say it is becoming a good test of patience! God Bless!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks Paul!!
I wish I had watched this years ago when I was so fearful of mistakes as being permanently damaging to my piece! I made each burn while holding my breath. We didn’t have internet . Self taught strictly meant SELF taught. No one that I knew worked with pyrography so I had no one from which to learn. Thk God for internet n the ppl who share these tutorials. I have watched many of yours n I ALWAYS,ALWAYS come away with a less intimidating n more peaceful experience . Art is a lot of where my peace comes from but I stressed with this medium for a long time. I stopped on ur site bc I saw Pratteville mentioned. I have a red headed stepchild there n I always enjoyed cruising the town there during visits. In a nostalgic sort of way. 🙂
I’m so glad it was helpful!!
I am a true beginner and am loving all your videos. Question: you mentioned in an older video that you burn on thin wood sheets and then frame them. Could you do a video on this? Also, what size wood do you normally get if you ARE planning to frame it? TIA
Thank you for the great tips , Wood burning is so soothing on the head after a hard day , Appreciate the time you take …. Have a great day 👍🇨🇦
