Vibes are actually a part of most long time journalers and planner creators process! You're doing wonderfully so far. As you go along you'll probably find that some of the layouts preprinted in the planner may work for you or you might wish to modify them. Using stickers (sometimes to create specific reminders for certain tasks) or washi tape (covering up mistakes or writing on top of the tape is handy) , or even creating your own planner elements (habit or mood trackers or just different layout or placements of things) might be helpful. It's meant to be a tool so however is most comfortable for you to use it is the correct way. There is no set guidelines, only what you feel works best. Happy planning
@sweetnotes Thank you for the reply ❤️ Compared to regular journaling, planning has a structure to it and it intimidates me, so I wasn’t sure if going purely on feelings like journaling would be ok for a planning habit, thank you for the reassurance that it’s ok! And noting down the suggestions of how I can go about planning 📝
I use a planner, but it's more a personal planner not like a youtube one so I'm not sure well my experience will translate! I mostly use it to record what plans/outings/events I have planned. Since I know exactly what I want/need in a planner, i design it myself in a blank notebook. I include a 1) daily mood tracker 2) monthly calendar spread and 3) hobby tracker. My monthly pages look similar to the one in the planner you got. I put a "to-do" list in the empty left space (I mostly use it to track any online orders I made and their est. arrival dates lol). I do basic decorating around the margins/holidays and will add stickers/stamps to commemorate things after the day has passed (usually from an event I went to or I got a free sticker from the drs office lol). Daily to do lists dont work well for me at all so unfortunately dont have any tips for the weekly pages. Use this as an experiment to see what types of pages are most helpful/useful for you! There's no 'wrong' way to do it, and as you use one you'll find what works better for you! It took me a while to get to the point where i am now, slowly modifying each year what i include and how i use it! Experimenting with pages is all part of the process 😊
Ooh making your own pages, kind of like bullet journaling? I only need basic pages for now, it sounds fun though! Thank you for sharing, especially about commemoration after the day has passed, taking note of that ❤️ I’ve never touched a planner my whole life lol, I started RUclips to give myself a sense of routine, but as it goes on the routine needs routine and I have to plan 😂 hopefully I’d figure out and perfect a planning system as you have!
i’d like to know what’s in your hobby tracker! i too am finding more freedom using a blank notebook, though it would also be nice for the monthly overview and habit tracker to be already laid out for me

If you’re referring to the sheet stickers used, they’re from Daiso, as for the dot sticker roll I bought it at a local stationery store, the brand is Sun Star 🥰
