The actual reveal trailer will have two kids giving their parents a presentation about why they need a switch 2. It will be a 30 minute long commercial where the kids read specs they don't understand at all, but it will still end with the father saying 'Yeah, look like I've been upgraded, BAOWR!'

I didn't mind the silence, as it is a nice option for those that want it, but where they really dropped the ball is system themes. Arlo - I just recently discovered you and I’d like to say you make excellent content and the rate at which you post is incredibly generous. I think I speak for most people on this channel when I say we really appreciate what you do. Glad to have stumbled upon your channels!
I totally feel you. That's why it baffles me that there are supposed to be no games announced in that reveal presentation/trailer. We already know how a hybrid system works, we know how Switch 2 will look, how powerful it will be and some other specs, etc. It's just a more powerful Switch with some extra bells and whistles. So the big hype factor and selling point for it are the games. If they really don't announce any new games, it'll be a bit disappointing ngl, because nothing will have changed, other than us seeing some official images of the console we've already kinda seen.
Think they're worried about another WiiU situation where there is confusion about if it's a new console. By doing hardware first, they can set a clearer tone. That's my guess at least.
Nate and the rest never said no games, just games aren’t the focus. My bet its its exactly like the switch 1 trailer basically, teasing clips of games that are expanded on later on in the reveal cycle
I honestly think it'll just be Switch 1 reveal cycle over again. If launch is supposed to be in June and reveal is supposed to be this Thursday, then the timeline lines up almost exactly. Reveal the hardware, show off a couple new games without titles, let it sit for a couple months, do a big blowout presentation with full deep dive into the hardware and what it can do, let it sit a couple months, launch. Worked for em then, so why wouldn't it now?
@@__4762 Because the Switch was something completely revolutionary back in 2016, an iterative hardware alone will not generate much hype cause we already know how it looks and what it does. It's the games that will be a major factor for the success of the Switch 2.
This is Nintendo. We expect them to do another Direct-style video reveal, so they won't do it. This time, they'll actually send two guys in suits from door to door, Jehova's Witnesses style, just like in the add for the Wii. When your doorbell rings, they'll hand you the hardware, let you play for 20 minutes, and then it's your neighbor's turn. Before they leave, they'll hand you a flyer with the launch lineup, and that's it.
He takes out a camera accessory and plugs it in to the switch 2, the camera takes a sweeping photo of the area around him and recreates a localized 3D scan of the room- 3D scanned images pop up in the Photo album and later he plugs his projector back into the C slot- the 3D photo is projected against the wall
You just see an old Japanese man walk up to a podium, toss the Switch 2 on top and stare intensely at the camera for 10 seconds. A slight grimace appears then a quick little trailer for the system. Trailer ends. back to the old guy still staring at the camera, gives little glance towards the system and walks away from the podium while adjusting their tie.
the idea of the second USB on top allowing for a camera attachment (etc) would be an awesome way to have gimmicks that arent included in the base console
At the beginning, you said “im recording this…” with a switch video in the background and it made me brain process it as you saying “im recording this on a Nintendo Switch” 😭😭
That being said, I do really want them to make the Switch 2 a huge improvement over the Switch - not just in terms of hardware, but software too. It's been so long since the OG Switch came out, they've had a LOT of time to get feedback, fix problems, expand and polish the system, the UI, etc.
The switch 1’s reveal trailer really showed all of the most important launch year first party titles, it had shots of BotW, MK8D, Odyssey, and Splatoon 2, which were definitely the big ones. This time the only title we know about and have seen direct gameplay of is Prime 4 which I’d say isn’t up there with the other 4, so *all* of their real major 1st party titles would be completely new reveals which might be why they’re not doing that this time and instead opt to save that for a dedicated software showcase.
I definitely feel like it's going to be a more straightforward showing. Really cut and dry tech specs talk with maybe a game announcement or comparison to push some excitement on its capabilities. Remember, they don't have to sell us on the concept of the switch, they have to sell us on a switch upgrade.
“With the Nintendo Switch 2, all games will now have a Funky Mode thanks to our new Funky Kong Injection™ technology, which automatically injects Funky Kong into any active game.“
*Fans:* "FINALLY! THEY'RE GOING TO REVEAL THE NEXT CONSOLE!" *Nintendo on Thursday:* We present to you our new and latest console... Nintendo Switch Lite OLED!!!
Here’s the scene. Dark room. Spotlight in the centre. From the darkness the Switch 2 is chucked into the spotlight, the dock soon follows. A frustrated Japanese man is heard in the distance “There it is! Now shut up!” Switch 2 sells 10 billion units, Nintendo buys planet Earth, world peace for all.
the reveal is that I, specifically, am invited to the rooftop 1,2 Switch party. and cool people (just kidding, I can't wait to laugh when nothing happens this week)
Arlo, you've got it all wrong. What's really gonna happen is they're gonna bring out the guy who announced Splatoon 2 onto a stage and in full chested Engrish he'll declare "inturodushing! Nintendo Suichi... TSU!" And he'll strike the 2 pose like he did almost a decade ago. And then close curtains. Thag is all.
The problem is the trailer isn't just for us gamers. It has to be able to communicate everything to someone who has just been thawed out of a block of ice clearly. It being more in line with the Switch they're going to want to avoid a WiiU situation again where those who weren't already in the know just thought it was an add-on for the Wii.
I’m prepared to be wrong, but I’ve seen Arlo say, “What could they even…do?!” in support of the obvious answer only for us to be completely blindsided with something completely unprecedented to not suddenly have my alarm bells start ringing
People think the reveal will be pretty bare bones, but I feel like they gotta show some games. What else do we have to look forward to besides Xenoblade Chronicles X, Metroid Prime 4, and Pokemon Legends? We definitely need some games for this reveal
You just said it. Show metrpid prime 4 and pokemon legends as cross gen titles (or just new gen they dont need to be switch games) then show some improved switch games. There you go, decent reveal. But i agree, it would be nice if they showed, say, mario galaxy 3.
@continental_consumer I doubt it. For one, they do need to release on og switch since that is what was in their reveal trailers and they should stay true to their word on that. Especially for prime 4 which was announced at the start of the switch generation and likely caused at least some people to buy it specifically for that. Plus, since it's backwards compatible, there isn't much of a need to make them cross-gen. Also pokemon is it's own thing so they will likely be waiting for a pokemon presents to show anything instead of doing it in a Nintendo showcase. Pokemon also tends to release one more game/set of games on the old console before making them for the new one. It'd be cool if they had better versions on switch 2, but it doesn't seem very likely to me.
If the Switch 2 really is just a more powerful Switch and that's all...then to be an effective reveal, I feel they'll need to reveal some of the launch or early lineup to demonstrate that selling point. While hinting at a new big Mario or Zelda game will ALWAYS be hype, we need points of reference for comparison if the goal is to sell the Switch 2's performance. For example, show how Metroid Prime 4, if cross-gen, has these major graphical and performance boosts on Switch 2 than base Switch. Or show how big games we are already familiar with, like BotW/TotK, get impressive boosts if played on Switch 2. A reveal that performance boosts would be available for most major first party Switch games would be HUGE, especially if the upgrade is cheap or free. Show PS4-caliber graphically intensive third party games, like Red Dead Redemption 2 or Elden Ring, running uncompromised both portably and docked. Since its Nintendo, though, I doubt thats what we are going to get, haha. They'll find some other angle to make us want it. And besides, even if its not an effective reveal, this thing will sell like hotcake.
Take the steam deck, make it lighter and thinner, remove trackpads since this isnt a pc, make the screen 8 inch 1080p, give it joycons, add the switch home menu (but with modern improvements), make the docking wireless, and finally, have some kick ass games.
You heard first from me. - No new game will be shown. Few selected Switch games with improved visuals. - UI will be shown. - C button functionality will be shown. It is community button. When you push it you see your friends, and you see your own stats for the games you played. - They will say to tune in for Softwares for later date.
That would be a terrible move if they only show backward compatible games. People aren’t going to see anything new and not be interested. They have to show off new games and at least a NS1 game such a ToTK.
I think the reveal trailer will heavily rely on the seamless switching between docked, handheld, and VR. It begins similar to the original, the guy leaves the sofa, grabs the Switch... and puts it in a headset. Zoom in to the screen view, where he is now playing "MyMii; Virtual Friends". 3 other characters enter, they begin interacting, the screen splits in four, zoom out to the four players of different genders and ethnicities in their respective homes. Transition to later, when one of them gets interupted by his daughter in the real world, says "See you later", ends the hangout, and removes the headset. Leaves with daughter - Cut to them playing Mario Kart together in handheld mode in the car, mom is driving. They arrive to a get-together, the daughter leaves with her friends to play in docked mode, the parents talk. Cut to later, the four adults are now playing a party-VR-game, which streams to the TV with the kids watching in an engaged way. Someone loses, the kid takes over. Cut to the kid winning. And so on, and something like that (but with more 20-somethings in some way). Do I have a reason to believe it actually has VR-functionality? No. But I would love if Nintendo ended up being the ones to make VR affordable and optionable, and the console being a hybrid handheld/docked/VR would be so cool. One can only dream.
Ngl I think I zoned out after minute 2 and just became engrossed in rewatching the Switch 1 reveal background footage, I couldn't give you a single point you talked about 😭
I'm ready for them to release the *teaser* this thursday, and then the actual trailer would be in autumn and release in december. Just absolutely edged all year
Imagine if it’s a shot for shot remake of the WiiU trailer to start, the big feature here being you can play with the console handheld and stream to the tv as a separate screen. Make the mic be on the console itself, and make the c button a “communication” button, and it might just make sense
0:53 Honestly? Yeah. I haven't been interesred in the Switch 2 rumors due to investment with console - I don't think I'll feel hype over whatever's coming until a game I'm excited for gets announced - but thinking about the hypotheticals and "what ifs" has been fun! I love exploring that kind of thinking
For years have I been laughed at or given funny looks, because when anyone around me utters the phrase “I suppose“, I would be compelled to chant: “ I. Sup-pose. HEY!” At last, I have found one who understands me. At last, there is another visitor to Rhythm Heaven.
Semi-related but one way to show off the Switch 2’s power is with Mario Kart 9, whose gimmick is going to be the ability to warp into other courses mid-race, similar to how Smash Ultimate allowed you to morph one stage to another. Racers enter a portal (whether it’s big or small I don’t know) and it sends them to another course as a short cut or as a trap. The ‘9’ in the logo will resemble like a portal, as memes of Mario characters entering different strange worlds flood the internet. That’s how one can sell a console.
they'll showcase the mouse feature, the "c" button, and the new magnetic holder for the joy cons. I can't imagine there being anything else worth showing if they're not showing software. and to be honest- that's very underwhelming.
The hardware reveal will mainly be for the investors. I feel like it has been revealed by the end of the month otherwise at the next meeting Nintendo will get bombarded with hardware questions. Here is the hardware - with a glimpse of some games in the footage of the switch 2. Then, a little later down the road, we will get a huge blowout reveal of the software. Nintendo could go a different route, but tbh this works out well and makes sense to go the route of how the switch was handled
nah they'll reveal a game, probably but it'll be something along the lines of like, pilot wings resort or nintendo land - nothing major the switch is really the outlier when it comes to big, super impressive launch titles since it had BOTW
It probably won’t be in the reveal trailer but id be shocked if it doesn’t launch with a mainline Mario or Mario Kart game. It’s been 8 years since the last mainline 3D Mario and almost 11 since the last “brand new” Mario kart.
You make a good point that it's likely that they will do something different. But also, Nintendo always delivers on the big things. So there's no way that they won't give us a big blowout that also has surprises. I'm expecting a (nintendo) star studed event, if not as the initial reveal, for a main presentation.
Maybe the trailer will start off showing someone using the Switch 1, then his friend will come over with a Switch 2 showing all of the new features and how it’s better than the old one, in a flashy, but succinct manner, with a catchy tune playing throughout, and we’ll get small glimpses of new games and ports.
I wanted to make a Switch 2 prediction video of my own (ive wanted to try out making youtube videos in general) but I havent had the time So I'll drop it here: I think the C button is for Connect. The Switch 2 will be able to cast the screen- not only to a dock- but to 3 other nearby Switches to allow for couch co-op, no downloads required Imagine you jump into Mario Kart, and press the C button, and everyone with a Switch in a 20 foot radius gets a notification on their home menu that a game of Mario Kart is open for joining. And they can hit that button to hop into a race, no downloads or cartriges required. (would be REALLY COOL with Master Chief Collection, Arlo and I were on the same wavelength in thinking that MCC on Switch 2 might end up being a thing) Anyway, thats my take
It's pretty neat to see the parallels to the rumors: Original: Mario Kart, Zelda (Beloved IP), Skyrim (WOW moment), New Mario, Sports game, Rumored Switch 2: Mario Kart (Rumored), Metroid Prime 4 (Beloved IP), RDR2 at 60fps (Rumored WOW moment), New Mario (Galaxy 3 rumored?).
Arlo, to your camera/AR comment: is it possible that the reason there's a USB-C on top of the Switch 2 is because it's there for accessory add-ons? Like a camera? A la the Game Boy Camera back in the day? What if part of the big reveal is that there are multiple add-ons you can use for the device? Just a thought.
That was my very first thought when I heard there was a usb-c on the top and bottom. My mind jumps to being able to attach a second screen that way, but that feels pretty unrealistic.
@@Porygon2ube You never know, not with all of these 3DS port rumors also going around. Wouldn't say no to it if I got it. My mind is really racing now at the possibilities here. If there was camera functionality, and you slotted it onto the top of the Switch 2, and it worked both in mobile and docked forms...that could mean AR, that could mean video calls or streaming options...could it even potentially have some kind of X-Box Kinect-type functionality? That's probably a stretch, but maybe some added tracking capabilities for using the Joy-Cons, etc. And what other potential USB-C accessories could go on top? What would benefit the Switch 2 to have those kinds of options, potentially in docked mode? The mind boggles. ...suddenly Thursday doesn't seem soon enough.
Part of me thinks it'll be a lot more like a standard Nintendo direct. They start with a trailer showing it off, transition into the console preview that explains it in more depth, and then announce a few games coming out the first couple months of the console then close out
If they lean into the mouse thing, I could see a reveal in a similar style opening with someone playing a game on keyboard and mouse and then taking the switch out of the dock and showing them using the mouse joycon on the go somewhere else at a cafe or something.
If the switch 2 focuses on collaboration We start with two friends walking side by side...laughing and talking before they bring out the switch two They each sit down on the same couch and begin to play next to each other We see the game and how theyre doing split screen Maybe its a new game Maybe its just Splatoon or something Then suddenly it zooms out They were never in the same room Its not split screen Theyre playing and talking with each other in different countries "Switch it up, play together" or something like that Showing a beefed up online and focus on collaboration with other players
I think it will be a tech demo presentation like you described, followed by a quick b roll montage of random people enjoying the new features described.
I think if we don't go into just straight presentation is it will follow that same switch pattern. However instead of focusing on them moving around and then pulling it out (there will still be some of that) instead we will see the switch logo pop up go click then a 2 fades in. Goes black fades in quickly to the main screen of the OS were we will pause and pick apart all the unique things about it later pulls out into living room guy logs into a game and then either talking to the controllers or with what is clearly a wireless headset no phone gets up for some reason maybe in a rush like they are late attaches the joycon leaves. Cuts to someone already having it out at a picnic table or something playing split with a friend we see it from the back before camera spins around behind them which allows us to see the new kick stand and then a sneak peak of some game. One of them maybe uses the C button we keep seeing and we see one function of it or the only function of whatever it is. Then maybe a kid using the system or playing with a family on a TV screen and we see the c button again maybe Mario kart. If there is a camera we will get a cute funny moment of someone either playing a ar game or face recording as they stream or something or video call. We get a couple classic switch moments before it's over.
Here's how I would do it: Dark room, what's on the pedastal, the camera moves up, It's the switch 2, it looks completely different than the leaks, it has a camera on the main console, making it shaped completely different and has a different motherboard than the leaks. The new joycons have built in speakers and other new features and look completely different than the leaks indicated. The whole system is slightly more powerful and price pointed slightly less than the leaks indicated. There is no C button seen anywhere. As part of thepromtional material released with the reveal there is an infographic of the various compatible control schemes, the Switch 1 joycons are labled (c) on it.
I think it depends on what the launch games are as to how they show it off. We really don't know if there is some big new thing they haven't shown off yet. All we know is basically it has a from very similar to the first Switch.
VR set included with most of the launch games integrated in the gameplay would be a new thing, having their first psrties developed with that in mind, but probably won't happen on this generation
I disagree with your hypothesis, Arlo! N has had 7 years to go crazy with design. Expect something very innovative, not just a beefed-up Switch. N has consistently called their new system The successor to Switch, not Switch 2. I expect complete innovation and a DK Adventure game at launch. DK’s presence has been trickling out over the last year or so and the Dk Roller Coaster comes out in Spring! Let’s expect more and push N to create more!
And before Nintendo baits us and the new console is something so completely different, everyone is actually wrong about the "leaks". Its not like nintendo to do the same thing twice, especially for their consoles.
I personally believe for the Switch 2 they're going to focus on the new dock, that USB C on top of the Switch, and the new C Button. Those are gonna be bigger features than most people realize.
I haven't been able to get the casting capability/dual screen mode theory out of my head. That would be a pretty big game changer to me considering Wii U and DS games would be possible to port over. I think that would also really help set the Switch 2 apart from other handheld devices. Here's hoping.
I wonder if one of the key fetures this time is the return of Street Pass and maybe a lot of the features they show off will be for this?? I can hope... I really want street pass back :')
I've been saying this for years, but the Switch's successor might be leaning more into VR. The Switch's experiments were all about the IR sensor: the toycon and Labo, the HD Rumble and Warioware using it to supplement motion controls. Probably not full VR, but we might see more support for it as a feature
I think the focus is going to be on games, particularly how this system supports titles the original Switch never could. If the system doesn't just have backwards compatibility, but improves the framerate of Switch games, then they'll talk about that. They'll also show the mouse function, probably with Metroid or another FPS game. The C button's functionality may also get a spotlight.
I imagine a reveal trailer will tease some new games as well as old games benefiting from the console's increased power, while emphasizing its portability. Gotta show that you're on par with the mobile market, y'know?
I think the reveal trailer will have established Nintendo characters with Switch 1 graphics stepping into a world of Switch 2 graphics. Like Mario in Odyssey leaping into Odyssey 2.
i think they might focus on all the new ways the switch can switch. You can play handheld and on tv as before, but now you can use it like a computer too and maybe some other thing we dont know yet.
The actual reveal trailer will have two kids giving their parents a presentation about why they need a switch 2. It will be a 30 minute long commercial where the kids read specs they don't understand at all, but it will still end with the father saying 'Yeah, look like I've been upgraded, BAOWR!'

Certainly not in America lol
Wii would like 2 Switch with U.
Last chance for everyone to build unrealistic expectations before the official reveal
Lmao
That's all the nintendo community does lately with any nintendo release
He grabs the switch out of the dock, plugs in an accesory on its top and projects a screen on the wall
He aims the Joycon at the wall and begins playing retro duck hunt, the ducks react to the Trigger pull on the wall
Built in can opener.

Gman the game launches on the switch 2, no hl3 lmao
the idea of the second USB on top allowing for a camera attachment (etc) would be an awesome way to have gimmicks that arent included in the base console
At the beginning, you said “im recording this…” with a switch video in the background and it made me brain process it as you saying “im recording this on a Nintendo Switch” 😭😭
Now that would be next gen
Just show me at least one, JUST ONE, brand new game from Nintendo that’s exclusive to this new system. This will make my week happy.

That is the real reason anyone wants a Switch 2
there's like a 90% chance they do that, would be a bit weird not to

Captain's logbook 2025-01-07: arlo thinking deep, deep.
One way you could create a ton of hype around Switch 2 as a console, is with amazing games.
That being said, I do really want them to make the Switch 2 a huge improvement over the Switch - not just in terms of hardware, but software too. It's been so long since the OG Switch came out, they've had a LOT of time to get feedback, fix problems, expand and polish the system, the UI, etc.
Ok but this Nintendo we are talking about the forever kings of left field when have they EVER in the last 10 years done anything that was expected
So, you're saying the games that will make a small appearance in the reveal will launch this year?
The 3DS had a trailer where Mario stepped us through the new features. The Switch 2 reveal had to be rerecorded because it was a walkthrough by Luigi.
Rhythm Heaven jumpscare at the end, my goodness. Much appreciated.
Exquisite
I definitely feel like it's going to be a more straightforward showing. Really cut and dry tech specs talk with maybe a game announcement or comparison to push some excitement on its capabilities. Remember, they don't have to sell us on the concept of the switch, they have to sell us on a switch upgrade.
“With the Nintendo Switch 2, all games will now have a Funky Mode thanks to our new Funky Kong Injection™ technology, which automatically injects Funky Kong into any active game.“
I can't wait for the switch to come with 128 gigs of internal storage and for Nintendo to treat it like a massive deal
I hope it is actually on Thursday because that’s my birthday 🥰

*Nintendo on Thursday:*
We present to you our new and latest console...
Nintendo Switch Lite OLED!!!
You joke, but some people really would love that. Kind of odd they didn't appeal to those who wanted a smaller form factor AND a nicer screen.
you talking about switch 2 so much makes me so excited for a possible arlo-splosion of switch 2 videos
0:35 the reason is simple: you predicted the switch 1 but didn't say nothing. it was said in your reaction to the reveal, rember? :D
Bocchi!
Here’s the scene.
Dark room. Spotlight in the centre. From the darkness the Switch 2 is chucked into the spotlight, the dock soon follows.
A frustrated Japanese man is heard in the distance “There it is! Now shut up!”
Switch 2 sells 10 billion units, Nintendo buys planet Earth, world peace for all.
That would be funny asl😂
the reveal is that I, specifically, am invited to the rooftop 1,2 Switch party. and cool people
(just kidding, I can't wait to laugh when nothing happens this week)
Arlo, you've got it all wrong. What's really gonna happen is they're gonna bring out the guy who announced Splatoon 2 onto a stage and in full chested Engrish he'll declare "inturodushing! Nintendo Suichi... TSU!" And he'll strike the 2 pose like he did almost a decade ago. And then close curtains. Thag is all.
You nailed the Japanese pronunciation
That feels like plenty to look forward to.
Those are alr 3 games calm down
You just said it. Show metrpid prime 4 and pokemon legends as cross gen titles (or just new gen they dont need to be switch games) then show some improved switch games. There you go, decent reveal. But i agree, it would be nice if they showed, say, mario galaxy 3.
Metroid, Xenoblade and Pokémon at launch would be pretty fucking baller in all honesty.
Loterally, any time someone just says "i suppose" by itself, that's in my head.
Yeah, yeah, yeah?
All I want is a Nintendo Steam Deck.
I love my Steam Deck, but the idea of what Nintendo could do on their own hardware is exciting.
nintendo hire this man
Take the steam deck, make it lighter and thinner, remove trackpads since this isnt a pc, make the screen 8 inch 1080p, give it joycons, add the switch home menu (but with modern improvements), make the docking wireless, and finally, have some kick ass games.
You heard first from me.
- No new game will be shown. Few selected Switch games with improved visuals.
- UI will be shown.
- C button functionality will be shown. It is community button. When you push it you see your friends, and you see your own stats for the games you played.
- They will say to tune in for Softwares for later date.
Pretty good prediction tbh
It will probably have gameplay teasers, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's only backwards compat remasters.
That would be a terrible move if they only show backward compatible games. People aren’t going to see anything new and not be interested. They have to show off new games and at least a NS1 game such a ToTK.
Just show me the joycons not drifting
They are allegedly going to have hall effect joysticks, which should totally eliminate drift.
@@jakegomez2111 I honestly _really_ don't believe that. I'm fairly sure that "leak" was just someone praying a bit too hard.
If it does still have this issue you should start getting ready to buy 3rd party controlllers
Just absolutely edged all year
They cannot afford to delay that long. The calendar is barren.
Can't wait for an announcement of the announcement of an announcement.
Imagine if it’s a shot for shot remake of the WiiU trailer to start, the big feature here being you can play with the console handheld and stream to the tv as a separate screen. Make the mic be on the console itself, and make the c button a “communication” button, and it might just make sense
Get ready for ‘New Switch Oled’ and ‘New Switch Lite,’ not a 2 in sight.
Don't let Nintendo see this 👀
0:53 Honestly? Yeah. I haven't been interesred in the Switch 2 rumors due to investment with console - I don't think I'll feel hype over whatever's coming until a game I'm excited for gets announced - but thinking about the hypotheticals and "what ifs" has been fun! I love exploring that kind of thinking
I think the reveal will mainly be focused on the current gen games and running them
The switch itsself is perfect! And now we get a more or less a switch 2/ pro this is all i ever wanted.
For years have I been laughed at or given funny looks, because when anyone around me utters the phrase “I suppose“, I would be compelled to chant: “ I. Sup-pose. HEY!”
At last, I have found one who understands me.
At last, there is another visitor to Rhythm Heaven.
“How can they advertise something thats almost the exact same premise as the last thing?”
Apple has entered the room
Literally. Apple has such insanely good marketing for what is just… “iPhone except now there’s a camera button :00000”
Yo this is actually a fucking rad idea. I can totally see them doing something like this.
It’d be absolutely bizarre if they show literally no games, unless the feature set is A LOT more robust than that of the OG Switch.
The trailer this time will show people playing Switch 2 deep underwater and near a volcano.
they'll showcase the mouse feature, the "c" button, and the new magnetic holder for the joy cons.
Nintendo could go a different route, but tbh this works out well and makes sense to go the route of how the switch was handled
nah they'll reveal a game, probably
but it'll be something along the lines of like, pilot wings resort or nintendo land - nothing major
the switch is really the outlier when it comes to big, super impressive launch titles since it had BOTW
It probably won’t be in the reveal trailer but id be shocked if it doesn’t launch with a mainline Mario or Mario Kart game. It’s been 8 years since the last mainline 3D Mario and almost 11 since the last “brand new” Mario kart.
@@calebpagan2226one of them will so i wouldn’t be surprised
To be fair, n64 was the only console with impressive graphics for its time.
I wanted to make a Switch 2 prediction video of my own (ive wanted to try out making youtube videos in general) but I havent had the time
So I'll drop it here: I think the C button is for Connect. The Switch 2 will be able to cast the screen- not only to a dock- but to 3 other nearby Switches to allow for couch co-op, no downloads required
Imagine you jump into Mario Kart, and press the C button, and everyone with a Switch in a 20 foot radius gets a notification on their home menu that a game of Mario Kart is open for joining. And they can hit that button to hop into a race, no downloads or cartriges required. (would be REALLY COOL with Master Chief Collection, Arlo and I were on the same wavelength in thinking that MCC on Switch 2 might end up being a thing)
Anyway, thats my take
It's pretty neat to see the parallels to the rumors: Original: Mario Kart, Zelda (Beloved IP), Skyrim (WOW moment), New Mario, Sports game, Rumored Switch 2: Mario Kart (Rumored), Metroid Prime 4 (Beloved IP), RDR2 at 60fps (Rumored WOW moment), New Mario (Galaxy 3 rumored?).

I have one prediction: it will not run games in 4k
I think even a DLSS 4k is beyond reach. But hey! Let's hope eh
The reveal is going to be be people putting the system back in the box.
"A guy will come in and he'll take it out" phrasing Arlo!
What's the background song in this video?

Actually @AidenIsABot found it in another comment, it's called Nutty Noon
Nutty Noon from Kirby's Return to Dreamland
Darude sandstorm
Part of me thinks it'll be a lot more like a standard Nintendo direct. They start with a trailer showing it off, transition into the console preview that explains it in more depth, and then announce a few games coming out the first couple months of the console then close out
They should have Arlo reveal the Switch 2
If they lean into the mouse thing, I could see a reveal in a similar style opening with someone playing a game on keyboard and mouse and then taking the switch out of the dock and showing them using the mouse joycon on the go somewhere else at a cafe or something.
If the switch 2 focuses on collaboration
We start with two friends walking side by side...laughing and talking before they bring out the switch two
They each sit down on the same couch and begin to play next to each other
We see the game and how theyre doing split screen
Maybe its a new game
Maybe its just Splatoon or something
Then suddenly it zooms out
They were never in the same room
Its not split screen
Theyre playing and talking with each other in different countries
"Switch it up, play together" or something like that
Showing a beefed up online and focus on collaboration with other players
I think it will be a tech demo presentation like you described, followed by a quick b roll montage of random people enjoying the new features described.
Imagine the entire announcement is they just tweet two images: A photo of the system and an image with text of the specs.
I just got my “Switch 2 is real 1/16/24” tattoo hope nintendo doesnt mess this up for me
I think it depends on what the launch games are as to how they show it off.
Nintendo shows the mocked up leak photos and say, "Yup...you got it right!"
I haven't been able to get the casting capability/dual screen mode theory out of my head. That would be a pretty big game changer to me considering Wii U and DS games would be possible to port over. I think that would also really help set the Switch 2 apart from other handheld devices. Here's hoping.
Get ready for SwitchU
Switcube
I wonder if one of the key fetures this time is the return of Street Pass and maybe a lot of the features they show off will be for this??
I can hope... I really want street pass back :')
Probably not it’s been done, maybe if there is a new spin.
I've been saying this for years, but the Switch's successor might be leaning more into VR.
The Switch's experiments were all about the IR sensor: the toycon and Labo, the HD Rumble and Warioware using it to supplement motion controls.
Probably not full VR, but we might see more support for it as a feature
The Switch 2 being bigger would hamper that theory
people keep joking about this being Arlo’s only channel, which just isn’t true…
ArloWhatevs existed that one time
i think your forgeting about his other other channel arloplays
oh yeah and Arlo's old grade-school friend Jaggy Thermas
Don't forget Arlocast
The C button stands for computer!
