  • Construction projects in Singapore using pre-fabricated modules are facing delays of up to nine months. Around 11,000 residential units are affected. The Prefabricated Prefinished Volumetric Construction (PPVC) technique is often touted to cut time and manpower, but contractors said it has made things worse for them during the pandemic. With almost no modules coming in, it means PPVC projects are more severely hit. Even if suppliers bring in units, there's nowhere to put them. The Building and Construction Authority has said it is assessing the need to enhance supply resilience.

Does knocking noises transmit better in prefab flats ? These walls are extremely dense and hard. I like prefab though. Like fast to build. Will costs saved be passed to buyers?

Prefabs are normally used for low buildings not high rise ones because of strong wind loads and earthquakes or even shakes from heavy vehicular traffic.
I just hope these factors have been considered by the structural engineers of such projects.
    God Bless Always.🙏🙏🙏
