Hey I'm following along in Udemy awesome course. I got a question and maybe you have a video that explains it. How can company sync active directory accounts to the office 365 accounts? so I be using my active directory credentials to log in to a device, and use SSO to log in to all office 365 apps.. in your Udemy course it uses Azure. Not window active directory.
@@danieldelgado6392 Hi Daniel. That is done with Azure AD Connect and Sync. I don't have a video on that because it's hard to replicate and sync a full working AD in a Domain environment. I do need to make a Server OS training video but it may be a while as I'm starting a new job on Monday.
I have been associated with Office so long ago MS was offering a domain and traditional website. I have an E3 license and like you....im a nerd, but 71 years old a retired railroad employee.
Im tired of arguing on Facebook and was about to cancel Microsoft E3 because it was beginning to appear Office 365 morphing to Microsoft 365 would never be complete. Honestly!
I hate to pull the plug on MS and for some mystical resson RUclips served your page and got my entrepreneurialism personality peddal to the metal. So, i decided to stay for awhile. To your credit, I have learned more in these 2 hours (other than my self taught skill) than any previous MS course. Cudo's.
My main complaint with MS videos, they initially failed to define a "User". It would have been wonderful if Microsoft had to find a user as a there a paid user or this external user. It really makes a difference you know. My second complain was there did not seem to be a connectivity as to the overall abilities or goals that Microsoft 365 was trying to teach. From the start, you did give us a somewhat of a guide.

My pleasure. That's always been the case with IT Degrees, they don't teach real world stuff. This is why experience is so valuable.
Bro U can finish the degree with a first class but with a Completely Empty head on real stuff done in the Industry
@@loveworthfinding802 I know, and its frusterating since as an 18 year old, how are you supposed to know what the real stuff is? College is a scam most of the time imo, sure it can be useful, but honestly if you don't get internships during college you will struggle.
I actually had no idea that 365 had an admin side and wasn't sure what Azure was before this video. Thanks for the video. It helped a ton.

I've used OpenOffice for the past 10 years and used MS Office in high school. I'm a little old school and set in my ways when it comes to the software I use at home because it works. However, I've been preparing to get into IT, got the A+/Network+, and have been playing catch up on what everyone's using nowadays which brings me here. Really appreciate the content!
If anyone knows, besides M365 and AD DS, what other types of software do most companies use?
you need to look into Azure AD as it goes hand in hand with this. Know TCP/IP and some VPN If going admin look into group policy and backup strategy. If helpdesk look into detailed office products, phone OS's and maybe something like Power BI

Hello, you should make podcasts that we the people can listen and have descriptions of how to and big overview/ theoretical stuffs. Im studying for MS certs + others. @cobuman is it possible to search a user by its role in admin center. As you already know that sally is finance manager in the example. But what if we don't know who is the finance manager. Then how can we search the him and assign other roles? Thanks
Good question. You can't do it from Admin Center, but you can do from Azure AD and use function "add filter", "job title". Which is no longer called Azure AD but "Microsoft Entra"... I really need to make a video to show changes made. Probably my next video will talk about that.
I was wrong. You can do it in both by using filters. My new videos comes out today talking about that.

Do I have to subscribe or get the license?
Microsoft offers trial version and developer version.
