you should use CAT5 or 6 cable first of all it has 8 conectors if you do it right you can have so u can plug and unplug stuff with less of a hassle and there also quite cheap

you should get telephone cable, it has 4 wires and its way cheaper than hdmi and longer
or he could get some cat6 or cat5 wire its cheap
