I hope I made her think. I also hope she was feeling ok and that she's safe at home. I started thinking later that day that maybe she's normally wonderful and she was just off for some reason. I hope she was just having a bad day.

Ugh, right?! I had a great experience with the manager the last time I was there. Maybe this girl had something going wrong in her life. I always feel bad for complaining. My mind wonders if she lost a family member or if she's struggling with something. She could be just rude but I know there may be more to her story.
I'm so happy with the blush. I'm still going to compare it to Pomelo Peach from Haus Labs. I'm too curious.
Ugh, I’m sorry you had that bad experience at MAC. I used to work there too and I can’t even imagine treating someone that way. Customer service is definitely not what it used to be. We were asking a worker at Walmart to help us find a product and he answered his cell phone right in front of us and walked away. Your final makeup look was so beautiful! ❤
🙄 Seriously!? Did you say something to him? I can't keep my mouth shut these days. Honestly, I never could. I'm polite and to the point. If we don't say something, they'll continue to behave that way. They need to be held to a higher standard.
If my kids were shopping with me and we had a bad experience I would rant in the car and tell them what should have happened. My kids are very polite. 🤣

I really like MAC’s new foundation and keep it for weekends and special occasions…..it’s a little cost prohibitive for everyday. I’ve still never found a mascara I like from them but Bad Gal Bang from Benefit has been a go to for years! It’s all about the brush for me. Anyway you did a fabulous job as always - beautiful!

I love this look! Any medium coverage, hydrating foundation always interests me but finding the right shade online is 😵💫
It always hard. Do you have a foundation that matches you perfectly? I know I'm a neutral. That's a big piece of the puzzle. If you can figure out your undertones than you can go from there.
When I have a self tan I'm typically light/medium neutral. When I'm my natural colour, I'm a light neutral. Do you know what your tone is?
@@JulieMeikle I’m a neutral leaning warm, a medium olive really. But some neutrals are so warm they don’t work. I keep trying!
There are so many people out there that would LOVE to work at MAC. I would definitely reach out to the Manager to let them about your experience, as they need to know that she needs more CS training or be let go.
You're right, Tanya. There are so many good artist that would love to work there. I started wondering if she was maybe having a bad day or maybe wasn't feeling well. It's the libra in me. I always try to see the other side. My gut is telling me she's just rude though.
Hi Julie, You look so pretty without any makeup on. I just watched an influencer called Nikol Johnson and she also spoke to people leaving rude comments on her site. In a store where service is to be of utmost importance is beyond rude the way the salesperson acted but you handled it like a lady while standing up for yourself. I try to stay so positive in an ever changing world. I’ve been awake since midnight so I think I’m going to try and go back to bed and hopefully sleep. You are so talented the way you apply your makeup and look beautiful. I am going to watch again later because I am so tired.

@@JulieMeikle I didn’t sleep much but every little bit helps. I do the same thing as always trying to be understanding as to what the person might be going through. I too have not so great days but I would never take it out on another person. I agree that maybe she will think about the way you responded before she mistreats someone again. I also have the most inordinate energy on no sleep, my husband is always so shocked by it because he easily sleeps 8 sometimes 9 hours per night. It’s late in the day so I’m going to make dinner. I still haven’t been able to watch, hopefully later.

@@JulieMeikle I used to shop at Dress Barn, you could get anything there from evening attire to career, coats, shoes, etc. but they closed, now either do Macys of sometimes Penneys. It’s so hard to find decent clothes anymore, I don’t like ordering online because I have to try the clothes on first. Sometimes it’s so frustrating. 💯💯

Thank you,, Amy! We actually leave tomorrow for his graduation. We were suppose to leave around 1:30 but I was able to get a last minute doctors appointment at 2:45 and I had to take it. It's going to be a long day but my husbands driving so I can relax. We don't have to pack a lot either which is nice.
I can feel the pride you have when you mention your sons. Isn't amazing to stand back and watch who they've become? We did our job. We kept them safe and gave them the space they needed to find their way. Some people say "the young kids today"while they shake their heads. I'm the opposite. I look at all of them and have faith that our world will continue to get better.

Love the finished look! As far as "pissy" customer service gal-oh my! You handled it well. I also have Mane brush-love it. Great for "day old" hair. And blouse-I have similar collar problem with a white one. I now wear it backwards. Makes for a nice high collar look under a blazer. Et voila!

I’m still a MAC Face and Body snob😂😂 that foundation is my favorite and has been for years! I’ve got a lot of newer/different foundations, and my MAC Face and Body still outshines all of them❤ if I want to go all out and look amazing… I’ll grab that every time. It never fails me💯🥰
I love that foundation!! I have it in different packaging. Do you know if they changed the formula when they changed the packing? I should check it out again. I'm excited they're updating their colours. I've always had trouble because I'm a true neutral. The foundations would either be too yellow or too pink so I'd have to mix N3 or N4 with C2 in Face & Body to get my perfect match. Such a pain. I'm going to go look now.🤗

Anastasia muted mauve ,dusty rose used to like mac whirl soar but find them too drying I love trying new lip pencils as long as there the good old fashioned wood pencils

@@JulieMeikle I love 3 and use them on rotation: the Dior Skin Correct, the new Fenty and the Clinique Even Better All Over concealer. The last one is surprisingly good and not talked about enough in my opinion, it’s a little bit less hydrating than the other two but it really looks like skin 😊❤️

I've had my Tower28 concealer since it launched and I love it. it's my favorite for my no makeup makeup days. But the new one I got was the fenty one , you sold me on it and I love it. They're a huge headache. I wish I had had help. At least Apple has great customer service. They're wonderful. It turns out my camera wasn't working because I changed it to photo instead of video.🤦♀️ I have no memory of doing that.
I'm out of town until Thursday evening to see my son Graduate from his military training. My livestreams are not working out for me again this week. I want to get better at uploading regular content. I realized I'm spreading myself too thin. It's hard to keep up with everything since I post on TikTok, Instagram and here. I wish I could give TikTok up but it's my biggest platform and that's wear brands find me. I know it will happen if I'm more consistent with my uploads. Positive thinking. 😃

I've had great luck with many brushes on Amazon... EXCEPT for the Jessup brushes... they ALL are falling apart... some are clumping off with zero washes and others, the entire clump of fibers / or hair after just one washing.... thank you for the link... Happy Tuesday! ❤

but I'm not quite there yet, so they put on seea sickness pills too help writh the fealing off going too throw up because of being dissy.
It helps werry much, so now in up as long I remember too take the pills. 😊
I have an appointment writh the doctor in 2 weeks and then we wril figure out what is next thing too do if it still is a problem.

It's unfortunate. I had a wonderful experience when I was looking for my last foundation. I dealt with the manager and she was amazing. I always have good service at Sephora too. She shouldn't have been there. I keep wondering if she had something going on that day. Maybe she wasn't feeling well or ....who knows? I don't like assuming I know. I do know she was awful but maybe she's not always awful.

I'm glad you're starting to feel better and able to move around easier. Now you'll be good for the summer months. Do you cycle with friends or a group? I used to love riding my bike. I lived in the country when I was young so we rode our bikes into town for fun. It would take my brother and I a couple of hours one way. We were in great shape.
@@JulieMeikle Hi Julie the specialist was happy at the wound there is be no more dressing to cover the wound and can get back to cycling still bit of swelling there but he says should go down in around 4 weeks so getting there just do not want to over do it while swelling is there but take small steps but happy with this outcome yesterday it is itchy which is good And no cycle solo enjoy the fresh air and sun so there is my update so happy Donna xo❤💄

Oh no. I'm sorry it didn't work for you. What concealer do you like? I'm 52 but we all have different needs. Have you tried Fenty's new concealer or Haus Labs? They're so good.
Your a make up artist and you needed help with a match? At least I thought you were maybe I am wrong. That’s one thing I love about being a make up artist I never need help in the store I can always match myself.
Julie, like me wears contact lenses. It’s sometimes difficult to get a perfect foundation match with lenses in your eyes.

I’m a little late to the game. Your experience, unfortunately, isn’t uncommon. I don’t even ask for help at my local Sephora. The associates aren’t there to help customers. They’re there to play with makeup, stare at themselves in mirrors, take selfies and talk to each other. They don’t mind letting people know they’re annoyed when interrupted.
I'm so sorry you're having bad experiences. I actually worked at our Sephora and we had a wonderful team. I enjoyed working there. All the mature women would find me and were grateful to find an artist who understood their skin. I wish you could have come in to my store when I used to work there. I would have given you the biggest smile and all the help you needed.🤗
