What a score here from Duran squared to 5Ramones to Porcupine Tree and all fun in between..Im Paul just tripped on the channel and subbed...That Donnas one looks nice..old school Willie Dixon blues legend.Digging that Miles...great video thanx for sharing and take care
Nice eclectic selection of titles. Always nice to see people who aren’t stuck on one genre and open to good music in whatever form. Hope you get many hours of enjoyment from them.
I'm glad to see you were able to obtain your selections on your abridged listing. The local record store in my area scored a single purchase of $1300+, and I think that was the high for the day. The Taylor Swift album actually made it to their website the following morning and was gone in about two minutes after it was uploaded. No, I didn't go out this time around. The last RSD on Black Friday in November had more titles I was interested in (and I got one album on my list as it was all my budget would allow me).😊
It was tough to make decisions on this RSD. The list was one of the best. The Kiss album will be a collectors item. Kiss fans were really wanting that one. I don't like live albums either but I ended up with some. I hope to have good luck with them this year. Epic haul. Thank you and take care.
The one I wanted was only 1000 copies, but there were plenty on the internet for reasonable price. I maxed out on 2 and found a 2021 RSD. Larry Mullins 7 inch as it was 8.50, Blindman because it is a Ringo Starr movie, came with poster and I liked the soundtrack. Knew nothing about Dave Van Ronk, but it was RSD 2021 new for $8.50 so I also bought it.
I picked up the Stevie Nicks, as I was cleaning and sleeving I noticed the CB in the deadwax, indicating a Chris Bellman mastering. I haven't played it yet, but it's reassuring to know he's involved. Hopefully it sounds good.
My biggest score was Marble Phrogg, one of the best unknown psychedelic bands of the 60's out of Tulsa Oklahoma. The original album had only around 250 pressings and was sold in Tulsa only, nearly impossible to find and if you do, your pockets have to be deep. My next score was the 2 Sparks albums and Suzi Quatro. I am like you I stay away from picture disks, live and cover band tracks on albums and alot of the releases for the day was that, hence a small pick up for me. I may go back for the Rolling Stones beggars banquet and Canned Heats album and some others that might still be left.
Nice scores! Thanks for the report. I got shut out on Miles at one store but found it at another. I also got the live Cap'n Beefheart, Allman Brothers and Elvis RCA '72 rehearsals. Have a great week!
Great video. My gets were...Mr.Big it sounds great I'm a bassist from Buffalo I've known Billy Sheehan since the mid seventies. The live Yes album 73 at Knoxville I'm also leary about live albums this one sounds great. Strawberry Alarm Clock Incense & Peppermints it's colored vinyl & sounds great like a pinkish vinyl great 60s band that actually featured Ed King on guitar who later went on to Lynyrd Skynyrd. And my last got & disappointed was ELP Brain Salad Surgery 50th anniversary picture disc. I have alot of good sounding picture discs this one even the original recording is not a great mix very low volume I hoped they would fix that but nope. Anyway love the video.
Yes, I passed on both and mainly passed on Bill Evans because it was just too expensive. I’m glad I picked up the Muddy Water at the Hollywood Summit and BB kings- blues is king! Both $25 range and sound pretty good to me
@@pappyl4833 I was very disappointed by the BB King unfortunately. It sounded like they poorly spliced together several varying quality sources and there was some tape drop out at the beginning. It also sounded like it was mono not the stereo it was advertised to be. It was a fun performance though for sure. I would have liked the the Muddy Waters but for the reasons I gave in the video I tend to stay away from live albums on RSD. Unfortunately I should have stayed away from the BB King. I am glad you were able to enjoy it though.
Bought 0, zero, nada as I've cured myself of FOMO and changed my collecting strategy from quantity to quality now spend £300 to £500 on a single album I really want eg Boards of Canada or Sade originals rather than 30-40 records which I may play once and which then take up storage space. Sorry why do I want to hear the practice sessions or F'ups? 🤔
Your collection looks beautiful, its amazing to see true music lovers.
Thanks

I am guessing you got the Van Halen? I wanted it but I couldn’t justify $100 for it.

Good grabs. The Dead set is tits and I really like Brownout Brown Sabbath. Grabbed the Elvis and Pearl Jam as well.

Thanks for watch. Sounds like most of what you got were great pick ups, congrats!
Congrats on scoring the Porcupine Tree! My biggest win today was Eric Dolphy.
Good score! I have the version of that from 2018 RSD.
Sorry you didn’t win the Tay-Tay poster. 😂 Good to see you again this morning.
Yeah that would have been nice. Great to see you as well!
I never buy coloured vinyl as you cannot see pressing defects or scratches, have no issue with sound 90% of the time
I admit it can be harder to see but the ones that affect play are visible on any colored vinyl I have bought.
No Bill Evans no Chet Baker I'm suprised
Not a huge fan of either. If the Bill Evans was more like $60 or less I would have considered it.

I often times find I prefer the demo or alternate session versions better than the standard version. The Miles session tapes are amazing especially.
@@trueaudiofiles8453 OK your money, your choice
@@ergloo6660 it is. Not only do they look nicer they also tend to retain their value more than the black vinyl versions.
