66LaClaire was a cool town with a ton of history! We saw 2 barges and a paddle wheeler in a building! I enjoyed the museum! Thank you Russ? Appreciate your travels and I’ll miss the Mississippi for now! I look forward to Route 66!❤️😀🇺🇸🌏🚙
Thanks for putting out videos of your travels. I like that you don't video yourself yammering on about why you went to a place - you just hop in the van and go and take us along on your adventures. I always think about folks who are stuck in nursing homes or otherwise are unable to leave their space and how much these videos could give them the feel that they are in your passenger seat going along for the ride. Keep up the great work!
whole america is hoot and a half . and always wish to be there .thats my die hard wish . and i wish u stay always in mint condition 😊 for us to show the beauty of america as usual as always .❤❤❤
Thanks for this video, Russ, I lived in LeClaire back in the 1970's, it was a sleepy little river town back then. It is a cool place to visit and explore these days for lots of visitors. Glad you enjoyed your time up and down the Great River Road, it is beautiful any time of year, bald eagles in the winter, fall leaf peeping drives and the river activity in spring and summer. Come back soon!
Thanks for your videos, always so interesting to watch, especially since I haven't been able to afford to travel this year. God bless you and everyone 🙏
Hi Russ, Thank you again for taking your time in the newseum you did better hear then you did in cody wyoming newseum that was 4 times the size. You know what we like now slow down and enjoy so we can to.
Thank you again for great excuse take an extended 5 minute break! Got that theme tune from Italian job stuck in my head after touring the museums and gift shop… self preservation society… Oh boy !
You are in our stomping ground. If you go to the Thomson Causeway you'll see the widest part of the Mississippi, it's in the campground for best view 3.5 miles across.
I love your channel; your narrations are very calming. I've started as an amateur and struggling to at least get seen. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. your editing is perfect. Your content is captivating, and I binge watch to learn
I love the video! This is the part of the US where I live and I'm very familiar with all you showed. You did a wonderful job exploring the Mississippi River towns. Thanks for sharing! Safe travels! Take care!
I just had a great idea for your coffee mugs, when people send their pictures in to put on a coffee mug you could put you've been MUGGED by RVERTV , lol 😂 sorry couldn't help it, I've been watching your channel for a long time and subscribed for years I never say anything but this time I had to share my idea with you and you're welcome to use it thanks for taking us on the journey with you 🩵
This is cool Mr.Russ! Savanna was my hometown for almost 20 years! I and my mother have been a fan a yours since the Rachel tour in 19', and I never imagined seeing you shop at Sullivan's! It is the community "waterhole" indeed! Everybody, in town, regardless of status ends up being seen there! Great place for donuts. Better than anywhere I've tried yet here in Colorado! :-)
I see you're going to be getting on i-80 heading East. Just a word of warning i-80 changes roads and if you miss that turn off. You're going to be going a long ways before you have a chance to turn around. Just trying to be helpful because I've made that mistake a few times. Safe travels and thank you for bringing me along on your trips.
Hi Russ, I have been watching you for a long while. I like your approach to travel and all your content is great. My approach to tech is very much less than yours. The thing you do that I like from the beginning is you scope out the town first then get back to your main stop. I do that. Always nice to see options first. Keep up the great content, thanks a lot for sharing your travels.
Thanks for the river road trip and museum tour. I'm impressed w the dog butter churn. Wonder what breed of dog and what enticed him to keep walking. I have pictures in my mind. Lol.
I'm in Hot Springs Arkansas and last week Mike Wolfe and the American pickers were about 3 miles from my house picking a property full of cool old cars the guy's name was Jim you'll see it one day I left a message with Danielle to send them down here but they were moving on to a different place and will be back another time
I enjoy traveling with you, I would do it all over again. All the way from New Orleans on #61 through Hannibal, Mo., Savanna, LeClaire, is where American Pickers is located. I have done it by big rig. Very interesting route. Didn't Mark Twain write about Hannibal, Mo.
Very, very interesting and cool museum with many different lifestyles depicted. The housed riverboat was very interesting. Simplicity in operation and life. A dog powered butter churn was your most interesting find of the day. Just curious how many mile have you driven on this trip so far?
Home of John Deere world headquarters.. Rock Island Arsenal. You really missed a lot. I know you can't cover everything. Great content however. Thanks for another great post
I enjoy your videos....Don't know if you were aware, but when you filmed going thru Clinton, Iowa on your way to LeClair, There were signs for the Lincoln Highway .which .apparently goes thru Clinton and a couple places RTE 30 & 67 were one and the same...
.. US287 runs from Yellowstone Montana to Houston about 1700 miles .. whew ..!.. thanks Russ .. 32:22 I think she wants to see your van ..?!!.. the blue building was Mikes shop that he Frank and Dani became famous and then expanded by dozing a house next door and built the new brick gift shop ..!
Russ, wondering what the reason is you don't use a Garmin GPS on your travels? They have so much more detailed info in one unit than using Google maps. Just curious.
Hello, many thanks from Germany for the great videos. My wife and I are big fans of yours. Could you please share which camera you use when filming handheld? Thank you in advance. Best regards, Uwe and Karin. 😊
Too bad you didn't go through Princeton around lunchtime, Go Fish is one of the best restaurants in the area! You also just barely missed Tug Fest. Fireworks show off a barge in the middle of the river followed by a tug-of-war between Iowa & Illinois across the river.
They pay good and eat good they move slow but steady the tug is a nice place you see a lot on the banks at night when they light the banks up with the search light it is nice but slow

There are steamship museums in Fall River and New Bedford, Mass documenting past millenia of travel.
I'm in Hot Springs Arkansas and last week Mike Wolfe and the American pickers were about 3 miles from my house picking a property full of cool old cars the guy's name was Jim you'll see it one day I left a message with Danielle to send them down here but they were moving on to a different place and will be back another time

Corn and soybeans
Back when I was an OTR driver, I used to enjoy watching the wind blowing across the soy Fields.
And Hay
That's what you get when you're an outstanding uteber. Paid Vacation...
If you get to the American pickers tell him they need to see The bicycle heaven in Pittsburgh
Why did you need to pull your cameras in during the rain? Aren’t the GoPro’s waterproof?
Too bad you didn't go through Princeton around lunchtime, Go Fish is one of the best restaurants in the area! You also just barely missed Tug Fest. Fireworks show off a barge in the middle of the river followed by a tug-of-war between Iowa & Illinois across the river.
