The usual Christmas documentary :D enjoy! What do you think of AntsCanada finally doing a large multispecies vivarium? He has done an Amazing job!!!
bet he got inspiration from you
@@thestondfrognot sure! That would be an honour 😉
Yep I did watch that video of his. Nature likes to give him a lot of sudden suprises .
It's cool but not the same vibe as yours, it's not as natural and intricate as your ecosystems.
Still a good step forward from his all artificial setups.
@@estebanprat9857his scale makes it incredibly epic though! But really warms my heart you still appreciate my little content :D
To all of you who are sad and or lonely in these trying times I am here for you!
Merry Christmas and happy holidays!
Merry Christmas! Wish you all the best
Thanks! Merry Christmas and happy new year 🎉
Love the biodiversity in this tank! It must be so relaxing just watching the endless amount of things happening in it.
Yes it is awesome! Hope I made it justice for you :D
It's crazy to see how much the terrarium has grown and evolved, I can't wait to see it's continued growth.
Thank you :D looking forward sharing to you ;)!
I have never seen two separate ant species physically communicate with their antennae together and agree on peace
I'm glad to see your channel is still alive! Though I am sorry to hear about your microphone's cancer diagnosis, my thoughts and prayers are with it.
Yeah it broke and had to post before xmas! Very sorry about that :,)
I also have several setups with large terrariums that are connected via tube systems. But until now I haven't dared to let the ants and other animals live together because I was afraid that they would wipe each other out. But it looks like if the animals have enough space and food, it should be possible to let them live together. Thanks as always for your great contribution. I've already watched it several times.
Thank you so much for enjoying the video :D hope you have a fANTastic day my dear friend
These are the videos i'm most exited about on the entire RUclips
That makes me so happy to hear!!
Another brilliant video, most people watching this will have no idea how difficult and time consuming this is.
Well done Sir.
WOW THIS IS AMAZING!!
I love how the mushrooms cane out of nowhere lol
Thank you for watching
Mushrooms seem to be silently waiting everywhere for the perfect conditions to fruit and spore…they are near magical in their complex roles within their ecosystems. It delighted me to see them taking a March. It would be good to see some colonies of woody growing shrubs where those species symbiotic with living trees etc. gain the opportunity to build their underground network of mycelium enhancing the communication among the woody plants.🖤🇨🇦
@@tamarrajames3590 thx!!
Awesome update! Thank you and Merry xMas
Merry Christmas man!! All the best :D
Big Surprise that Trap-Jaws are the ones that survived the famine. What happened to the Water area in the last 3 months? Even after 50 minutes i am still left with more questions and want to see the next episode!
So unexpected!!! Yes sorry for missing out on showing the water compartment... The fish, shrimp and loaches are doing well! and salamanders evolved to land and got taken out ;D
These videos are brilliant and Definitely Not something I thought I’d enjoy, or even watch! But you came up in my feed and now I’m hooked.
I love that the animals get to live a completely natural, uninterrupted existence doing their own thing their own way…That’s the enjoyment.
Thank you so much for this kind comment! And welcome to the vivarium world :D
the best ecosystem videos on youtube
Honoured you think so! :D
Just awesome !! Heute noch darüber nachgedacht Dornaugen in ein Ecosphere zu "packen". Sehr gutes Video 💚⚗️
LETS GO! I’ve been craving ecosystem vivarium content for monthssssssss
Hope you like it :D
Thanks for making these videos for us! I love watching them over and over 😃
I was expecting this so much, can't wait!!
Thank you so much :D hope you like it!
I gotta say I really love your videos. You really show the vivarium and all it's creatures the way they actually are, without hyping anything up artificially and rather just showing genuine excitement for what you do with fun little jokes and bits here and there. Keep up the great work and thank you for these awesome videos!
By the way, I would really enjoy 4k videos if you ever happen to get a 4k cam, I think that would be awesome. Anyway, have a great day!
Damn 4K! Never thought of that…. Will do ;) and thanks for the support
Your uploads are always the highlight of my day
So happy to hear that !!!
I love your lighthearted captioning and cheerful enjoyment of all the neat things your little world does. There's humor in happily munching a dead cricket!
I I just got out of hospital to discover this. The vivarium has been maturing beautifully. You can never fully predict what Mother Nature will do. You managed to avoid too much unintended life invading unplanned. I am fascinated anew each time I see the update. You have created a magnificent and epic ecosystem to explore from outside yet. It is quite a unique reality.
Ants Canada has created a magical vivarium, although it started itself before intended. It is, however, gorgeous. I would like to have seen it without invasive species as initially intended.
Both offer plenty of intriguing interactions to witness. I have loved watching this one as it evolves. Watching the variables between the two will be most interesting. Thank you for all you do. Happy New Year to all denizens and their world makers.
I would like to see the planned food chain, and how it is playing out…as well as if there were invaders from outside the initial plan.🖤🇨🇦
Amazing documentary about the life in the vivarium. I loved it! 👍👍
👏🏿 👏🏿 👏🏿 BRAVO!!! I absolutely enjoyed every min of this video from beginning to the end. I'm impressed!
Thank you for sharing, these passion projects are amazing!
Damn dude, amazing video, really interesting and chilling to watch. Your narration and memes make it even better. Watched it entirely and its simply one of the best videos i've ever seen. Congrats to you, good job with the video and the vivarium aswell. Cheers from Brazil :)
Merry Christmas Nordic!
Same to you!! :D
Very cool. Will be showing my husband. As a child he's always loved ants and found them to be so remarkable. I loved watching. Thank you so much.
So happy to see an update best Xmas present

Merry Christmas, Nordic Ants!
Merry Christmas 😊
This is one of the coolest vivariums
Ur narration is really good bro
I love these vids bro :D Also happy new years eve
What a treat a Nordic ants video thankyou I loved it as always
Glad you enjoyed it!! :D
I love these videos, enjoyed every second of it!
Thank you so much for support
Incredible to witness the ant standoff, you really achieved something special with this vivarium. I could watch it for days. Kudos!!
I wonder if the Population drop of the Two major colonies was a result of large food items not being offered as Trap jaws can easily catch springtails and other tiny prey where as the others don't focus on smaller pray. Awesome doc as usual man!
Might be so! I was thinking the plants made a microclimate the trap jaws enjoyed more too!! But you are probably right ngl
beautiful work as always
Thank you
Allways amazing work😁🌿🌳
Keep going
Love your wideos and ecosystems

Yo this was amazing
best christmas gift ever fr
Thank you for watching
Commentary is hilarious. Keep that up.
Amazing video! I always love the videos you make about your vivariums! I am a little disappointed that you never talked about that dead bird you put in the tank though, lol.
Hahahaha yeah for next episode!! Was trying to get the centipede out :,)
This is awesome
ein Super geniales Video . macht richtig Fun. so schön der Natur so nahe zu sein und das Gleichgewicht zu beobachten,
i came back to check up on you and u posted
Thank you so much! Hope you enjoyed
this video was really cool. if you ever make another vivarium like this you should include vampire crabs. they are a perfect size and like that type of climate. they also hunt on land and water. and the babys are so tiny that the ants might hunt them.
Thats so sick!!!!
such a great video
Thank you!
Maybe you should put false scorpion to serve as a primary consumer due to their size but still predatory nature.
Great idea! Will check em out. Thanks for watching :D
this is one of the only ecosystem videos where they hunt eachother
Its so cool to watch!! Love it so much
yay can you post more i remember getting up early to wach your vids
Thank you! hope its worth it :-)
Yeaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh best Christmas present ever
Fantastico ! i Wait another year for update. :)
I was thinking of making a vivarium that closely resembles early life, when bugs and fish began to conquer the land, like. A Prehestoric tank, although it’d be easier with just the bugs. And I will make sure to add plants that are accurate to that time.
Omg I would love to see that!! Can you share some photos/ideas? in the discord maybe (link in description)
@@nordicants6232 well, it’d take me a very long time to do it, and I don’t have the money yet 😭😭😭😭, but if u want ideas for it I can give them, and I am a self taught palaeontologist for the most part, however I am trying to get more insight into periods before the Dinosaurs.
@@thefatraptor4424idea: have the vivarium resemble a swamp add some horsetails and fungi to it bc y know horsetails are common during that period
@@chesterdagoc5915 as a matter of fact they were not in the period i am thinking of, the one i am thinking of will be quite hard to replicate however, so i might have to re-think the time period i want to re-create, because i am basing my vivarium off of the silaurian period, when fish evolved properly, and bugs and plants began to conquer the land, if you have any suggestions about that let me know, also can you link the discord for me????? And again this probably won't happen for a very long time, but hopefully it comes true, ( the hole thing with probably be about 5000-6000 dollars, so maybe not yet :(
however, i might change my plans, and if i do then horse tails are viable, however fungi will always be a thing.@@chesterdagoc5915
Dude, your made up dialogue between these creatures in your edits had me cracking up so much. You're hilarious and this vivarium rocks.
I love these long vivarium documentaries. It'd be really cool if you set up a 24/7 webcam inside.
Twitch is the closest thing to that I can provide :D but will try to stream more. All the best :D
@@nordicants6232You might be able to make a website with it. I've seen websites permanently streaming nature and streets and stuff. Which you can watch anytime.
@@nordicants6232Also very nice video. I have fond memories of watching your older videos and came to rewatch them and found more amazing videos as well. Thanks!
Finally, the legend is back. 😭
Thank you for watching legend!! ;)
If you want your centipede to be more active, move or remove the heatpad for the a few hours, and when it comes out give it a pinky mouse. When I had mine, I'd thaw one out special along with my snake's. Then I'd make a trail by dragging it around, and then once it got late at night she'd pop out and I'd feed her.
I have tried! But she feeds on all the other organisms in the tank so she doesn’t really come out when I want to :((
Im the top leveled person in your server, and must say, this video is perfection🎉
Thank you so much !!! I remember you :D so cool. See you on the server soon
@@nordicants6232see you soon🙂
finally yess, an update
Thanks for watching :D
I was sweating the entire time you were introducing the centipede, I know how much they hurt.
Watching these videos makes me want to build my own mini amateur vivarium.
NORDIC IT'S A LITTLE OVERDUE FOR ANOTHER AWESOME VIDEO BY YOU SIR 😎✌️
Sandy is a really good type of material to use often to secure they're boroughs if I remember correctly
Yes pf course! By why pick the sand from that specific place? Found it oss xD
Awsome video.
Perhaps a dessert set up with comunal praying mantis and ants would be right in your alley.
You are by far the RUclipsr that is best in showing every nook and cranny in your terrariums.
Already building a desert one ;) you just wait!!
@@nordicants6232 I'm exited now.
Paradoxa mantids, triops, small geckos, tiny scorpions the options are endless.
Nice video, glad to see an update!
Have you seen the recent project of AntsCanada? He made a huge vivarium at home
Fascinating tank dude. I used to keep woodlice. Mini beasts r cool!😊👍
These are the best vivarium videos I’ve come across! I’ve watched several of your videos (including this one) many times over now. I’m wondering, have you ever had the ants escape? How do you make sure ants (along with the other critters) stay in the vivarium?
You have inspired me to finally start a vivarium after many years of wanting to do one, I just worry about having a breakout! 😅
Oh thank you!! What a PERFECT way to wake up, thanks, Santa!❤❤❤
Thank you for watching:D

Hahahah the one and only ;)!
O M G!!!!! Centipedes!!! They freak me out worse than anything else at all!!!
They are terrifying xD hope you enjoyed it nonetheless!
definitely subscribing. 🎉🎉
Welcome aboard ;D
Ive been looking to make something similar to this, what are the materials used to create that pond divider?
Use something imoermeable! This is some wood/glue solution :D
Had to give you a follow for the ants Canada mention
considering this my christmas gift lol
For you!
Be honest, every time you stick your hand in there you’ve got thoughts of that massive centipede in the back of your head. That thing is huge!
Yes its terrifying!!! :D but so cool nonetheless
The death of the pancake slug at the fangs of the centipede really made me feel tragedy…. Its little eyes poking out under its mantle 🥺😭 a moving tale needs moments like this !!
I would love to see you add in a small clan of vampire crabs and maybe some type of small berry plant for some fruit creatures could eat.
Noted!! Will try ;)
That thing creeped me out too😂
