    Amanda being thrown in the needle pit shows a crucial difference between the two Jigsaws: she briefly lost control of her first game, while John has perfectly executed every game so far 📝👀

    • @tiffanym7615

      Ehh, if Amanda getting tossed in the pit is her losing control of the game, then Police Guy beating up John that bad in this counts as him losing control too, I'd say. He also lost control of his game in SAW10 (the only example I can recall off the top), so he hasn't been infallible. They're both great at jumping back from the unforeseeable quickly though, neither letting those things keep them back from finishing up the games. Give my girl Amanda some credit lol

    • @MANICATTACKS
      @MANICATTACKS 2 месяца назад +5

      @@tiffanym7615 some of us havent seen all the series so careful about spoilers! 😂 i thought about John getting beat up but that was incorporated into the game as a possible/likely outcome; Amanda getting forced into a trap was just an unnecessary and unanticipated injury... though it WAS Amanda's first game, she also had John's assistance, so on balance her error stands out
      And thats good! Amanda not being a flawless genius is interesting, cos in the future the difference in their game styles may become an important point that helps catch them

    • @Jay-gurl
      @Jay-gurl Месяц назад +2

      It isn't Amanda's game though. She even say the officer is her first test subject. John planned out the gas house and only put Amanda in there to be sure people followed the rules and to keep the kid safe.
      Not her game. So John messed up not realizing she'd get thrown into the pit.

    What is funny is Amanda knew where the key was, she knew roughly which location the key would be in since she placed it there herself which is why she got it fairly easily after a few seconds, that was a big hint to her being the mastermind like nobody without prior knowledge would be able to get the key that far down if they didn't know the spot to dig through.

    • @TheCourtsOfLove
      @TheCourtsOfLove 2 месяца назад +5

      Which shows that she didn't intend for anyone to leave at that stage, nobody in a minute would be able to get the key, but she does, luckily her plan succeeds she probably slowed down herself so that he wouldn't reach the door in time.

  • @nilesstark
    @nilesstark 2 месяца назад +38

    Fun Fact 2: Though Addison falls for it, the Hand Trap was in fact made for Gus. The guy that was shot early on. The tape would have hinted at how Gus was known for embezzling money from his company so he would have to reach into box for the key hanging inside to get free. Also in the workshop when Kerry is getting the idea of threatening to destroy John's work, you can see a sketch of the hand trap hanging behind her.

    • @cruelangel8689
      @cruelangel8689 2 месяца назад +13

      And the best thing is, the outside lid of the trap had the key already in the lock. All the person that came in the room needed to do was walk around the case and would see it on the other side. Addison did what Jigsaw figured most would- go right for the case without stopping to inspect everything beforehand. That antidote was a freebie.

    36:54 the arm trap is one of the easier ones to survive. The problem is, by this point in the game, she’s been exposed to so much of that nerve gas, she’s not thinking clearly, and just thinking on the impulse of “get the cure”. She could’ve put just one arm in, and used the other to hold the blades back. She didn’t need to put both arms in or even sacrifice an arm, but again she’s delulu by this point due to the nerve gas

    • @kitkat6442
      @kitkat6442 2 месяца назад +5

      If my memory serves me correctly, I believe in a behind the scenes it showed that there were tubes that only one arm could fit through and that the razors were not able to be seen by the participant. Then again it wasn’t the trap meant for Addison so maybe she could have made it work. She was supposed to have the waffle iron trap but they weren’t able to film it.
      The tubes briefly shows on screen but I missed it as well and always thought the same as you until the behind the scenes. During her scene you see a lock with the key in it at the top center of the screen. Thats her way out. If she walked around the box, she would’ve gotten out.

    Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch! (That's Mark Wahlberg's singing group if you didn't know). Donnie was a member of New Kids On The Block (and Mark for about a year too). Donnie is great in The Sixth Sense and Dreamcatcher as well.

    The fact that the son was in the safe the whole time and John LITERALLY TOLD HIM that he could just wait and he would find his son in a SAFE and secure state…one of the best plot twists in movie history

    The reason they did it that way with John kramer jigsaw is because the saw films were only supposed to be a TRILOGY that’s why John was supposed to die but then they decided to extend them

    My view of this franchise is as follows. 1, 2, and 3 are good. 4 and 5 are not good. 6 is surprisingly solid. 7 may be the worst of them. 8 is forgettable. 9 has potential but doesn't live up to it. And X is shockingly good for the 10th film in a horror franchise.

    Hey, dudes!!! Saw series is literally my husband's favorite horror series. We own them all. If you guys like the first two, you're gonna dig the 3rd one. If you guys hang in there, a lot of these questions you're already asking will get answered. If you don't take the series too seriously and try to take them apart too bad, it's a fun ride. I don't want to spoil anything so that's all I'll say. Sorry for the late comment, been enjoying the festivities today. 🤘

    Crazy part is Marcus was the wildcard. If he wasn't one of the unfortunate people trapped in that house I believe the rest of them would have worked together and possibly gotten out.
    Obviously Amanda didn't think Marcus would be nuts and had to spend the entire movie making sure Daniel didn't die or the entire game would have been for nothing.
    I think Jigsaw realized that there was no saving Eric at the end which is why he took him to the house. You can't say he didn't try 🤷🏿‍♂️.
    But that's how it goes in these Saw movies. The man literally says I want to play a game. And instead of thinking rationally people just freak out and end up losing.

    The main reason why Eric is divorced is because he was sleeping around with Kerry, who was also his partner. That is bad enough but the fact that Eric is just a terrible person with a huge anger problem, a chip on his shoulder and… he’s a corrupt police officer. The divorce also caused a rift between father and son.
    Eric is just overall crappy person in general. Despite his flaws, he DOES genuinely and truly loves his son. I just hate that Daniel had to pay the price because of his father’s bullshit and got caught into something he shouldn’t have.

    1st off, love the Chiefs rep!
    2nd, amazing movie & i love the whole ending reveal with the time delay, if I hadn't watched the film prior, i would've been just as shocked as well. However, adding Amanda into the games made it predictable she was a "part of" it. Having her reveal herself at the end would've had me guessing "wait, do i know her?" Overall great movie, they almost had me!

    YES!!! This made my Saturday night. Kicking back with some coolers and pizza. This is my favourite Saw movie out of all of them, because the plot twist was so unexpected. The fact that his son was there all along was genius. One of the few sequels that might beat out the original. But if you think this was gory, just wait until you see what kind of traps they come up with in the later movies.
    Just wanna add, even though the traps in the later movies are much more gruesome, I think that the needle in a haystack is probably one of the worst things I've seen. I could literally FEEL the needles in me whenever I watch that scene.
