Thanks for the vicarious thrill of sharing your experience at Flock with us. Love the yarns that you bought, wishing you so much enjoyment knitting them up!
It is always so much fun to listen to someone be so enthusiastic about what they love. Your yarn choice is amazing and can’t wait to see the garments they become. Happy knitting 💚🧶💚
I can hear how much your enjoyed the festival. It's actually (oh my, I can't find the word I am looking for), but I live about 22 miles from Seattle, but I was not there. I hope to see some of the acquired yarn in a project soon ‼The yarn is beautiful.
That was delightful! I've only been to one FibreFest and that was last year (a local-to-me event in Australia) , so it was good to hear your experiences. I'm really excited to go again later in the year, and am building a list of things to look out for too - largely exploring Australian companies & dyers - meanwhile trying to use the things I got last time haha! Looking forward to your next video.
So fun to see your yarn and enjoy the festival through your eyes. I wound up getting sick and couldn’t go after all 😢 The teal yarn is such a beautiful color and will be stunning with your coloring. But the burgundy? Ohhhh - gorgeous! That’s the kind of fiber that will have you smiling the whole time your working on it. Can’t wait to see the FOs!
I'm so sorry you weren't able to go! But yes, the burgundy yarn is incredible. I keep forgetting how stunning it actually is and then getting re-surprised by it when I see it.
That was me! I'm the woman with blue hair who came up and talked to you! I am NOT shy. ;) And, yes, I had to chuckle because you had already bought the beautiful yarn for the citrine and it was very close in color to the yarn in the original pattern. It will be gorgeous! Where are you from in Northern CA? I live in SF and the weather here is definitely cooler than Seattle, but it was fine. I went up on Thursday and then, on Friday, took the ferry to Bainbridge Island to visit La Mercerie and The Lamb and Kid. I met many knitters on the ride over and had a glorious lunch (and a massive Mango Margarita) at a Mexican restaurant on the island. The weather on the ride over and back was perfection! Then, after Flock, I went to the Indie Untanbled Knitting Retreat at Mt Rainier for several days. It was FABULOUS. What a fun fun trip! Anyway, it was nice to meet you!
It was so nice to meet you! And I really love the blue hair 😁 I am working on my own shyness but am very grateful for people like you who are able to help us shy people out of our bubbles. I live up in Lake County which is too far from the ocean for the nice Bay Area weather unfortunately, so Seattle felt amazing. The funny thing is that I’ve seen podcasters from Seattle talking about the weather that weekend and complaining that it was too hot, so I guess it really depends on what you’re used to 🤷🏻♀️ Your entire trip sounds magical! I am seriously so jealous!
@@AKnitterObsessed, Oooh! My aunt lives in Clearlake. I visited that area often when I was growing up. My uncle owned a pharmacy there until he was killed in a flight, quite a few years ago. Anyway, it was great to meet you! Keep on, keeping on!
Good for you to stay in your budget. Yarn festivals are dangerous! It sounds like Flock was a great experience. The yarns you bought are beautiful and I look forward to seeing them knit up.
Beautiful choices! I liked seeing the variety of dyers you bought from that I’m not familiar with. I do recognize Plies and Hellhounds though! In case you didn’t know, she has a very enjoyable RUclips podcast too 🙂
I kept an eye out for you at Flock, but I didn’t see you. I also got some DK weight from Ewe 2 yarn and it is so soft!!! I might make it into another Tolsta Tee.
You know what is funny. I saw you. Thought "huh, I recognize her, how do I know her?! I should say something!" But my brain was so overwhelmed by all the amazing people that I just kept not saying things to people all day Saturday. 😅🙈 My goal is to find a better way of actually connecting with people next year. Lol
Oh dang! I really should have said something. I was feeling braver by the end of the day but the whole event was a little overwhelming at first haha. Connecting more with people is also my goal for the next one.
Too funny about your shyness and meeting Melissa...I think she claims to be very shy and socially awkward (which I totally relate to) so it's great that you summoned the courage with her especially!
I'm really glad I did too! She is really the absolute nicest person. I'm looking forward to going back to Flock next year and really working on being brave enough to make more connections with people, because the community is really the best part of this hobby ❤️
So glad you got the sweater yarn 🧶 I am sure it will be beautiful

Fun video!! And thank you so much for shopping with us!! ❤️
Thanks! I definitely plan to buy more yarn for you. Your colors are to die for!
I stumbled across your video searching for Flock Festival videos and I’m so glad that I stopped and watched it. I look forward to more of your videos.
Thank you so much!

So happy you said "Hi" and were able to chat with Sarah and I! Hope you enjoyed Seattle and come back next year.

Cool review. Gorgeous yarns you snagged. Love your channel 🥰

To be fair, I might have gone just a liiiittle bit over my initial budget 😬 but it could have been a lot worse so I'll take that as a win.
It sounds like you had so much fun! Hopefully one year I’ll get to see you there🤓
Heck yes! That would be so much fun and I hope we can make that happen!

Ooh, good tip. I'll be sure to check out her channel!

What podcast are u referring to ...Melissa?
Melissa creates the podcast String Things by Mel. If you like knitting podcasts, hers is one of the best
Who doesn’t want to listen to somebody “ ramble” on about yarn!
Why don;t you make socks with sock yarn? Nevermind…your other sock yarn is for socks…
