Garb's and I take you to 5 of our favourite dessert places around Auckland. Get your sweet tooth ready, this episode will give you a solid dose of your daily sugar intake.
Location 1 - Elisabeth - coffee & dessert
A spot Garb's has recommended. A cozy store located in Kingsland with a good assortment of counter desserts as well as hot drinks.

Location 2 - Circus Circus
A classic dessert location for late night cakes, they also make delicious cafe style food too.

Location 3 - House of Chocolate Dessert Cafe & Cakery
We go back to Garbo's hood to try one of her favourite desserts, Eton Mess. I've never had this before so see how I react to it!

Really cool spot but you might want to book your seat early, It is a small store and they can only accommodate so many. Make sure you try the macaroons and ice creams!

Another great place to hang out, Miann is every chocolate lovers dream come true.

Circus circus is my go to! They have amazing chocolate fondue's, cheesecakes and my favourite peanut butter cake in a jar 😍😍😍 also have you been to Frasers just down the road from Circus? The have amazing desserts there too "best banoffe cheesecake" you must try hahaha
Ooooo wow peanut butter cake jar sounds bomb! Yen normally gets the cheese cake. Been to Fraser's lots too but they are more like a restaurant than a desert place now so left then off the list. But yes they still make great cheese cakes too 😁 you sound like you've spent time hanging out these spots too Harriet 👌
@@PeterandYen I knooow 😭😭😭 I miss the old rustic look and feel of Frasers, it's more fine dinning now. But I still go in for their brioche donuts and cheesecakes (local eats) 😂😂 Milse is definitely on my 'must try' list!

Oooo guys - dessert. Already salivating and we've not seen anything yet!!! Carrot cake is Corinne's absolute favourite - that portion size though - lethal. We agree - raspberry in a dessert adds a great flavour and dimension. Miann looks a very decadent place - 👍🙂

Hey hangry yeah the rocher ball was really good. But I enjoyed that bombe Alaska and macaroon even more milse is just an A+ location especially if you have a sweet tooth 😁👍 I don't really get sugar rushes so I have no idea what stages someone would go through but garbo might 😂

Ah carrot cake... had a funny story about that... we had our friends coming over to Malaysia, and was shocked how Malayisia's traditional "carrot cake" looks/taste like (basically made of turnips), and did not find a single bit of (orange) carrot in there :P

I got so confused about that carrot cake growing up hahahah (I'm also from Malaysia btw) but yea that it was turnip or raddish no actual carrot hehe then seeing how different western carrot cakes were. Oh my goodness yes so much dessert @.@ We had to split this one over 2 days because it was too much sugar for all of us hahaha. I was behind the camera and Garbo's bf came along too :) Circus Circus is great, really big and unique place. Milse also really nice but such a tiny place hahah. We've been going to both for years!
