    Cheers.

@@gardengatesopen Stop whining. In a way Bobby is correct. If Opal Direct goes back to cutting two thousand dollar stones next week it will be a let down. You can use a Dremel to cut stones. Right? Yet he takes two months to figure out how to cut stone lol. He had to cut the end off to make stone symmetrical. It's not rocket science.

I worked in a recording studio, editing voice tracks 8 to 15 hours per day for over a decade. Watching you cut and polish stones reminds me of it. When you're focused so intensely, and with such great care and enjoyment for the process, day turns into night in what feels like only a moment. I imagine the process you go through is a medatative one that brings you a sense of accomplishment and enjoyment at the same time.

Lovely. Everything about this video is just lovely. It reminds me of the first black opal direct video I saw, about six months ago. It showed up in my feed, and the gems looked gorgeous, so I decided to take a look. It was mesmerizing. The beautiful process unfolded, narrated by the lovely, gentle voice of an artist who was confident, yet vulnerable; gifted, yet humble; with a love for what he was doing that was obviously soul-deep. Then, at the end of the tender, introspective video, my jaw dropped as this same man broke into ridiculous dances. Fan for life.

Made me think about how my grandfather taught me about being a craftsman. Especially keeping to traditional techniques and using some of his personal tools. Every time I see how you use the lighter and burner for the dobb ? Stick . It takes me back to his shop and I can still remember how he used his well worn speed square and I can taste the pencil that he would wet on his tounge before marking the wood. Before nodding at me with a grin of satisfaction and pride of being able to pass on his skills attention to detail and work ethic. Well done.
