    Lane Johnson played incredibly. Technically Bosa did not get a sack on the day because they counted Hurts as an RB during his near safety.

    That 2nd down at the on the eagles own goal line was about the only missed assignment. Either lane got confused on who to block or Jalen misread the matchup. Bosa was unguarded and almost got the safety.

    • @gasoline3597
      @gasoline3597 Год назад

      I wouldn't say he missed the assignment. It looked like an option read, but Bosa played it well. Hurts should have handed it off to Sanders, but I think Hurts thought Bosa would be caught up with Stoll and that would allow Hurts to run it. It's similar to what they did to Micah against the Cowboys. They left him open but Micah's hesitation on the option read allowed that play to work.

    • @stevebabiak6997
      @stevebabiak6997 Год назад

      No, on that play Lane pulled to the left and Stoll was the one that the coaches had blocking Bosa. I call that a stupid play design, just like Shanahan having a TE blocking Reddick. Put might on the opponents star to make sure any damage from that star is minimal.

    The best offensive linesman in either team for the day was Mailata. Daylight second. After Bosa was rag-dolled by Mailata, Bosa chose to line up against the All-pro Johnston for the rest of the game. That says is all!
    The only OLine player with a higher PFF grade for the day was Dickerson, but he did not finish the game. Mailata and Seumalo were the only two to play every snap.
    And once Sirianni decided to ditch the stuttering passing and go with the run game, 3 of the 4 running TDs were down Highway 68.
    Mailata smashed them!

    Lane is backing up so far of course Bosa isn’t getting a sack because it’s obvious he is trying to contain hurts. If you look at the rush :27 he bullies Lane all the way to Hurts. Lane isn’t doing anything special but playing to his QB strength and allowing him to practically rush in free because he knows Jurts can scramble out.
