Astounding; why you aren’t all over social media and getting more hits is beyond me but the hits you are getting show that the people appreciate you including me.
Look at the people who are all over SM & you have your answer. I can’t listen to more than 5 seconds of any of it. But it is what it is. Thanks for the support though!
@@louiepalmerdrums yes so true 100 percent; anyway keep up,the good work, your technique videos have helped me a lot in my own playing👍😊 and a great take on Weckl’s ‘In Five’ here love it.
@@jazzpianoman01 great!!!
@@louiepalmerdrums yes it’s all about chops and all trying to play faster than the other guys etc on Social Media save for a few good modern crop of players like Chris Coleman/Tony Royston Jnr/Carter Beauford and yourself of course, but other than that it’s just not musical, that’s why I’m always listening the greats of yesteryear
I watched this! Super nit-picky feedback time!
AAA Audio and video quality - jealous!
Playing is super solid - I like the spaces between the phrases during the blowing section.
Drums and cymbals sound amazing. I wanted to hear the high tom more though - the tom phrases felt like they were comprised of all mid and low toms. I missed the higher one.
The left hand is so busy but I'm not hearing a lot of the ghost notes mix wise- I wanted to hear all those super clean notes. I could hear them during the solo but I noticed them being missing a bit overall. I have good headphones cranked too.
I hope Weingart sees this!!!
You're a fucking great player!! I still think we should do a drum duet video. One day! Traditional grip fusion style drumming overload!!
The snare drum in general could be a bit more present in the mix. Superb playing though. Love his videos, and yours for that matter!
Ha, thanks Steve! This was just a quick mix for IG but thought I'd put on YT too. Interestingly, I can hear the snare fine but it's hard to mix for all devices and my mixing chops aren't good enough anyway! Thanks for your kind comments...coming from you it's a compliment!
Two of my favourites! Steve Holmes and Louie Palmer! I was talking to Steve Weignart just a few weeks ago. Should have mentioned this to him!
I have post the "ghost notes" remark as well in other Louie's videos. His left hand is phenomenal, but in all his videos I can barely hear those GN, and that's when the rest of the band makes silence. I have good headphones and speakers too, so it must be a mix issue.
everything is beautiful. Technique, sound, precision.. and this traditional ! love it!
Thanks!!
Louie, thanks for all your hard work and talent to bring such great content to us!
