Never get tired of listening to you play
Thanks!
Awesome grooves and fantastic playing Louie. Some from the old set-up too. Wow so inspirational!! Awesome clip Louie with Tom Scott playing "Chunk O' Funk" (Vinnie Colaiuta: studio album Desire) ... love that tune, Vinnie plays so much great stuff in it. Thanks for the videos .... such beauties.
Thanks, John!
Thanks Louie.. Your on line teaching site is a great one. And you're showing why that is here.
Thanks, Mike! Appreciate it!
I remember the old practicing vids you used to post on HOD forums. Yellow snare I believe. Great stuff!
Ha! Thanks!
Strong and clean Mr.👍👍😎
Very Inspiring Mr Palmer
Brilliant.
My hero =)
Hi Louie, firstly, incredible playing, and secondly, if you wouldn't mind, or someone else, could you please help me understand what you/he is playing from around 3:52 to 4:15, I get that there are moving accents, but I just can't figure it out!
Thanks :)
There's a lot happening in those 23 seconds. Can you be any more specific?
@@mikepostdrums the stuff between the ride and snare
Maybe its the weckl-like swish triplets with the accent on the ride? With 16th note triplet feel?
All you need to match your symmetrical setup is the Offset Eclipse Double Pedal...
At the beginning it looks like the snare is almost to your chest lol
I didn't see any Practice.
"Practice that sounds good isn't Practice"
👊
That's true
Not necessarily. I know plenty of drummers that endlessly practice exercises and work out of books for hours at a time and they sound terrible. Not enough drummers practice stringing ideas together and practice 'speaking' in all the different note rates - that means grooves and vocabulary. There has to be a balance, yes, but if you practice hours of exercises only then all you'll be good at is playing those exercises.
Jim Cheseborough I GUESS IT'S CALLED WORKING ON SOMETHING THAT YOU CAN'T DO MESSING UP TIL YOU FINALLY GET IT TOGETHER AND EXPANDING NEW IDEAS FROM WHAT YOU CAN ALREADY PLAY
Jim Cheseborough Its very sympathetic that you misinterpret the saying of many drummers that Practise should sound not sound good...Practise has many phases learning new things..cleaning it...jamming in the music or metronome..sometimes we have to close eyes and try to play what we feel...Dont misinterpret my brother Jim.Because its for me too since I also never sound bad when i practise.
Louie palmer brother you are a great inspiration and your playing clearly shows it. You dont have to explain it so much. You are awesome brother. God bless you more. Always be watching your videos and lessons.
