Blk Americans: Hot tea & honey, chicken noodle soup(literally), castor oil for bile movements, aspirin, ginger ale, & rub anything stinkin on u to help. Treatment always smelled bad😁
Lmaooo, that is so very true. The smelling or tasting, I guess the better it works
My (Korean) dentist said, when we were talking about why Novacaine tastes so bad if it gets on your tongue, "If medicine tastes good, it won't work".
@@AdirondackRubyhahah my dad has sworn by NyQuil My whole life for any sort of cold or sore throat, etc. but it HAS to be the green one, because “it tastes worse than the red, so it HAS to work better, medicine isn’t supposed to taste good” - tell that to my toddler, turned six year old 😂😂😂
Oh my gosh. Vicks vapor rub....for everything 😂😂😂😂

On my mom's side of the family, it was what we called Belly Soup. Chicken Broth, Ginger, and Rice. For my dad, a big glass of Ginger Ale fixes everything. So I guess it's all about ginger, regardless of what relative I ask.
Lol! Ginger ale is definitely on the list of things for my culture as well! 😂
My family is from Jamaica. Bush tea cures EVERYTHING 🇯🇲 ❤
Loved me some cerasee tea growing up!
Hot green tea with honey and lemon and chicken noodles soup

Ok I am a new follower (just found you today) and I was here scrolling through your videos to find SOMETHINGGGG to make me settle the thought in my mind that you were from the Caribbean lolll.
I knew I heard an accent in your crochet boho locs video. 🙌🏾
😆😎😆😎
Hey my Caribbean sister! 🥰♥️🥰♥️🥰
I’m from Trinidad and for us it’s bush tea as well!
♥️♥️♥️🤗🤗🤗
@@gjophil7 lol! I love that! Glad you are here and thanks for the support 😂😂🫶🏾
Cerasee tea is nasty. My mom would either go for that or bizzy tea. 🤢 I hate them both. Worse yet, one time I went to the doctor and he asked if my mom had given me a home remedy because he didn't want to prescribe something that might interact with it and cause issues; I told him she made me drink that tea and he said it was a good as anything he could prescribe! 🤢 I asked him to please give me a pill because I knew it was the only thing that would save me from that nasty tea.
Lol! Not you skipping the herbs for western medicine. 😂😂😂 I feel you girl, I skip that tea all the time!
@@DuchessBraids Western medicine for the sun. Every time!
Alka Seltzer
Wow, this is new! 😊
That’s funny. I haven’t heard people say this a lot, I mean you do see people do it in old school movies for hangovers. However, it is THE BEST cure for heart burn, I mean almost instant. And when I read the ingredients I was shocked it had an Nsaid pain reliever in it, so now it makes sense to me why it works for not only stomach issues, but also body aches and hangovers, etc. it sure tasted awful, but for that instant pain relief it gives you for heartburn I’ll take it happily!
What symptoms/illnesses do you personally ACTUALLY use it for, that it’s helped?
I’m from Trinidad and it was drink some tea and or that bitter thing to clean you out!!! 😂😂😂😂❤😊
Lol! Yes I believe the Cerasee tea is a Caribbean thing!
@@DuchessBraids yess yesss!! I was drawing a black!!! 😁🤣🤣
Well still in Jamaica today. The remedy for everything is to drink some tea:
Money problems
Stress
Sickness
Relationship problems
Spirituality
Pain etc
Thanks for sharing I liked your videos and I subscribe to your channel and I am ordering the tea 👍🏼
I thought you were from the Caribbean I could hear your accent! 🎉 my culture is from a mixture of black and native in a village where sassafras, horehound, Robutussin( the dark sweet kind; no longer exists😢), castor oil, chicken noodle soup, sliced onion in my socks at night time, and potatoes under the arm pits, and plenty of rest were the remedies I grew up on.
Hey girl, heyyyyyy! Love your channel❤ I know you girls in the comments are all island girls and I am thinking about this tea you speak of. However I am from The D! DETROIT, and here Vernors cures everything, from a headache, chest pain, acid reflux, gas, cramps, shot, stabbed, beat down, etc!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Its really good pop! Its still makes me feel better. Now I just drink one on the way to the ER!! Lol ❤❤😂😂
Queen that cerasee tea is the TRUTH!!! A1 and not even a island chick. Born and raised in MIA. But that is beneficial for some many things. Great detox 😊
Good morning and great conversation piece here.
When we were younger, our parents definitely would push the staying hydrated ( “Get you some orange juice”) and “lay down”;😂 however my mom would not hesitate to take that trip to urgent care or the doctors as well to go the “traditional medicine route” if necessary.
lol and can’t forget the ginger ale either that was a classic from grandma
Thank you for sharing 🎉🎉👸🏿
No problem hon!
Rest and water, in fact my man tells me to stay coveres up for a few days.
Lol! That’s funny! They come with the least help 😂😂
😂😂 right?
Gargle aspirin. Hated doing it, but it worked.
