It looks a bit different from the Aviemore Centre I first visited in 1966 soon after it was opened! I skied on the dry slope, ice skated and curled, swam, went to the cinema, had my hair done, bought a jumper there, and later visited Santa Claus Land. I married a local lad who built the Freedom Hotel in the centre, but we now live overseas so it’s great to see this video. Thank you.
Great wee video, but you've made me homesick, as I worked there as a chef a few years ago. Now back in NZ but looking forward to visiting when back in Scotland.
Had to stay in the McDonald resort for two nights when the snow gates were closed coming south some years back which the company paid for and the bill was well over £300...was some trip.
We have stayed here and didn't like it. All previous years we stayed in The Ravenscraig on Grampian Road. Jill and Jonathan owned it then. We now holiday in Lochinvar. Been going here since I was a wee lass.
