Hi Kevin - thanks for this video! Is it possible to walk up to the gondola top restaurant? I'm asking because we are a group of 3 travelers with different fitness levels. My idea is that the fit one walks uphill, while the unfit ones take the gondola, then meet in the Nevis Range Restaurant and take the gondola back down together. At least on gondola videos it looks as if there is a walkable path all along (except for a hairpin curve). Your advice would be much appreciated!

I had a brief stay (2 nights) quite a few years ago; stopped at the Grant Arms Hotel with my wife and daughter, must have been in the early 2000s. Unfortunately I left with a poor impression of the place after being kept awake both nights by local yobs using the main road as a personal race track. Walking around the town during the day everyone just looked quite miserable and browbeaten. Was glad to be away and have never been back. I hope things have improved since then because it was such a nice looking town and the surrounding area is beautiful.

My grandmother lived there and I've visited often. She passed away but whenever we come to Scotland (from Utah-U.S.A) Prestwick is our home base. Coming this fall! Can't wait. It's a great little town. Wonderful bakeries, great fish suppers and little shops. The beach is wonderful to stroll along.
