F...ing EXCELLENT! That drunk dude was channeling some ancient God, in a language dead-for-eons. I am humbled and overwhelmed and put in on the tube system for a second listen. Those posting smugly, check this out again, without the attitude. This is the voice of GOD!
I hear this over and over and over and over again and it feels so worm, ao close to home, so relaxing, so loveble... Congrats, old Warrior, Respect !!!
Vasco Apolonio straight! “Lo there do I see my father; Lo there do I see my mother and my sisters and my brothers; Lo there do I see the line of my people, back to the beginning. Lo, they do call to me, they bid me take my place among them, in the halls of Valhalla, where the brave may live forever.” Rest In Peace good sir!
Woh...what the hell did I just hear and see! I don't really know why but I loved this! We all just heard a frigging ancient norse dialect forgotten by time. This guy is just cool to the extreme! I have replayed this over and over. Rock on you blond viking!
Think about it ! He was 23 when he first heard and probably learned to sing and play this song.Age...destroys the body but NOT the Soul which resonates this song just the same way it did 47 years ago !
Well done old man, well done. Your version really touched me. So pure, so honest. Gonna open a bottle of red wine and listen to your version for the rest of the night.
I could listen to this for hours, the old man has learned something, realle, really one of the best hey joe in a special mood and sorrowness. I’d like to raise a glas of whisky with him!
What a lovely person... so sorry to read below that he passed away. There is nothing better in the world than doing something you love, and he played very very well. Hope you meet Jimi up there!!
I'll be seventy in four years just wish I could play the guitar like this gentleman RIP my friend we both liked good music. I will see you some time in the future and we can talk about music.
lol...the snort in the beginning sets the stage perfectly for the following compilation of mostly unintelligible vocal sounds....I love it! You can feel his passion alive and kickin'!
Obviously man had his birthday and they performed. Might not be top of the range but was propably really big moment for the man and we should respect that. He went out and played. That is far more than moaners here. It is easy to criticize online, but this man is star here.
Nice cover of Hey Joe, better than most kids half his age could play or perform. He's old enough to have probably seen Jimi in concert. Respect for the old man, we'll all be lucky to live to 70, let alone, play Hendrix's music!
Man some of these comments... This dude was rockin out in his prime before many of us were even a dropped load. Look at him 70 years old still out there rockin, yeah not in his prime but when the last time your 70 year old grandfather gig'd out.. Give this guy credit.
Fuckin brilliant man.My dad used to play hey joe on a cream strat and I would always ask him to play it whatever the mood was it always made me happy. The lead singer did a great job
This is the greatest music video ever! Old man doing Hey Joe. Birthday party with cake. Fans dancing. Belly dancers. BLUE TARP AS A BACKDROP. Bartender filling pitchers. Drummer pointing at camera. Ozzy glasses. Fucking awesome!!
I agree with why the hell be negative maybe because I'm 52 been a guitar player singer since I was 12 played shows all over whole state oh mi. give me the respect for other musicians especially the elderly when I see an older boy get up like this it brings a tear of joy to my eye I thought it was whip ass I seen sanatana at soaring eagle casino in mt.pleasent mi. a couple years back outside concert he walked on stage white suit and hat sun was setting shined right in his face he had black sunglasses on I had to keep my sunglasses on because I had tears running down my face.. at the end of concert his wife walked up on stage he took her hand and off they went.. and pushing 70 years old.. that's where its at this ole boy rocks as with his band
great cover, would love to hear more- you have a gift- you could be a star- you have a distinctive voice nobody like you- Bob Dylan had it and you have I too- your voice brings the wisdom that only time can tell. Not many people are like no one else and good at it.You're not singing it you're feeling it-
Yes a lot people don't know the difference between a good singer and a good vocalist. Hendrix was a good vocalist, Dylan was and Jagger are good vocalists. Paul Rodgers and Freddie Mercury were good singers (actually great singers).
DuckTalesWooHoo1987 Yeah, and the truly amusing part is what Jagger said many decades ago... something to the effect that if he was still playing Satisfaction when he was 60 he obviously was being satisfied... he's way past that point & he's still belting it out... I could only guess that he's never going to be satisfied... or he's over extended himself and still trying to paying his bills... lol
I'm damned near 56 years old and the vision my wife gave to me is that can see me sitting in a rocking chair on our front porch in our latter years with me having a Stratocaster draped across my lap cranking out tunes with young kids riding by on their bikes or in their cars saying " Listen to that old dude cranking it out. Awesome ". I have the same type of vision except when I'd catch somebody gawking at me I'd ask " What in the hell are you looking at, rubberneck ?? " Yeah, I'd be the cranky old man down the street that can play guitar. lol
Triple Bravo! This is simply great. Why? Because it is perfect in three ways: 1) execution of the music; 2) spirit of the music; 3) necessary disinterest in entertaining or pandering to stereotypes of the other musicians and styles. Great not because of age relationships but because of intentions.
Hahah @1:01! You can tell he enjoyed his life, had some fun for sure! Gone a bit too soon, passing at 74 (?), oh well, R.I.P., buddy! See yuh in Rock'n'Roll Heaven!
+Bourne Accident & you did not notice the denture sticked in the strings? pay attention, fella, pay attention.... Btw, R.I.P. old man, & respect, you were great to the bones.
+Bourne Accident & you did not notice the denture sticked in the strings? pay attention, fella, pay attention.... Btw, R.I.P. old man, & respect, you were great to the bones.
+ZappaBlues ....... to have lived through the 50's and the 60's,. ...and obviously as a muso to boot was pretty rough on the body! - they say if you can remember anything about the 50s and 60s you couldnt have been there! :)
You are never older than you want to be... My gramps bought himself a 1946 Harley UL Flathead bobber when he turned 75. . Rock on!
F...ing EXCELLENT! That drunk dude was channeling some ancient God, in a language dead-for-eons. I am humbled and overwhelmed and put in on the tube system for a second listen.
Those posting smugly, check this out again, without the attitude. This is the voice of GOD!
I hope to be able to celebrate my 70th birthday the same way one day - touching and a great performance. May he rest in peace.
Lo, they do call to me, they bid me take my place among them, in the halls of Valhalla, where the brave may live forever.”
Rest In Peace good sir!

An increadible voice ! I will seek more audio and video by this guy. I hope there is some.
Woh...what the hell did I just hear and see! I don't really know why but I loved this! We all just heard a frigging ancient norse dialect forgotten by time. This guy is just cool to the extreme! I have replayed this over and over. Rock on you blond viking!
The best feeling singer!
He's really experienced
appreciated
Us oldsters are on the rise. Children of the 60's are over half a decade old, still rocking, and still relevant. Watch Out
Najbolja verzija. Ovaj lik ima više srca/muda/glasa i od originala i od Hendrixa i od svih ostalih obrađivača. 10/10
Think about it ! He was 23 when he first heard and probably learned to sing and play this song.Age...destroys the body but NOT the Soul which resonates this song just the same way it did 47 years ago !
Dana yes, some folks imagine that folks should not play rock music after the age of 35. Well said. Thank you

Who says you can't be cool at 70. This video has almost 2 million hits. The backup band is terrific.
i felt a LOT of soul coming from that man. that is Jimis best song and these guys gave it the best.
This guy got more partying in between 90 and 95 than most of us have gotten in our whole lives
He is 70 here. But yes, he looks like 95.
Well done old man, well done. Your version really touched me. So pure, so honest. Gonna open a bottle of red wine and listen to your version for the rest of the night.

Rocking to a full house! Love It! SlappyG in Tennessee.
lol...the snort in the beginning sets the stage perfectly for the following compilation of mostly unintelligible vocal sounds....I love it! You can feel his passion alive and kickin'!
I like this, The lead singer has kept the band in a natural groove. Very smooth.

You mean old enough to have inspired Jimi Hendrix. That is Peter Green
This is authentic art. I love it.
Man some of these comments... This dude was rockin out in his prime before many of us were even a dropped load. Look at him 70 years old still out there rockin, yeah not in his prime but when the last time your 70 year old grandfather gig'd out.. Give this guy credit.

This is the greatest music video ever! Old man doing Hey Joe. Birthday party with cake. Fans dancing. Belly dancers. BLUE TARP AS A BACKDROP. Bartender filling pitchers. Drummer pointing at camera. Ozzy glasses. Fucking awesome!!

Yes a lot people don't know the difference between a good singer and a good vocalist. Hendrix was a good vocalist, Dylan was and Jagger are good vocalists. Paul Rodgers and Freddie Mercury were good singers (actually great singers).
Sir Babz: trool?
What's odd is that people are laughing about this guy being 70 and doing this but Mick Jagger is actually 73 and still doing this.
DuckTalesWooHoo1987 Yeah, and the truly amusing part is what Jagger said many decades ago... something to the effect that if he was still playing Satisfaction when he was 60 he obviously was being satisfied... he's way past that point & he's still belting it out... I could only guess that he's never going to be satisfied... or he's over extended himself and still trying to paying his bills... lol
I don't care what anybody says Hey Joe best cover on this playlist is the best Hey Joe
good job sir and god bless you my friend 👍
I'm damned near 56 years old and the vision my wife gave to me is that can see me sitting in a rocking chair on our front porch in our latter years with me having a Stratocaster draped across my lap cranking out tunes with young kids riding by on their bikes or in their cars saying " Listen to that old dude cranking it out. Awesome ". I have the same type of vision except when I'd catch somebody gawking at me I'd ask " What in the hell are you looking at, rubberneck ?? " Yeah, I'd be the cranky old man down the street that can play guitar. lol
This is by far the BEST!!! dam cover and version I have ever herd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stoned2072 lmaooo
Seriously he sounds a bit like an old black bluesman.
Glad he got his 5 minutes of Fame and Glory. Great and tight backup band. Lotta soul in that singing. Thanks for posting.
When he sang "§∆#±€°kkOHH-HH..." I felt that.
Triple Bravo! This is simply great. Why? Because it is perfect in three ways: 1) execution of the music; 2) spirit of the music; 3) necessary disinterest in entertaining or pandering to stereotypes of the other musicians and styles. Great not because of age relationships but because of intentions.
Wow, I love this! Respect ❤️ I really like a honest performance, just people making great music. That's what it's all about.
Magnificent! These gentlemen nailed it! Very authentic! 👍👍👍
It's great to see something like this!
Bloody good playing is perfect and tight good group thanks , now the pusher song
He can be a great black metal singer !! xD
its more likely that he thinks black metal is garbage and far from being music at all
Proving, once again, that music is timeless and for all.
I think this is a quite great version.
graet graet and great
I love this - RIP Jürgen
