🔹The album Tristopia by the band Yottagon could be described as an amalgamation of contrasting ideas, maybe even contradictory in their core, and the attempt to overcome those. This attempt is done not by compromising and meeting in the centre between two extremes, but through finding the bigger picture in which all of those are contained.
🔹This is paralleled by the band's writing process for this album: While the starting point of the compositions originate from individual members, the final version is always the product of hours of experimenting, negotiating and overthrowing ideas until the members' shared vision of the music emerges. While this constructive workflow does induce a general optimism towards the creative potential of a democratic process, the album's title, that had already been chosen some time ago, seems like a fitting comment on the present global situation.
🔹Tristopia addresses the sometimes harsh and seemingly grim reality of the world we live in, as well as the question of how we decide to deal with it.
🔹The opening track “Beginning”, named for being the first piece of music the members performed together, allows for an overview of what to expect within the length of a radio-
friendly seven minutes: geometrical-sounding rhythmic structures, dreamy and eerie
soundscapes, cheesy saxophone lines and the raw force of life itself disguised as a fifteen-second break-part. The borderline absurd, suite-like song “Unknown Love of Escalators” plays humorously with a forward stomping, puzzle-like form of composition that never looks back to its origins, while the song “Hydra” pays tribute to the beauty of conceptual frameworks, repetition, and some guy from ancient Greece you might have heard of before. The last remaining piece called “Hall”, has been called “ballad tailored for the 21 century” by one of the great minds of our times, who sadly prefers to remain anonymous.
🔹The performance will be a live version of the whole, soon to be released record through the Label Broken & a Logic Records.

🔸 Yottagon խմբի Tristopia ալբոմը կարելի է նկարագրել որպես կոնտրաստային,
երբեմն անգամ իրենց հիմքում հակադիր գաղափարների միաձուլում և դրանք
հաղթահարելու փորձ: Այս փորձն իրագործվում է ոչ թե կոմպրոմիսների կամ երկու ծայրահեղությունների միջինին հանգելու միջոցով, այլ գտնելով շատ ավելի մեծ, իր մեջ այս ամենը համապարփակող պատկեր:
🔸 Այս գաղափարներին զուգահեռվում է ալբոմի ստեղծման պրոցեսը: Կոմպոզիցիաների ստեղծումը սկիզբ է առնում անհատներից, մինչդեռ վերջնական տարբերակը մշտապես արդյունք է համատեղ փորձարկումների, գաղափարային բանակցությունների և հաղթահարումների, մինչև խմբի բոլոր անդամների համար ընդհանուր երաժշտական տեսլականի ձեւավորումը:
🔸 Չնայած այս կոնստրուկտիվ աշխատանքային պրոցեսը դրդում է ընդհանուր լավատեսության դեմոկրատիկ պրոցեսի ստեղծագործական ներուժի նկատմամբ, ալբոմի վերնագիրը, որն արդեն վաղուց էր ընտրված, թվում է թե մեկնաբանում է ներկա գլոբալ իրավիճակը:
🔸 Tristopia-ն անդրադառնում է մեր ապրած աշխարհի երբեմն կոպիտ և թվացյալ
մռայլ իրականությանը, ինչպես նաև այն հարցին, թե մենք ինչպես ենք որոշում դրա հետ վարվել:
🔸 Առաջին գործը կոչվում է «Beginning» («Սկիզբ»), քանի որ սա խմբի անդամների կողմից կատարված առաջին համատեղ երաժշտական ստեղծագործությունն է: Այն թույլ է տալիս մեզ ընդհանուր պատկերացում կազմել, թե ինչ սպասել ռադիոյի ֆորմատին համապատասխան յոթ րոպեների ընթացքում. երկրաչափային հնչողությամբ ռիթմիկ ստրուկտուրաներ, երազկոտ և զարհուրելի հնչյունային լանդշաֆտներ, պարզ ու զգացմունքային սաքսոֆոնային գծեր և կյանքի բիրտ ուժը՝ քողարկված 15 վայրկյանանոց ընդմիջմամբ:
🔸 Ծայրահեղ աբսուրդ, սյուիտանման «Unknown Love of Escalators» երգը («Շարժասանդուղքների անհայտ սերը») հումորային խաղ է քայլերը դեպի
առաջ գցող, գլուխկոտրուկի նմանվող կոմպոզիցիայի ձևի հետ, որը երբեք չի
նայում հետ՝ դեպի իր սկիզբը: Իսկ «Hydra» («Հիդրա. Դիցաբանական օձ»)
կոչվող երգը հարգանքի տուրք է մատուցում կոնցեպտուալ շրջանակների գեղեցկությանը, կրկնողություններին և անտիկ Հունաստանից մի տղայի, ում մասին նախկինում գուցե արդեն լսել եք: Վերջին գործը, որը կոչվում է «Hall» («Արձագանք»), մեր ժամանակների ամենամեծ մտածողներից մեկի կողմից, ով ցավոք ցանկանում է մնալ անանուն, բնութագրվել է որպես «բալլադ՝ հարմարեցված 21-րդ դարին»:
🔸 Այս հեռարձակումն ամբողջ ալբոմի կենդանի կատարման ձայնագրությունն է,
որը լույս է տեսնում Broken & a Logic Records լեյբլում:
