I got charged with 2nd assault in October against my sister. We got into an argument because I got her a job at my job and on my day off she was trying to get me fired. So when I confronted her about it she tried to fight me and I acted out of self defense and grabbed her wrist. My mother separated us and after some more arguing my sister left, called the police and lied. She got a protective order against me but she never showed for court and she and the judge dropped the protective order but I’m still charged with assault x2 and awaiting trial.

get a lawyer to fight the charge, then request an expunction or nondisclosure to clear the charge from showing up on background check in the future depending on your state could be around 180 days for that to be cleared. Search for an attorney that can do both.
So sad sorry your going through that,stay away from her she is trouble and means you no good. I know someone who is currently going through the same with his sister plus brother

What can I do if I have an a&b domestic on my record but all it was was because I grabbed my Exs wrists while she was flailing her arms at me. I didnt want to get hit! It's ridiculous. I didnt realize that was what was on my record until being denied my ltc here in MA. Theres gotta be a way to get rid of this. Ive never done anything like that and im not that kind of person. I hate that its on my record

I they can not. Without first obtaining a warrant for a wiretap, it is not only against the law but also against the Constitution for the police to use a wiretap to intercept private communications.

Someone who isnt me (SWIM, is how i will refer to this person) assaulted someone, complete stranger, no cameras showing the incident, the person saw SWIM run toward SWIMs property but in no way shape or form saw SWIM actually go into the home or even onto the property as there is a row of THICK cedar trees around the property as well as blocking the view from where the assault took place. There is a parking lot right where they would of last been able to see SWIM run (meaning SWIM could have also ran to a car parked there). =*Backstory*= SWIM had his dog with him during the situation. Stranger was upset SWIM didnt pick up dog poo from a no mans land between two fields (waist high grass no need to pick it up) Stranger then threatened to hit SWIMs dog with a stick he had because SWIMS dog was being aggressive because stranger was yelling and screaming at SWIM. SWIMs dog is trained to protect him. SWIMs dog is part shepard, which SWIM then walked away to nearest pole and tied up his dog and walked back over to stranger confronted him about threatening to hit his dog (SWIM HATES ANIMAL ABUSE), stranger then raised his stick in a threatening manner, same stick that he threatened the dog with. SWIM grabbed the stick with one hand and swung with the other and then swung again as the guy stumbled back knocking him unconscious for a few seconds. SWIM went to check on stranger to make sure he was okay BUT when stranger came to he said he was calling the cops so SWIM ran (SWIM has been beaten past recognition by police before, and was scared for his life around officers, has also had evidence planted on him in the past) The stranger then drove to each of the 3 houses in the area around where he lost sight of SWIM (SWIMs mom told stranger we dont have a GSD) The cops then later showed up at SWIMs house asking if we had security cameras. SWIMs mom (who SWIM informed about the situation) was asked if we had a german shepard SWIMs mom said her son does have a dog but its a mutt not a GSD and he hasnt been home for the last 3 days. Cops asked SWIMs mom for SWIMs name (which she gave because she didnt know she could just say no, also didnt want to make it seem like she was hiding something), Cops then asked to walk around the property to make sure no one was hiding out back. Is it likely that SWIM would have a warrant? Is there enough evidence against SWIM?? Would you be able to check for a warrant for SWIM. SWIM doesnt want to goto the police station and get arrested on the spot if he does have one, he wants to prepare first.
To top it off the stranger now stalks SWIMs property walking all around it staring into it which has subsided recently, but for months after the event they would do it multiple times a day (assumedly looking for SWIM) SWIM has the license plate of the stranger (incase they need a restraining order) as SWIMs family is scared that he is planning on doing something to them as revenge.
Whoever this is? I need to meet him!

How long will a minor go to jail for aggravated assault or simple assault? (17 years old by the way)

Hello I need your help please. My son is 21 with schizophrenia bipolar and has been suicidal and homicidal I’ve called the cops at lest 9 times out of week and half with no help. My friend came over knowing my son is really sick he thought he was the president and had trillions of dollars here and he told my friend to leave as she was leaving out the door he barely pushed her to shut door then she stepped off the step and fell and she is pressing charges now cops showed up today with warrant and took him to jail. She said she didn’t want to press charges and was only wanting him to get help and now it’s going to cost 1000$ to bond him out and don’t know what is going to happen when he gos to court. Please help also the day of the incident the cops did take him to the mental hospital. He dose not even know what happen or know he did that.

No it can't be dropped, not in Canada. You can get them dropped by not appearing in court for his trial or whatever.

How would a child stand against assault and battery charges in uk? Due in crown court in the next few weeks
Scenario: my 15 year old niece was in a heated verbal exchange with her teacher so out of frusration she attempted to leave the class to calm down.
Another student (daughter of a police officer) attempted to block the doorway to prevent my niece leaving so my niece pushed her out of the way so that she could leave.
She was then judas punched by the other girl, my niece retaliated to defend her self the other girl came off worse in the ensuing fight.
The father off the other girl pressured the school to expel my niece who has never had a fight in her life and never been in trouble before, she now has to attend a school for troubled kids.
We thought that would be the end of it but the girls father has had my niece arrested to persue assault and battery charges.
Am i right in thinking because the other girl attempted to detain my niece without authority it is classed as illegal detention.
If it is illegal detention is she within her rights to push the other girl out of the way so that she could continue to leave the room?
When the other girl then hit my niece would she also be within her rights to defend herself?
Had the other girl not attempted to detain my niece there would have been no altercation,
My nephew also went to the same school and had informed me that the teachers are very confrontational and that it is common practice for the teachers to get other student to block doorways to detain other students.
