The thing people need to understand is 1) it's generally easier to win close range fights when you have more tanks, because you can easily overwhelm the enemy and 2) sniping is only good if the enemy actually pushes you. There are of course exceptions to this and good players know the difference. Like going to the brawl at the blimp on redshire is garbage because if you want to push, you have to go through a crossfire that's easily covered by snipers. What TD mains often do though is just go to the designated cookie cutter spots provided by wargaming. Sometimes they work out and sometimes they don't. They have no way to know the difference and just sit there because sometimes they do have good games. What good players do is take their non-heavies to meta spots when they know it's possible to win it because more tanks gives a big advantage, like the corner on El Halluf. But they don't go to the brawls like on Redshire because they know it's easily defendable. In the El Halluf game where it started going his way, if his team had not taken the dip in the corner, he wouldn't have been able to do much, and probably would have retreated back to base to shoot the ramp. But since his team went in, it gave him a chance to be a second line tank and get good damage. You don't need armor in these situations, you just need teammates who take point and you are right there ready to help them when the enemy peeks. Average players don't understand finding this balance but it's what makes good players stand out and really helps them push the damage.
This lesson carries over to all tonks. My favorite 'cross-class' times have been when I play a "fat scout", scouting with a heavy. Hard to get those times where it is both needed, and viable, but I love it.
The playing aggressive section opened my eyes. I was grinding with wz-111-1 ft after watching the video and took unusual positions every game. Got 2-5k damage every game. Ended with a 4.5 kd session and a new kill record of 8!
the start of this video is the perfect showcase of grille experience. a lot of dummies look at the stats and say amazing accuracy, amazing aim time. this thing has horrible moving/turning dispersion and although the aim circle is one of the smallest in the game, it is not sufficient when you are handling enemy weakspots at 400 meters plus. WG changed the distribution of shots within the aim circle many patches ago, and grille 15 is one of those tank that suffer the most, because the change made the shell go to the outter part of the circle more often, instead of the center of circle. for a paper tank with no camo and BAD PENETRATION like grille, taking a shot is always risky because very likely you will bounce or miss completely, and then get spotted and die. one of the game i had earlier i fully aimed at the lower plate of the 60tp at 200-250 meters, bounced, i tried again, bounced again, and the 60tp wasn't even moving. with the mod i saw after game that the first shot went high just above the lower plate and hit the upper plate resulted in auto bounce. the second shot went low in to the lower plate and went under the tank, resulted in another auto bounce. normally these unfortunate shot is just RNG and is part of the game. but the problem with the grille is you have no armor, you are essentially driving a tier 5 tank in tier 10 game with no camo. so everytime you risk you feel it, you know you can easily have -600 hp and a kocked out gun and gunner everytime you try to take a shot. i currently do okay in this thing, but it requires a lot of effort and luck, you can't spot for yourself, your turret is not fully rotatable and is at the back. and everyone intitution swtich to HE to knock your gun out every time they shoot. this thing needs a buff. i can spend half the effort but do 3 times as good in the JPE100, E3, Ho-Ri or other TD simply because they mostly have a good combination of three of these: mobility+camo+armor+very good gun. and grille only have one, which is mobility. gun is poor with paper good accuracy but horrible AP and HEAT pen. obj268/5 is considered a bad tank by many people. but it has a turret, good mobility, some armor, has 30mm more AP pen and 60mm more HEAT pen, has DOUBLE the base camo of grille, has 200 more HITPOINST which is more than 10%. and remember, obj 268/5 is considered a ''BAD'' tank. the only down side for the obj in this comparision is the 30meters less view range. and i can guarentee you, you dont care about accuracy (0.35 is not even bad, its good) when you have 395mm HEAT pen which goes through the maus upper plate like not knife through butter (95% chance of penetration). good luck aiming with grilles ''superior'' accuracy.
Grille is like toxic girlfriend whom you love and can't stay away from (long range) but can't stay too close (short range) until she is ready for midway mutual understanding (medium range)
One major problem with the Grille is that it does NOT AT ALL follow the characteristics and trademarks of that particular TD line. This means that all the tricks of the trade and playstyles that you might have picked up while playing Nashorn (good gun, bad speed, bad stealth), Emil (good gun, bad speed, bad stealth), Rheinmetall (good gun, bad speed, good camo, fully rotatable turret) or WT auf Pz IV (good gun, bad speed, good camo, fully rotatable turret) are immediately invalidated once you reach T10. As such you will need to learn to play this specific tank anew which can be very very painful, especially considering all inherent limitations that the vehicle has, like bad dispersion within the aiming circle or the only semi-rotatable turret which can make peaking obstacles very difficult. The armored German TD line is much much more consistent, i.e. when you know how to Ferdinand you basically know how to JgPz. E100.
😂😂😂 That's exactly how it was with me too. When the WT E100 was taken away from me and the Grille came in its place... I hated it so much. and now I love the Grille. One of the best TD in game
Your problem is that Mailand-Commander and Grille dont match together very well. Mailand sold this thing minimum 3 times because the gun is inaccurate.
@@whitedeath47 i agree, but Sometimes, Just Sometimes, you can Play the Tier 9 aggressive, Just Hope you Fight against people who cant Pen you and that dont fire Heat. And the 308 Standart Pen is ofc very nice. But still by far Not as good as the t10 ofc.

Yooo TRUvoodoo ! I miss your videos.. 😢 Nice to read from you. You definitely get a point here with your analysis
2:27 It's not that you can't snipe with grille 15, WG wants you pay some extra tax to make sure your tank run smoothly.
It saddens me that the downward monetasation spiral this game is having will probably only getting worse
The intro pissed me off just by watching it. After I get even a single game like that I instantly Alt f4 afterwards.
thats so true i cant
So, in essence:
Play like a support medium
Peek when you know the trade is worth
Spend the time reloading on strategizing
basically same playstyle as if you play with big gun on the WT Auf Pz 4

Not using the mobility of any tank is holding people back.
day 1 of asking iyouxin for high level commentary gameplay on cs52 lis 😩🙏🙏🙏
(pls pls pls pls pls)
Good luck with this
Best Sniper Tank Destroyer, huh?
I'm thinking of another Tank that is even more accurate, which you also shouldn't Snipe with...
And the one you are talking about is my first 3rd marked tier 10 tank :)
@whitedeath47 was it fun? Only at the Tier 9 rn, can't Play nearly as offensive sadly.

True
bro once said that his favorite TD is Grile 15 🤣🤣
"Them?" min 7:40 - from The Chronicles of Riddick (2004)
Worst part of Grille15 is the tier 9 waffle, a better td in almost every way.
I swear, grille's gun is the biggest scam in the entire game
These are not the only problems of this tank. Most of the shots fired are below 750 average damage. Damage RNG is negative most of the time.
sadly video is voiced over, no original sounds :(

What do you mean? Sorry
This is currently me
I have the same experience with grille, is quite bad td
Grille 15 is also terrible in blitz, with same bad aiming but more easy to be spotted, it took me hundreds of battles to know how to play it.
the 1st and the 2nd video is literally me on how i play fv4005...i hate myself when it deflect on LT....the curse.....hahahhaha
how did u get that reload time 😮

How do you justify a "mod" that tells you if your shots go throug the enemy tank ?
How is it not a cheat ? it is suuuuuuuuuch a huge advantage !
what exactly are you talking about?
this is why i cant play this tank anymore 80 percent shots i hit light with say armor not hit or screen
