"Dark Heart Ceremony" music video directed by Orie McGinness at Enlighten Creative Studio.
The record was produced and recorded by CARNIFEX and Mick Kenney (ANAAL NATHRAKH, BLEEDING THROUGH), and co-produced by Jason Suecof (DEATH ANGEL, CHELSEA GRIN, JOB FOR A COWBOY). Slow Death was mixed by Mark Lewis (THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, WHITECHAPEL, DEVILDRIVER, DEICIDE) at Audiohammer Studios in Sanford, Florida. Cover art for the album was created by renowned artist and longtime collaborator, Godmachine.
"Album number six, over 10 years as a band and we have more fire and passion than ever," comments vocalist Scott Ian Lewis. "This album will reshape our genre and be looked back on as an album that started a new movement for aggressive, dark metal. We're going to show those who love us and those who hate us just how far reaching our ambition is."

Carnifex has easily been the most consistently good deathcore band of the last decade.

Carnifex puts the death in Deathcore. So many bands lyrics aren't as grim or violent as their music, but Carnifex picks up for all the slack
The gunshot in the middle of the song reminds me of late 2000's breakdowns.. so rad.

I used to not like deathcore, mainly because I generalized it by Suicide Silence. But then I found this band and TAIM. I think Black Dahlia might be a good transition band, since their newer albums (Since Nocturnal) are melodeath, but Unhallowed and Miasma were more deathcore.

i cant believe i slept on carnifex for so long. I guess you would call it blackened Deathcore but that style has grown on me over the years because I don't like raw black metal or straight up death metal that much but this stuff is fire. I've been kind of listening to all their albums and I kind of skipped around but all of it has been pretty damn good

Aversions crown, lorna shore, Rings Of Saturn, A Wake In Providence, Slaughter to Prevail, A Night In Texas, Angelmaker, Acrania, Fit For An Autopsy, thy art is murder, Cattle Decapitation, among alot of others. but i will forever & always be a djentleman at heart

Nagelfar the last two albums by this band have shown they aren't pure deathcore in my mind, they are moving more into death metal, especially with the influences of black metal and Swedish melodeath creeping into their sound

Finally I found the perfect balance between the black and deathcore. I am so glad I discovered this band, it is extremely brutal, melodic and dense. Looking forward to see them live.
Seen these guys live about 9 times now, worth it every time. I'm always left wishing they played longer sets. I cant think of one song I don't love from any album quite honestly.
I like it...definetly different with the black metal influence, and thats exactly what the genre needs right now.
