the type 99 is the finest bolt action ive ever held in my hands. it is the only rifle i hunt medium/large game with the bayonet must be attached for the perfect trophy shot.
I did not know the button was removable. I took my bayonet out of the safe. The button unthreads! I might put a drop of oil in there later. Thanx for making the video.
I’d like to see how to attach a monopod. My 99 came wit the proper hardware but a repro monopod won’t fit. Also, could you comment on the different versions of the type 30? I got one that a Korean vet brought back and said he’d bought it in the Philippines. It fits the 99 but doesn’t look like any other I’ve seen.
I need to redo the Type 99 detailed disassembly video and could possibly take apart the monopod in that. There were wartime simplifications of the Type 30. That could be what you have or it could be a bayonet modified to fit a Type 99.

That would be pretty epic!
Hi, great video. My dad had one of these rifles. I used to love putting the bayonet on and off when l was a kid. Thanks for the memories 👏🌈😀
Thank you, and I'm honored to have brought back your memories!

Glad I could help!

That's a nice rifle stand. Where did you get it?
Thanks! I made it myself.
