you can catch Whiting year round. The best time of the year is November - December using small pieces of Squid. Most of their competition like Pinfish and other species are out to deeper water giving you a better chance to target them.

Have you heard anything about the fresh water trout fishing at Yogi in the mountains nc , if that hurricane did any damage? Nice spotted trout and those were really nice reds beautiful color

I have heard they did pretty good through the storm. I won't really know if the trout have been affected until I go back in the spring.
