DO IT WHILE YOU'RE YOUNG,, NICE WORK BRO ,
Thank you for watching
Are those Year One rims the exact same ones that came on the Z28’s? For some reason they look a little different. Can’t put my finger on why though!
Great build video though! I’m currently working on my 81’ and will be saving this video for future use!
Yeah they are year ones and 17 inch wheels aluminum 8 and 9 offset and good luck with the car these are my favorite cars by far
Beautiful. Not sure about the rims but otherwise 👍🏻
That came out awesome ! Do you know what paint you used on the engine? Thanks
Thank you and I used VHT GM BLUE ENAMEL, AND DUPLICOLOR GM BLUE ENGINE ENAMEL
I’m redoing to my interior on my 80 z28 and needs carpet where did you get your carpet from and what did it cost?
I got mine from summit but it's oer brand so you could also order it from Amazon just need a part number and it was $150 roughly at the time
Year one is your best bet. They have a lot of restoration parts you can buy.
How long did it take for the interior replacement if you dont mind me asking
I did this car over the winter I got it in the starts of fall and I didn't end up finishing it until the middle of summer but the interior was the first thing finished and maybe took me a month to get everything together to put it
Awesome what does it cost to do something like that I have a 79 z28 been sitting in garage since 93
It's can cost between 5k and 10k depending on your intentions for the car but that z28 will be a nice car for sure is it a stick shift?
Yes sir!!
Nice and since it's a 79 with 4 speed it should have 3.72 gears as well and posi. Good luck with the restoration and let me know when you get it running👍
@gettemtogethergarage8868 yes sir got to find someone or a good paint shop got a brand new 406 for it as well
I have an 80 that I want to get restored. I'm not looking for a show car but clean and reliable. Would you be interested in restoring?
Do you believe in rust encapsulator or poor 15? My 1978 Camaro has some rust in the pillars and roof and small bit under the floor in the rear. Not all can be grinder out…. Muriatic acid?
Any recommendations are appreciated
I'm a believer in evapo rust I have done a bunch of suspension parts and they turn out like new but now they have a gel style of it that you can wipe onto the car and will sit over night and hose it off with water and should be ready to go but I never used the gel version yet
Rust-Oleum has a rust desolver also I used in a frame 3 years ago on our Chevy C10 and nothing has come back and it's also in a climate controlled environment
What are the tire sizes ? Thank You.
235 45 17 in the front and 255 55 17 in the rear
Nice what's in the motor
It's got a mild .440 lift cam hydraulic bored .30 over flattop pistons headers and a stage 1 aluminum intake and a stock quadjet carb for now soon to be a .510 lift cam with aluminum heads and a Holley 750 double pumper
@@gettemtogethergarage8868 It's nice it might get into12's in quarter
