The Apostle Paul had the power to write scripture on behalf of Jesus. Many have a form of godliness but deny the power thereof. Firstly, you have to be born again. Secondly, you ask the Father in faith for the Holy Spirit's power. God always hears your prayers, so therefore, you have your request. You must believe you receive. You must act in faith by making any noise other than your normal language. The Holy Spirit will give you a prayer language no one understands, except the Holy Spirit. God will give you the interpretation of you ask him. However, the gift of declaring a message in tongues to a group is not for everyone. I pray and groan in the Spirit , but I have never given a message in tongues.
There’s the gift of interpretation of tongues and then the evidence of being infilled with the Holy Spirit.
2 separate experiences.
One for the edification of the body of Christ
And one for personal edification.

Before watching this is a great controversy I disagree on. Some bigotous Baptist tried to tell me “that’s what MY Bible says” when they’re literally misinterpreting an English translation.. anyways my common sense tells me; why do I need to pray in a language I don’t understand when God probably wants me to be on a great level of understanding with him? Way to leave the prayer from your heart up to interpretation from another person.. nevertheless thinking a nonsensical fake language is somehow of יהוה
I’m seriously not trying to be a bigot but it is such to imply we need to utter a foreign unknown heavenly language to either be heard saved or make an effective prayer. Pray in your tongue you understand the most because that’s how you would talk to the Creator. What’s the point if you don’t even know what you’re saying to him? I digress.

If our languages be too corrupt for the Holy Spirit, what does that say about clothes when Adam & eve were created naked? I honestly think יהוה wants us to work within our understanding. Requiring another interpreter for personal prayer is a lack of understanding
