So it was the starter? Im having same issue where it just clicks one time? I didn't think it was the starter cause I thought it would click more than one time
I'm having this problem and my car is in the shop so far a diagnosis. When I turn the key it usually starts. But sometimes it will not start, the lights come on and I can hear a faint click,. I go thru this routine of shifting the lever back and forth, pounding on the steering column and occasionally shifting the parking brake on and off. All or one of these actions has allowed it to start. My guess is either an ignition switch or a neutral safety switch. I'll get back here when I find out for sure what the problem is. The bad part of this IS i'm without a car, so far one day now going into two for it to act up in the dealer shop.
My Impala didn't want to start, but all of a sudden it started and im still driving rn i don't want to turn it off I want see if it goes out ...but my check engine light is on worried it's not something bad...
General mistake has had this problem since the 2000 Impala, Monte Carlo and Grand Prix it's a shame how they get away with selling cars knowing they have these ignition problems which sometimes can be deadly.
Next time instead of blabbing on for six minutes about nonsense. Get to the point and stop wasting peoples time. We don’t need to hear your whole life story.
I seen this guy today have this problem, so i stopped to help and it was about to rain and he has to kids so I kinda felt a little bad so anyway I tried to jump his car and that did not work (i have a jump box) and spent 10 mins checking the fuses and they where fine and i said well lemme try to just his alternator and when i put my jump box on the alternator the car started! So try to jump your alternator if your battery is good
This could have been a 30 sec video. U could have just said it was your starter. We didn't need to hear all the extra speech. You're not running for president.
If it's been hour and half since you used the car, then why is the temperature gauge showing almost normal operating temperature. Your a liar cause if it's been hour and half it would be cold by then. Liar

Mine will start after I turn the key a couple of times or it’ll start first try any ideas of what could be wrong
You by chance have a interlock in ur car?
Probably a bad pos or neg connection.
If it was a bad connection the llights wouldn't come on
@@jayd6892 not true, it's common to have a dirty ground connection from the motor to the battery.
I had a similar issues. I pressed on and off the brake while starting the vehicle and it started working.

Could be alternator but it was the battery for mine
How many times you press the breaks?
@@KbmTrippy A had to give it a few tries but only did it twice. The first time it worked as soon as I did it. The second time it took about 3-5 tries

I have a 2007 Impala. Turn key, dash lights come on turn key to start-nothing. Two sensors inside the tranny were no good. Cost me $1900.
