Thanks for all the suggestions, I've got a 67 vett 327 that's locked up with rust, I'd like to save it if possible, I'll use these ideas in hope of a favorable outcome.
I came to the right place. I'm going to try to restart my dad's 1960 F100 that I parked about 20 years ago. My dad bought it here in town brand new in 1959. It was running when I parked it. This is going to be fun!
I dropped a 216 babbitt rod chevy 6 in a tank of water. It was rusted about the same...stuck solid. Picked it back out after 30 days, and turned it over with a wrench.
i have quite had a few engines like this and my go to is apple cider vinager... works the best .. v8.. fill one side row of pistons set to sitting up on engine stand with apple cider vinager for 24hrs then turn the other side row of pistons to up and fill those with apple cider vinager and let sit for 24 hrs .. now you will be able to work crank back and forth using a flex bar and crank snout socket or pipe wrench with a rag wrapped on the snout so not to damage it and it will break free and clean the rust off the bores with the rings as you turn it over...
You didn't use my concoction to soak it, maybe next time straight vinegar let sit 24 hours followed by diesel fuel same 24 hours difference being o do it with the head still on filling the crank case completely
Is there something we didn't try that you think will work? Leave us a comment and let us know.
white vinegar...eats rust like no ones business
Please don't ever make a video using that crappy I-phone camera effect. Oh yeah, give Kroil a try. I think ya'll will be very pleased with it.
I agree please don't use this crappy narrow split screen stuff. It sucks.
Yeah, ditto on NEVER using that sh*t camera view ever again!
Yes, please! It’s annoying and hard on the eyes.
Agreed. This is not tiktok.
Its bc they filmed it to work on tiktok too its gotta be viable for all playforms these days
There's a special part of Hell reserved for people who record in portrait
Been lecturing my wife about it for years.... Guess they never heard of Pavavision!

Cleaning vinegar...
Love how y'all covered the seafoam and WD-40 names
Is there more on this engine series?
Little dab’ll do ya, proceeds to spray half a can in there 😂

Wow, but what did the cylinder walls end up looking like?
The video looks just fine. People griping about it are just not happy unless they're upset about something. Fun vid.

How do you fill the crankcase?
The Ford straight-6 has met it's match!
acetone and atf works for me
Saw a guy clean all the bores once then boil oil on a stove and pour it in to the cylinders.
Ideally, you should be using the air hammer at the same time as pulling down on the bar so it works together, not either one or the other.
Where is the next video - thought I saw a still frame of you guys doing an electrolytic dip on the FB page...?
Is there a version that is full screen for grown ups?
Instead of Clint singing "Just Killing Time" he should sing "Time is killing my Ford"
I have 2 chevy small block that I tries it all.Still stuck
apple cider vinager soaking 24 hrs per side sitting straight up and full works wonders
Wonder if chem dip carb cleaner would work
It’s just an acetone.
Just make sure you don’t mix that brake fluid with any strong oxidizers…. 🔥
White vinegar will do the trick
Great video 😎👍🏻
You can actually flip your phone horizontally and record more footage, idk if you knew
@powernation2 - how did the rusted engine came out
Looks like the rain got into the block
We believe the truck was in a flood
You showed this on the 2nd channel couple days ago come on
👍👍👍👍👍nice video. Love the old inline 6's.
Just soak the block for 7 days in white vinegar.
the works towel bowel cleaner will work for this
I use a gallon of Kroil
White vinegar.
What happenned to marc?
30% vinegar
Won't watch any video filmed like this!
🎄🎄🎁🎁⛄⛄❄️❄️☃️☃️🎄🎄
Warning: Do not taste
Well. Day ruined.
Where can I watch this video without the nonsense???
A fruitless exercise.
This new style of recording sucks…
