Let's be real, we've all had several mental breakdowns trying to figure out the setlist so this video might be the most relatable video you've ever made. I get the feeling this is how Taylor created the setlist; color-coded flashcards, facing harsh realities, thinking about the locals, mega medleys, etc. Honestly, the most impossible task of all time. let's be honest, except for maybe Willow and Champagne Problems there's no chance any song from Evermore will appear in a setlist. She wrote I Forgot That You Existed about Evermore.
I defo believe she’s going to start with Lavender Haze and bring 2/3/4 songs from the Midnights era and make it a CURRENT party of Taylor. And then it’ll slow down and we’ll get a monologue from her of where she’s at, how her TEN eras has changed her life (and ours) - in which she’ll then be like “okay it’s time to go back a little bit guys”…and then it will start from debut and we’ll do chronological through to midnights AGAIN with karma, bejewelled anti hero and we’ll end with you’re on your own kid. IMAGINE?!? This might be a bit unrealistic and a little TAYLORED (pardon the pun) to the fans. But my word it would work so well.
If I were Taylor, I would totally work my ass off in rehearsals and prepare as many songs as possible so I could rotate them. I would keep some songs fixed for every show (e.g. Anti-Hero, Blank Space, Cruel Summer, Getaway Car, August, Enchanted, open with Lavender Haze and close with Long Live, and a few others), but I would change about half the setlist for every show. This way more songs get a chance. Plus, the audience wouldn't know what they'd get and there'd be more anticipation.
I still think about how in 1989 Tour movie she said that her band and dancers are able to learn a song in about a hour, so what if she every show changed 1, 2 or 3 songs?

I've been 100% team "End the show with Long Live" since she announced the tour...it just makes sense and I will cry my eyes out. I could also she her opening with just the first line of Love Story "we were both young when I first saw you", and transitioning into another song.

I'm dying because she could do sooooooo many things with this tour. Something you didn't say but is an option especially since as you said we're skipping the Midnights tour would be to do a handful of songs from Midnights as like the beginnings of sections and then do either songs from the era that particular midnight came from or songs relating to the same people/situations. With Midnights being all the eras, I think it would make sense for this album to be the centerpiece. Then past songs that are tied to songs on Midnights will get mashed together.

For context, I’m at 34:55 right now in the video, before I see what you choose as the set list. I want to get a couple thoughts out while I’m thinking of them 😂. It’s so hard to figure out wtf Taylor will do… I think the part that confuses me the most is that this being billed as something akin to a “Greatest Hits” tour, and not focusing on just Midnights. The problem is, she’s released four albums without tours, two of which are very stadium-ready. Idk. I have a million thoughts. I do think it’s reasonable to expect that old albums will get cut way down to make room for Lover’s tour having been canceled and Midnights because it’s brand new, especially since her Midnights-esque self is the biggest focus of the promo material. Also, I think it’s safe to say that reputation will get very little representation because it was the last tour. I agree wholeheartedly with your thoughts on All Too Well. Excellent song. One of the very best she’s ever or will ever write. Having said that, I sincerely hope we don’t get all ten minutes of it. There’s limited time in a tour, and not even because she’s in the move, but she can’t keep stretching out the length of the show because she’d risk hurting her voice, especially in dryer or high-elevation cities. I think adding ATW-10 would take up way too much room that could be given to other material, esp since it got HEAVY promo just a year ago. But I do think it will make an appearance of some kind somewhere, and that will be awesome. Ok, final thought for those who didn’t TLDR 😂. Folklore and Evermore. She’s never going to perform all the ones we want, and they aren’t exactly stadium tour-ready. However, picture this. Second-to last act. There’s still another act and an encore after this. We’ve still got 25-30 minutes of show left. She’s just done a somewhat big song like Bejeweled, or Getaway Car. In comes an INTHAF interlude. She returns in flannel with a guitar to perform cardigan/august/betty, whether as a medley to tell the story or as three whole songs, idk. While she sings, the dancers perform an interpretation of the story in front of her. As betty ends, the lights go down. A goldish light returns as Long Story Short fades in like it does on the album. This one’s not acoustic, it’s a full band played like it is on the album. Full choreography, all the bells and whistles. We all jam along. She maybe takes a second in the bridge to reflect on the last several years and the tribulations she’s gone through, how much she’s grown, and how the fans old and new have stuck it out with her, and then she goes into the “… no more keeping score…” and finishes the song out with us. Ok that was a pipe dream that definitely won’t happen but it would be soooooo cool.
Ok hear me Out: what if she does her different eras one by one (Not necessarily in Order) and places the midnights-tracks after or before them? Like e.g. Starting off the show with lavender haze the continuing with the lover era, then the red era Ending on maroon, karma finishing of the rep Part of the show and so on. Would be a cool possibility as midnights feels very concluding of all her different eras. 😊

I think that when it comes to this topic - a chaotic topic for swifties- rather we discuss it in a realistic mode or in a delusional mode ahaah I think Caitlin went both to create some sort of balance. I would like to point out that it’s normal for setlists to have past songs, I believe why she’s calling it the eras tour for the most part is because she hasn’t toured for 4 albums plus the new songs of the re-recordings.
@@casie6609 She didn’t tour for Lover either cause of the pandemic, so 4 albums. But just cause of the nature of folklore and evermore, those are not albums that would have gotten a tour anyway. So they’ll probably have a moment, but Lover and Midnights will take up a lot more space.

Let's be real, we've all had several mental breakdowns trying to figure out the setlist so this video might be the most relatable video you've ever made. I get the feeling this is how Taylor created the setlist; color-coded flashcards, facing harsh realities, thinking about the locals, mega medleys, etc. Honestly, the most impossible task of all time. I give up. It's fine. We're all fine.

And then it’ll slow down and we’ll get a monologue from her of where she’s at, how her TEN eras has changed her life (and ours) - in which she’ll then be like “okay it’s time to go back a little bit guys”…and then it will start from debut and we’ll do chronological through to midnights AGAIN with karma, bejewelled anti hero and we’ll end with you’re on your own kid. IMAGINE?!? This might be a bit unrealistic and a little TAYLORED (pardon the pun) to the fans. But my word it would work so well.

If I were Taylor, I would totally work my ass off in rehearsals and prepare as many songs as possible so I could rotate them. I would keep some songs fixed for every show (e.g. Anti-Hero, Blank Space, Cruel Summer, Getaway Car, August, Enchanted, open with Lavender Haze and close with Long Live, and a few others), but I would change about half the setlist for every show. This way more songs get a chance. Plus, the audience wouldn't know what they'd get and there'd be more anticipation.
I still think about how in 1989 Tour movie she said that her band and dancers are able to learn a song in about a hour, so what if she every show changed 1, 2 or 3 songs?

Something you didn't say but is an option especially since as you said we're skipping the Midnights tour would be to do a handful of songs from Midnights as like the beginnings of sections and then do either songs from the era that particular midnight came from or songs relating to the same people/situations. The possibilities are truly endless, her music is so special because of all the things tying this to that and little nods and references she makes, I'm BEYOND excited, I've been a fan since she started and completely lucked out having this be my first tour of hers!!!!

For context, I’m at 34:55 right now in the video, before I see what you choose as the set list. I want to get a couple thoughts out while I’m thinking of them 😂.
It’s so hard to figure out wtf Taylor will do… I think the part that confuses me the most is that this being billed as something akin to a “Greatest Hits” tour, and not focusing on just Midnights. The problem is, she’s released four albums without tours, two of which are very stadium-ready. Idk. I have a million thoughts. I do think it’s reasonable to expect that old albums will get cut way down to make room for Lover’s tour having been canceled and Midnights because it’s brand new, especially since her Midnights-esque self is the biggest focus of the promo material. Also, I think it’s safe to say that reputation will get very little representation because it was the last tour.
I agree wholeheartedly with your thoughts on All Too Well. Excellent song. One of the very best she’s ever or will ever write. Having said that, I sincerely hope we don’t get all ten minutes of it. There’s limited time in a tour, and not even because she’s in the move, but she can’t keep stretching out the length of the show because she’d risk hurting her voice, especially in dryer or high-elevation cities. I think adding ATW-10 would take up way too much room that could be given to other material, esp since it got HEAVY promo just a year ago. But I do think it will make an appearance of some kind somewhere, and that will be awesome.
Ok, final thought for those who didn’t TLDR 😂. Folklore and Evermore. She’s never going to perform all the ones we want, and they aren’t exactly stadium tour-ready. However, picture this. Second-to last act. There’s still another act and an encore after this. We’ve still got 25-30 minutes of show left. She’s just done a somewhat big song like Bejeweled, or Getaway Car. In comes an INTHAF interlude. She returns in flannel with a guitar to perform cardigan/august/betty, whether as a medley to tell the story or as three whole songs, idk. While she sings, the dancers perform an interpretation of the story in front of her. As betty ends, the lights go down. A goldish light returns as Long Story Short fades in like it does on the album. This one’s not acoustic, it’s a full band played like it is on the album. Full choreography, all the bells and whistles. We all jam along. She maybe takes a second in the bridge to reflect on the last several years and the tribulations she’s gone through, how much she’s grown, and how the fans old and new have stuck it out with her, and then she goes into the “… no more keeping score…” and finishes the song out with us.
Ok that was a pipe dream that definitely won’t happen but it would be soooooo cool.
I could see a willow, Cardigan, Betty, august mashup that ends with august and either leads into Tim McRaw, Cruel Summer OR Wildest Dreams

I think that when it comes to this topic - a chaotic topic for swifties- rather we discuss it in a realistic mode or in a delusional mode ahaah I think Caitlin went both to create some sort of balance.

I would like to point out that it’s normal for setlists to have past songs, I believe why she’s calling it the eras tour for the most part is because she hasn’t toured for 4 albums plus the new songs of the re-recordings.
