I've got a little two acre field of soybeans to harvest this year that's on the side of a hill the entire time I'll be riding in my little John Deere 3300 I will keep repeating to myself it's not going to turn over, it's not going to turn over....... it's not going to turn over. You mentioned operator Comforts probably the one where he's not having to constantly repeat to himself, the combine is not going to turn over, which will make for a more enjoyable ride.
We're running a level land JD 6600 that we converted to a sidehill, scrounged parts from four different machines to do so. Put a conveyor type feederhouse off a 6620 on it. Been a very good machine.
Wow that thing is in fantastic shape. Pretty sure I know this machine; I'm in SW WI, and there just aren't that many 9510 Sidehills in operation in the area.
Thanks alot janson for the video,it's a very good combine,I have liked it,I will try to learn more abaut it and order it,to harvest my soybeans in africa
Great video of what now has become a classic. 9510 is Beautiful shape too! You can always tell before you mention where you’re filming if it’s in the Midwest, Ky, or northeast...just by the condition of the equipment. Generally speaking, it seems like the farmers in Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, & MN take better care of their equipment. Basically, what I’m saying is that I can tell when you’re filming in NY & even KY...😂
Great video! Please have a look at videos filmed here in Italy. You can see tough conditions in real steep hills. Our grain carts are very small because of that.
Very cool 😎 video! It would be nice to see one comparing the 20 series of combines with offset cabs. 66, 77 and 8820. Curious if John Deere loyalists loved the offset cab or were delighted with the 9000 series cabs in the center 🤔 Thanks for the video! 😃
I have not ever really hear of a farmer complain about a Titan or praise a 9000. Normally they have found memories of both. I am working on a 75 years of John Deere combines video for Christmas Time
Thank you! I would probably love and hate the offset cabs. Can't wait to see the history video in December! Thanks so much for doing the Ford New Holland history video a couple years back. 🙂
I've seen tons of equipment but never a sidehill combine... It's pretty cool.does it level itself or does operator level it ? Always awesome Jason... Thank you.
Both, there's an automatic pendilum switch mounted on the front axle and a manual rocker type switch in the cab. Both switches are controlled by a master on/off switch.
The 4425 was a European model shipped over here to replace the 4420 for 1984 as John Deere still felt there was a market for a 4 row narrow combine in North America. They offered the 4425 until the Maximizer series was introduced and they starting shipped 4435s over until John Deere discontinued the option of a 4 row narrow machine for the 1996 model year. The larger 9400 still had a 4 row wide capability, so it more or less covered other small farmers.
Howdy Big Tractor Power. We have a Family Farm up in the Penn Yan, NY area. I see you have several videos in the Upstate Area. Do you ever make it to our neck of the Woods?
Whenever I see a Hillside combine in action it always looks like it just shouldn’t be doing but it’s doing but it works quite well must be interesting to drive one
My bosses are using a John Deere 9660 STS combine Bullet Rotor and a John Deere 635D 35' rigid draper head to cut the soybeans. Their oldest brother is using a John Deere 9760 STS combine with a 630F 30' flex head to cut soybeans. They brought out the John Deere 7800 with a 740 Classic Loader on it to pull an A&L F705 700 bushel grain cart. They aren't running the grain cart, they are keeping it parked to the side because their oldest brother is using the semi like 20 miles away from where my bosses are cutting.
The machine has an autoleveling sistem. First models were manuals, you had to adjust the level using an hidraulic lever but it was very hard to manage all the movements
Not a lot of those sidehill machines around the midwest here, so pretty cool to get to watch. You said 9703 sq ft threshing area, but I think you meant sq inch area?
They are popular in Eastern Iowa and South Centeral Wisconsin. I messed up on the threshing space number. I re did that segment several times and just did not hear myself say feet 😬. I am all congested from filming soybeans. It makes it hard to narrate.
Very cool to see a SideHill model in action!
First time I've saw a sidehill combine in action ,cool video
You know what Jason I just realized something you really do have the perfect voice for radio
I have never a side hill combines. They are really cool😊
Good video sod buster
Hello! Always fun to watch this kind of combines.
Thanks for sharing. I've heard of them but first time seeing one in action.

It's our ride! Nice machine

Great vídeo Jason.
My combine favority 👍😁💪
I'd sure like to ride in that combine on the side of those hills. I think it would be a little scary but quite the experience. Thanks Jason 👍🏻.
That's VERY, VERY cool.

That’s really cool! I have never seen a video of one of these machines in action before this!
Wow! A sidehill combine used to be fairly common to see in NW Illinois. That looks like a well-cared for machine. Thanks for posting.
Thanks alot janson for the video,it's a very good combine,I have liked it,I will try to learn more abaut it and order it,to harvest my soybeans in africa

👋 hey 👋 from Dexter,Missouri my friend.
Super awesome video.

I enjoy watching the hill harvesting in Italy. New Holland and Lavarda build some interesting combines for that harvesting.
@@bigtractorpower don't forget ARBOS, a local brand, famous many years ago. I drove the 160 with a perkins 8 V cilinder

I image that is a different type of combine to run. Great video.

@@dobsonrunfarm9329 awesome... Thx
Run a sidehill 9500. My favorite machine.
lots of sidehills here in PA. I actually spotted a combine I've never seen before recently, a John Deere 4425.
The 4425 was a European model shipped over here to replace the 4420 for 1984 as John Deere still felt there was a market for a 4 row narrow combine in North America. Cool to see a sidehill combine at work!
Come to Eastern Washington & Western Idaho during wheat harvest.
Would like too have one like that
👍👍
Cool 😎

What part of southwest Wisconsin is this?
Vernon county
Does John Deere make any combines now that can be on side hills?

You’re sounding a little under the weather my friend
Does any manufacturer still make a sidehill version, or have the rotary models made them obsolete?
Does the operator have to level the combine or does it level itself?
The machine has an autoleveling sistem. First models were manuals, you had to adjust the level using an hidraulic lever but it was very hard to manage all the movements
Looking back that was a lot of Money!!! At least Fuel was $.60 a Gallon!!
I'm curious why all that corn hasn't been harvested?
Beans are dry and ready, the corn isn't.

@@bigtractorpower Yeah, I bet all that dust gets to you. It sure would me. You still do an outstanding job with all these videos just the same.
I used a John Deere 6600 sidehill combine
Very nice. I have a 6600 SH filmed I need to make a video on.
Side hill from a regular combine is like some $34k extra sure alot of money to spend for farming hill sides
👍 👍
does anyone still make a sidehill combine anymore?
Not in the factory. Hill Co builds an add on a kit for modern combines.
🚜🚜👍😎
👏👏👍👍👌👌
🔝💪💪👍👍👋👋🔝🇮🇹🚜
there are no hills here
That makes harvesting much easier.
I was waiting to learn how the leveling mechanism works in the video. This was a miss IMO.
