At the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, Brazil's Rebeca Andrade performed to “Toccata and Fugue in D Minor” by J.S. Bach and to “Nord Electro” by Player & Remady. Andrade took the silver medal in the women's gymnastics all-around final. Enjoy watching her mesmerizing performance!

What I like the most about this compared to the Americans is that she actually timed her elements and choreography to her music. Nothing about this routine made the music feel like random background noise at any point.
Her routine is definitely better than Jade Carey.
She's on par with Biles I'd say.

If she performed her floor routine like this in the all around finals, she could have won the gold medal.
She would have won because the difference between her and the first place was less than 0.200. She didn't even need to do a perfect routine, just needed to hit it without stepping out of bounds twice
Absolutely! I agree with everything you said. She used her music so well and I really appreciate that. Her landings were excellent, no hops or out of bounds. And no stupid wolf turns🙃Graceful, but strong!! I loved it❣❣

Actually if only her first tumbling in AA finals were like the one she did here on qual (I think it's the Mukhina), she would have scored more than 14,000, when she needed only 13.802 for gold.
But actually a simple fair score in UB would already make it
I love the way the cameraman captures her beautiful figures, especially the top-down view. Awesome. I think she has the best choreography at this Olympics. It is graceful but also very strong and decisive. Love from Vietnam

E ainda carecemos muito de ginásios pelo Brasil, poderíamos ser uma mega potência no esporte.
@@aleidasobrevivencia acho que ainda seremos essa potência heim. Se acompanhar as competições do infantil e juvenil tem uma meninas chegando com tudo. A Hellen do flamengo é um exemplo... Tem uma mocinha tbm, acho que é Isabel Aguilar que tem tudo para ser uma campeã olímpica no futuro. Muita coisa vem mudando e a Rebeca terá muito peso nesse processo.

Eu esperava por uma medalha desde 2004, quando vi nossa Daiane dos Santos perder e ficar em 5 lugar em Athenas. O tempo passou, mas minha esperança permaneceu o durante tempo. Obrigado, Rebeca.
Eu não tinha esperanças mais desde que a Daiane errou de novo em 2008 kk
em 2008 ela não vinha como favorita já em 2004 ela vinha como favorita e errou foi uma frustração maior

Sim a diferença é que quando chegou a hora do solo já estavam exaustas nenhuma dela teve seu máximo no solo do individual geral
e pegaria um bronze na final do solo
Teria pegado o ouro no AA, mas na individual do solo acho difícil.
@@caiomatias1 Na final de solo ela teve 14,033. Tendo perdido 0,5 de penalidade por pisar fora 2 vezes. Se acertasse seria ouro já que a nota final seria 14,5 a Jade venceu com 14.3.

A historic moment for the Brazilian artistic gymnastics in the Land of the Rising Sun! The first ever medal of a woman!
Rebeca Andrade never denied for anyone that Daiane dos Santos is her greatest inspiration since her childhood. When she was a little girl, at the age of 5, at the Athens 2004 Olympics, she used to imitates Daiane's movings! And 5 years later, in 2009, one year after Beijing 2008 games, Daiane and Laís Souza (A former gymnast who suffered an skiing accident during trainings for Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics and lost the movings of arms and legs) visited a gymnasium in Guarulhos (Metropolitan Region of São Paulo, where she were born) and there's was the little Rebeca, training with the other girls.

Mas os patriocinios que você citou são de empresas privadas, que não pertencem ao governo. Eu entendi o que você quis dizer, ela teve tudo o que foi necessário no quesito investimento, mas não foi o governo que cobriu a grande porcentagem. Mas comparado a países de alta potência da ginástica artística, o nosso investimento ainda é escasso.
Mas é como você disse, a Beca revolucionou (não só ela, mas também Daiane, Dany, Flavinha, Lalika e entre outras.) Vamos chegar lá.
@O GINASIO os atletas do EUA tem patrocínio de empresas privadas sim, mas eles sao incentivados a perseguir uma carreira no esporte desde pequenos. Você pode até ganhar bolsa na faculdade se for um bom atleta, você tem ginásios dentro das escolas onde é possível treinar. Rebeca começou na ginástica por causa de um projeto social na cidade dela, mas e se não tivesse projeto nenhum (como é o caso de várias cidades do Brasil) ? Nós temos muito talentos mas não damos oportunidades pra eles, Rebeca já chegou num altíssimo nível a ponto de receber patrocínio, mas pra quem tá começando é muito muito dificil
@O GINASIO , mas mesmo assim é pouco, nem se compara com o investimento que o futebol tem, Brasil deveria cuidar, divulgar e investir de verdade em todos os esportes, pq talento tem e muito, e não somente futebol

She's out of the bounds in floor finals but she is close in the bronze. She won silver on All Around and gold at Vault.

I love how she sells her routine! Floor exercise has been missing the artistry but she hits every note of music WITH the difficult tumbling. Unfortunately, with Jade Carey and some others the choreography seems labored (or halfhearted, though they are still great gymnasts). But rebeca sells the choreography all the way through, she doesn’t even pause long for her tumbling runs.

Miles better than her AA and FX finals performances. That stuck first pass is just beautiful.
I guess to say it's miles better is exaggeration. Andrade did the Chusovitina and the Memmel better in the AA and EF.

Some things here and there but overall she had such a fantastic routine and execution. Loved watching it again here
If she manages to improve her Solo even more, it's possible that she has one of the, or if she doesn't have the best performer in history, she could even unseat Biles, but even if I hope for that, it will be difficult
Daiane era medalha certa Atenas, nao deu... Jade Barbosa depois de um mundial de sucesso em 2007 era promissor em Pequim 2008 no salto e AA, Flavia com chances absurdas de uma medalha na trave no Rio 2016.... Mas ninguem deu nada pela rebeca (tirando as ginastas citadas) mal parecia que tinha brasileira competindo, globo e sportv so falavam de Simone Biles, chegou a vez da Rebeca, fria e centrada, notas altissimas, tres finais, duas medalhas, vai como o maior nome no mundial em outubro, sem pressao nenhuma e uma boa psicologa, acho que faltou isso pras anteriores, Rebeca fez historia, marcou e na minha opiniao é o nome da ginastica feminina em toquio, temos ponor em 2004, johnson em 2008, mustafina em 2012, biles em 2016 e andrade em 2020

E em 2000, apesar do doping e das companheiras fortíssimas (Simona Amanar e Maria Olaru), o nome das olimpíadas na minha opinião foi Andreea Raducan.
