I love this song, always thought it was a bit underrated. My favorite version of it though is the live version from the Disasterpieces dvd, it obviously doesn't have the weird vocal effects like the album version does.
This song helped me a lot over the years in my life. In moments of anger, some Slipknot with this song specifically, always makes things fall right into place again.
This is one of my favorite songs from Iowa, too. P.s.: Slipknot appears shortly in the movie Rollerball playing I Am Hated on a stage. After you react to the song, it might be worth checking it out.
I would like to say Lauren that you are going to thoroughly enjoy the new single, Yen. So much of the different Coreys appear, you'll be pleasantly surprised
Ahh, IOWA, what a great jorney, btw the effects and distortion vocals in that chorus are... Weirdly amazing XD Waiting for YEN! btw u know what u should do? THEIR DEMOS!!! All of the Self titled demos are in somehow heavier than the studio versions? Idk but its close, spoiler: Corey uses his IOWA voice in all of the demos and songs that didnt make into Self titled, or almost all the songs
I was just listening to Iowa at work last night for the millionth time and I was actually enjoying I Am Hated a bit more than this, even though I voted for this, haha. Love the groove here though, and wild lyrics. BUT, then Metabolic came on and blew this song outta the water, and I said to myself "Metabolic is way better than I remember it being".
This was the FIRST Slipknot song I ever heard as a 13 year old when I received a copy of the Ozzfest 2002 concert where they performed and this was their song in the album compilation. I was not a metal fan as of yet that was my first metal song in my life and the lyrics truly grasped me along with the sound which I found oddly groovy instantly my life changed for the better Somehow I resonated with the lyric THE FUTURE IS BLEEDING!!!! Quite the Corey-San Oracle prophecy there also YOU CANT TAKE MY SOUL AWAY FROM ME!!!
I used to live in Iowa. It wasn't this heavy or violent. But it was this filthy and foul-smelling. I miss Iowa. No wait, no I don't. But I do like Slipknot If you ever lived in Iowa, you'd know why Slipknot is so angry about it.
I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again. Snuff was my introduction to Slipknot. Then I heard Dead Memories, then Psychosocial, then I just did a swan dive into their entire catalog.
Have you ever listened to the "secret" track on Stone Sours first album? It just Corey talking, reading a... I guess kind of a poem or slam poetry type of thing. If you like hearing him speak it's definitely worth a listen.
A random, no reason Pinhead appreciation comment. Thumbs up if you love Pinhead. #craigjonesisthegoat
"Corey's children are laced with Cereal", song.
You’ve been immortalized in this video for all time. Enjoy :)
5:37 “Corey telling me not to pause” 🤣 I just bursted out laughing so hard
Their best song ever, imo... that pinch harmonic triplet is ACTUALLY impossible to replicate... I haven't been able to
I'm hated is so underrated, so different from other iowa songs
I love this song, always thought it was a bit underrated. My favorite version of it though is the live version from the Disasterpieces dvd, it obviously doesn't have the weird vocal effects like the album version does.
I forgot how groovy this song is during the chorus and "you can't take my soul away from me" part.

Man Pinnochio is sooo underrated, his screams in this song are frikin insane, also phantom's mask from the photo is one of my favourites of all time
Utter banger ! Looking forward to your Yen verdict . I believe it'll break in your top 10 (easy) .

I Am Hated is among my favorites from Iowa. Can't wait to see your reaction to that one.

Funny, I have a slipknot playlist to get me through depression. This is number 5 on that list.

makes sense that 'i am hated' ended up last. it fits better in the self titled album than iowa

Not a fan of this one. I guess I didn't feel like getting yelled at. Lol! I did like the sound of that voice effect, though. : )
