Julián Arcas is With His friend Antonio de Torres, the pioneers of today's classical guitar. Both were of Almería and by his guitar work Became world famous. I am also Almeria and I'm a guitarmaker based on the sound of guitars Torres. I was delighted to hear to you. You are an exceptional guitarist. Congratulations.
hi, Joaquin Carrillo, I would like to know more about your Torres design guitar you made. Please give me your email contact or personal website. Thanks
Thank you, that's very kind! I don't know about a full DVD, as that's a bit more complicated, but I'm planning on recording more of these kind of videos. I'll keep you posted! :)
Bravissima !!
Wow man! I could sit here and listen to you all day! Just phenomenol! Now, I must go practice because until now I convinced myself no one could play Fantasia. Boy was I wrong!
Gohar You are a superstar I have listened to you instructions for s while and thought that you were a fine teacher. Then I hear you play performance pieces and I was just blown away - you are a Superstar...
Six minutes of perfect guitar!! Thank you. The presentation is virtuosic, yet it is infused with lyricism and sensitivity -- full of an understanding about the emotional content and not just mastery of the technical challenges. Wonderful! Please publish a DVD of your music with an hour and a half of music for the benefit of those who live far away from metropolises with live guitar performances. All the best!
wow. Very high level playing here! I'm checking out pieces by Arcas so I came across your video. Very nicely done, and your guitar is wonderful sounding too!
well, you are an extraordinary guitarrist and extraordinary lucky also for you have met with, this lets say, perfect guitar. . so clear and balanced of high, medium and low notes and much more .its is really a shame that not all of yours videos have the same quality of recording like this one. congratulations
Congratulaciones
I love your playing with the Julian Arcas. I wonder do you play extra hard tension strings because of the crystal clear ( hammer on / pull offs ) trills---and with the other strokes that are very evident your intent to color the tones. Thank you for presenting us with this wonderful piece.
James McCutcheon sorry for the very late reply, I didn't see the comment. I don't play play hard tension strings, I only play normal or medium. The strings I have on for this pieces are Savarez Cantigas on the basses and Augustine Regals on the trebles. Even though regals say they are hard tension, they feel like normal. Otherwise I wouldn't play them. Now I use Royal Classic Recital, also in medium tension.
Gohar Thank you very much for the reply. I know you much have a vigorous schedule. About strings, tt is very helpful to me and my students. I try to keep beginners especially very youngs on light tension then move them to normal tension. Over the years I used hard tension and now I will have to go to normal, hand strength and a left elbow injury demand it. Your tone, technique and interpretation are very incredible. It is always a pleasure to hear your guitar. Your CD is great! Thanks again. James
Why did I end up here when I searched Julian Arcas POLISH Fantasy!?! A few of those were up years ago when I couldn't okay it... Why!?! Anyways... This sounds great Gohar, thanks for doing this!!!
The scores aren't on my website. You should be able to find them in online stores like Strings By Mail, Guitar Solo, Mel Bay...Probably other places, too. I've just always had the music, part of our home music library. For this specific piece, make sure it's the Julian Arcas version, not Tarrega's. Tarrega's is similar, but does have its differences.
Thanks for been so kind by answering so many questions. I just wondering who is the maker of your guitar and which strings are you using. Thanks, God bless you...
The guitar is a 2012 carved back Jean Rompré, he's a Canadian builder. I use normal tension Savarez Cantigas on the basses and Augustine Regals on trebles.
Dear Oscar, the name of it is in the title. You might also find it published under Francisco Tarrega as composer, but in either case it's just called Fantasia for Guitar on motives from La Traviatta. Hope that helps.
+Gohar Vardanyan Gohar - it's a tone machine, and huge dynamic range - I'm definitely going to check out his work. Is this the same instrument you use in all/most of your other RUclips videos?
yes, it has a beautiful tone and huge dynamic range. That guitar gets loud... lol This is the only guitar in all my videos with a cedar, post summer 2013. The videos with a spruce are with a German Vazquez Rubio. :)
Sorry for my very late reply. I learned it from sheet music. It would be very tricky to learn a piece of this complexity from sight, though not impossible. But in classical guitar we tend to use printed music when we learn something. I did go to school for guitar, I have a bachelors and a master degree from a music conservatory, so that helps ;)
Ido Oron a lot of times the credit is given to Tarrega, but it’s actually Arcas who wrote it, or if we're being really honest, Verdi wrote basically all the music, Arcas made it playable on the guitar... Tarrega added some more chromatic scales and stuff, that aren’t in the Arcas version.
@@GoharVardanyan Thanks a lot, I didn't know that what a shame.. I played that score a couple of years ago and didn't know the whole story behind it :).. Verdi's music is one of my all time favourites, I'm so happy that Arcas and Tarrega left us this magnificent piece of music! Amazing interpretation and performance by the way!
Thanks for all the nice comments! I'm glad you guys like the video :) It's one of my favorite pieces.

Beautiful technique, phrasing, tempo and tone. This is really impressive playing. Surely a world class virtuoso of the classical guitar.
Wonderful performing of this composition. Great sound.

BRAVO!!!
Amazing technique. Gohar you are a great Classical Guitarist.
Wow man! I could sit here and listen to you all day! Just phenomenol! Now, I must go practice because until now I convinced myself no one could play Fantasia. Boy was I wrong!
Thank you! That's very nice of you to say. I'm glad you liked it :)
This play reminds me of the time when I was young. What a beautiful song and play!!

For many years I loved this opera song from Verdi. So beautiful, so enjoying. Gohar played it very nicely. Excellent performance. Thank you.

Very beautiful arrangement for G. Verdi La Traviata.

La Traviata by Francisco Tárrega..... beautiful!
yes!

Could you tell which fantasia it is?
I like these piece, I would like to try it :-)

The actual composer is Arcas, but back then I guess no one cared about copyrights, and people took credit for other's work :)
I'm not an expert on classical guitar but I think your playing is great!
Thank you! I'll take that from a non expert as well ;)
Hi great playing. I would like to know who made your guitar?

Hi I was wondering where I could get the music score for this? Thank you
If you search online there is a PDF version available.
brava
i am new in guitar so i want to know how do u play this kind of songs do you need the chords to play it and did you learn it in site or school ??
Sorry for my very late reply. I learned it from sheet music. It would be very tricky to learn a piece of this complexity from sight, though not impossible. But in classical guitar we tend to use printed music when we learn something. I did go to school for guitar, I have a bachelors and a master degree from a music conservatory, so that helps ;)

Is this very different than tarrega's version?
I think the Tarrega's version add a tremolo section
this piece is transcribe by maestro tarrega not j arcas
I love you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..................................
I'm confused.. isn't that a Francisco Tarrega fantasy? Did Tarrega re-edit this? I think that Arcas was his teacher

Guitarra y mujer acen sentirte bien
Arcas o Tarrega?????
Oi me da 1% da sua técnica.
What is on your hand , are you hurt sweet Gohar ?
It’s a sleeve to protect the guitar from the sweat and oils of human skin when playing in short sleeves.
🙏🙏🙏👏👏👏
Hej,tack tack💖💖💖
Beautiful!
